Awesome variety of sandwiches and some amusingly sassy sandwich makers to boot. You’ll never get bored of the variety, and the prices seem on point for the size(which includes a cookie and a pickle sidecar). Loses a star for the tequila — while the selection is amazing I get the feeling the prices are too high. No real values to be had here. In fact, I can’t figure it out — the inventory is huge but none of it ever seems to go anywhere. Almost like it’s a tequila laundering operation. But that doesn’t make sense — or does it?

This is a review of their online Tequila Super Store. The name truly sums it up, they are the best online Tequila store there is. Their selection is amazing. I have found some very rare tequilas here, including the Casa Noble 5 year Black Gold. Their pricing is fantastic and their customer service second to none. I’ve ordered a few times from them and the orders always arrive quickly and in great shape. Their packing is a marvel to behold.

Best liquor store in San Diego. The owner and people that work there are the best in San Diego. Not only the best selection of tequilas around but one of the best delis around. Friendly staff and great service. A definite go to. Whyvshop any where else. Sam and Diane make great sandwiches and«Z» the owner is the best.

This place is back on track with service. Can’t beat the deli here. No place in San Diego is as good or has as good service. Try the San Diegan chicken sandwich.

This place was just ok. I walked in and first impression was they were impatient and pushy which is not customer service at all. No hi how are you welcome or anything greeting at all. Just which sandwich do you want… The men seemed angry and talked very aggressively but the lady that made my sandwich was friendly and nice. The sandwich I ordered was called the Summer Love. Turkey provolone cheese, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes onions and mustard on squaw bread. I added avocado as well for 1.89 which was never added and I didn’t notice until I got back to my hotel to eat it :(real bummer. The thing I hate the most is when your really in the mood for a particular something and your all set and ready to eat and it’s not their. Ugh… Frustrating… Anyhow I’ve had much better for the price. Jersey mikes or cousins is way better by far. So sorry to say but I won’t be back.

If you want decent sandwich in old town, this is the place. No place to eat other than little patio area.(Doesn’t look clean/4 tables) but food is good! and cheap.

This is the best deli in town! Diane makes the sandwiches, she is kind and always remembers you by name. My son loves this place so much he buys two sandwiches at a time and saves one for later! Recently I ordered lunch and when I got there I realized that I forgot my wallet. They said«no problem» and let me pay the next day.

This place is right across from my work, so I eat here at least once a week. At first I was a little unsure about how good the food would be since it the store itself could be in better shape. The deli though, is amazing. the sandwiches are always piled high and they have all sorts of ingredients from salami, to artichoke hearts, and all sorts of breads meats and cheeses. You can make your own sandwich or choose from one of their menu options. The sandwich also will come with a cookie and a pickle when they have the items in stock. My personal favorite is the«heart-which» with turkey, cheese, sprouts, artichoke hearts, and bell peppers. This store is also known for its very extensive tequila collection, you can find about any kind of tequila here including some with extravagant hand-painted bottles ranging from $ 18– $ 500! If you’re visiting old town this would definitely be a good stop if your nearby!

Friendly people and good prices, but it seems like 4 out of 5 of the packaged goods I pick up are months past their«best by» dates. I’m talking peanuts, chips, mozzarella sticks, Odwalla juice, etc. Makes me suspect about what they use behind the counter.

I’m not lying when I say that Old Town Liquor and Deli makes some of the BEST sandwiches that I have ever had from any deli! My all-time favorite sandwich is the Mission(with sprouts)! These sandwiches never disappoint, and neither do the sweet ladies making them! Honestly, you can’t go wrong for a huge 6 dollar sandwich with amazing taste.

Thanks Unilocalers. When we walked in all we could smell was bacon!!! We scored here. Perfectly toasted sourdough, ample crunchy bacon, shredded lettuce, tomato add avocado. It was perfectly delicious! Tables outside, we’ll be back for sure. Lots of sandwich options for around $ 5.50. Egg sandwiches too. Nice lady making delicious sammies.

Maybe I’m a sucker for the older russian sandwich lady, or free pickles, but I love this place and their true deli vibe. This is one of the few deli’s in San Diego that can bring back that memories of the NY deli’s of my youth, and one of the few stores that stocks diet ginger ale and seltzers. The wait at most has been 5 minutes, for a sandwich that is made with love(and worth the wait). I would recommend the San Diego Chicken or the BLT, definitely get it toasted.

INCREDIBLE sandwiches. My personal favorite is their«World famous San Diego Chicken» its honestly the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, I don’ t know how they do it! I work at the hotel across the street so I go there fairly frequently and I send any guests looking for a sandwich their way. Its primarily a liquor store with the sandwich counter in the back so it looks kinda sketchy but honestly the sandwiches are a hidden gem in old town. No one I send over there comes back disappointed. And the lady who makes them their is such a sweetheart and gives great customer service! Love this place.

I used to live around the corner from this deli/liquor store. This is the perfect stop for a quick bite to eat and while you wait for your sandwich you can look through the enormous selection of tequilas. This store has the largest selection of domestic and imported tequilas and the staff is very knowledgable and always friendly. I’m sure they have beer and other drinks but I never make it to that side of the store.

An amazing selection of tequila & liquor. Very friendly & again an amazing selection. Slightly overstocked(couldn’t walk through some isles), but as I state again, an amazing selection(tequila in bottles shaped like guns and cacti!)

This place is about ½ the size of an average Trader Joe’s, and looks fairly unremarkable from the outside. Once you walk inside and start looking around, you realize(1) only ¼ of the store is devoted to beer, wine, chips, deli, and the usual bodega stuff(2) the remaining ¾ of the store is ALLTEQUILA. These guys are very knowledgable about tequila and can help you find one for your tastes. I have about 20 bottles of decent sipping tequila at home(yes, a slight hoarding problem). After talking to the staff about what I currently like the best, they recommended a brand I had never heard of. Once I cracked it and took a whiff I knew I’d rank it near the top of my collection, ITISDELICIOUS. If you go here to get margarita grade tequila you are missing out on a whole world of boozy goodness. Worth the trip to Old Town even if you’re not a tourist.

I star is too much. Buried in my sandwich was a rotten, moldy tomato. That and the brown avocado was too much. When I asked the(what appeared to be the owner) where the«Peace Tea’ was he told me they didn’t have any. Turns out, he did not understand me, and just wanted to not deal with me. He was rude and argumentative. I would not go back, even for a piece of gum. YUCK!(if they feed you moldy tomatoes, what else will they feed you that is not as obvious?) Did I mention the MOLD on my tomato?
