Elisa is very sweet and definitely knowledgeable about her trade. She is genuinely very kind and accommodating and offers exceptional customer service. Also, she’s very keen on identifying skin issues and giving a very thorough analysis on what the root of the issue may be, what remedies would be most effective, and why. When she was explaining to me what changes I needed to make with my skin routine and diet it all made clear sense to me and I knew what I had to do to tackle the issues I was facing with my skin.
During my first appointment with her I had a pro peel and extraction done. It was a very relaxing experience and she talked me through it explaining what she was doing, what to expect, and checking in to make sure I was okay. She told me the extractions would be quite uncomfortable but honestly the experience was not that bad at all. She’s definitely mastered her ability to perform an effective extraction with minimal pain or discomfort.
After my Pro peel, my skin did show some significant improvement. My acne cleared up significantly and my skin looks brighter and healthier. I did experience some sensitivity on my neck after the procedure but the ointment she gave me was very effective in treating it and it quickly went away. During our follow up appointment she suggested which treatment would work best for my skin moving forward to continue minimizing my breakouts and to treat my acne scars.

I have been a client of Elisa’s for over 3 years now and followed her from her first location in Hillcrest to her current location in North Park. I started with a Groupon and from the first visit, she changed my skin. Let me tell you why she is the best facialist I’ve ever been to, hands down:
1) She knows skin: Elisa is extremely bright and curious which are great ingredients for being a good facialist. She really takes the time to get to know your skin and it’s reflected in the way she practices her art. She actively participates in continuing education and implements the latest practices and materials in her work.
2) Her facials are the real deal (or peel :)): For the price, you cannot beat Elisa’s services. Every facial/​peel includes a preliminary discussion and bright-​light look at your skin and how you are doing (period, perimenopause, menopause, pregnancy, stressed out, etc.), a well-​explained and mutually agreed upon peel and/​or enzyme regimen taking into account your plans for the weekend or event, your long-​term goals for skin texture and appearance, etc., cleaning and exfoliation with her new totally natural and organic skin product line (which I love as I have sensitive skin), followed by the application of the enzyme that she’s selected (and every one I’ve used has been great), then microdermabrasion, and extractions. I have to say something about Elisa’s extractions. How many times, ladies with acneic skin, have you had a facialist say that you don’t have anything going on (blackheads, whiteheads) but you know you do? Well, Elisa is pretty persnickety about it and more aggressive than most all other facialists I’ve used and not timid in doing some work. I’ve not experienced any bad results from her extractions and they’ve healed very well. Again, attention to detail, which she excels at. For you not suffering from acne, sorry for the digression.
3) No pressure to buy product: But her new organic skin care line is so good you’ll be asking to buy it. Seriously.
After the microderm she gently applies the peel and after the appointed time, removes deftly with very warm super good feeling wet towels and then adds protective and growth-​enhancing serum, moisturizer for your skin type and unless dark or very grey, sunscreen (which is also wonderful; it smells a bit like chocolate).
3) Her location is easy and parking is free! And you can book ONLINE, which is very nice. The studio is located in a multi-​salon ground floor building with residential over top right on 30^th at Lincoln. The parking structure is accessed by the alley to the entrance which has a sign saying retail parking. Park there and your reservation will provide you with the rest of the info!
Elisa is a very competent skin care professional who I’ve entrusted with my skin for over 3 years. She offers exceptional service, products and results and she is also a wonderful person. Highly recommended!

I’ve literally had my eye on Peel Simply Skin for the past 2 years. Elisa came highly recommended from a few of my clients. I fiiiinallllyyy got around to booking an appointment. She has convenient online booking, the only availability she had that would work with my schedule was 2 months out but I was okay with that (I’m a planner) and trust me she is well worth the wait.
I’ve been struggling with deep breakouts all over my face. Elisa took the time to explain each step of our facial and made sure to check in with me to make sure I was doing okay from time to time.
The extractions weren’t half as brutal as I’ve experienced with past facials, but still very through. Halfway thru my appointment I was already thinking to ask when I should book my next appointment. I just can’t say enough to explain how amazing my experience was! She sent me home with a few samples to try (which I always appreciate before investing in the full size) and there was no pressure to buy anything.
The prices are more then fair for the quality of work and knowledge you receive. I’m now a client for life and will continue to refer all family, friends or anyone in need of a skin specialist. Thanks Elisa!

I’m so impressed and satisfied! Elisa goes way beyond the basics. Even the music she plays is good! Ive seen Elisa twice, once for a peel and today was for enzyme and facial. She was thorough and customized the treatment to my skin and what I wanted to focus on. She spent extra time making sure I was taken care of. I’m definitely coming back, such a relaxing experience (okay maybe besides the extractions!) And my skin so appreciates it!

I went to Peel Simply because of the Unilocal ratings and I am so happy I did. Elisa is definitely an expert with facials and peels. I have had peels in the past with other establishments but Elisa’s peel was less harsh, not painful at all, and the recovery time was very fast. The results are amazing. It has only been a few days after my peel was done but already my face is fuller, tighter and brighter. The procedure is very relaxing, Elisa is so nice to talk to and her prices are very competitive. I look forward to the next facial with Elisa. I truly recommend Peel Simply Skin.

You will receive great, extensive, luxurious, natural treatments here! =) I like the natural approach that Elisa takes and the products she uses. The services are very relaxing. Great music choices! It’s a very soothing service :-)
She doesn’t push you on any sales and she offers many discounts.
TIP: You will need to have a very open schedule, though, or book 6 – 8 weeks in advance to get in with her. So make sure to book way in advance!

After moving to San Diego, I have been scouring Unilocal trying to find an esthetician that I could trust. Peel Simply Skin had by far the best reviews so I decided to book an appointment. Elisa is seriously the nicest woman! She greets you like a friend she hasn’t seen in awhile and immediately makes you feel very comfortable in her care. Her skin is also amazing. It’s nice to see when the person working on your skin also practices healthy skincare. Elisa started off by analyzing my skin and making sure that the Enzyme Peel & Microdermabrasion I chose was right for my skin. After the most relaxing facial (with the best scents), she explained the reason for my problem areas and the best approach for a new cleansing routine. She even offered samples to get me started. I’m very excited to try these new products and book another appointment with Elisa!

Elisa is amazing! I highly recommend coming to her. She is extremely knowledgeable and puts a lot of care into her work. I have struggled with acne since I was a teenager and I am always apprehensive about getting a facial because I usually get some sort of lecture about the current state of my skin from the esthatician (as if I didnt know the current state of my skin already ;). I received a Pro Peel from Elisa 9 days ago and wanted to give enough time before I wrote my review to let my skin full embrace the peel. OH MY GOSH. The pro peel she gave me was to lighten acne scars and some freckles all over my face and WOW did this peel lighten the hyper pigmentation! I have a glow! Just what I wanted. I am going in for a second to get a more dramatic result, but the first was still very very effective. I highly recommend for a deep peel, and any facial for that matter! It was soothing, comforting and she really pays close attention to detail. I had never got a facial before, but I am safe to assume I got probably one of the best I could find. Her prices are very affordable for the quality of services! Couldn’t have wanted more!

I have never been to an Esthetician who is so thorough and knowledgeable. I have only worn make up a few times since my appointment because my skin is still glowing. Elisa gave me some recommendations that I have been using for my home routine and the small changes have made a world of difference. I searched for a while to find Elisa and I am glad because she is the best. I read her reviews here and was excited for my facial. She walked me through every step and answered all my questions, trust me I had plenty. Since I had to leave the peel on for 14 hours, I emailed her with updates and she was extremely helpful. It has been a week and I am seen so many results with my skin and feels so soft. Now I can start the new year with a healthy skin and I can’t wait for my next facial.

Can I give 6 stars? I just had my first facial here this past weekend, and I could not be more pleased with the entire experience! Let me start off by saying that the traffic here on saturday nights is HORRENDOUS, I really had no idea that this area was super poppin on saturday nights, so it took me about 30 minutes to find parking. I ended up being 30 minutes late to my appointment for this reason. Elisa was so incredibly nice and flexible that she waited for me, gave me no attitude whatsoever, and still took her time with my facial. The décor here is phenomenal… I really felt like I was being pampered and could de-​stress. Elisa asked my some questions about my skin concerns and goals and explained what she was going to do.
The entire facial felt amazing… everything smelled great and Elisa’s hands are so gentle and relaxing, as is her voice, and her choice of music. The entire experience was just perfect. The extraction was the only painful part, and even that wasn’t as bad as I expected.
It’s been 4 days since my facial and my skin looks amazing still! Thank you Elisa for the best facial ever!

I am so happy with the services I received at Peel Simply Skin. I e-​mailed Elisa and asked her to keep me in mind if she had a cancellation as my skin was a total nightmare at the time. I didn’t really give it much more thought. I got an e-​mail within 24 hours and was able to squeeze in!
I have never had a more thorough facial or someone who really took the time to look at my skin and analyze what was going on with it. Elisa really wanted to make sure that my concerns were addressed and that I left happy with the services provided.
I left that day and immediately re-​booked another facial. I have never done that with another aesthetician. You have to try her out, she is amazing :)

This place is wonderful. I have been there twice, and had a great experience both times. Elisa is professional, and explains everything she is going to do beforehand. The products she uses have been good for my skin, and she is great at checking to see how my skin reacts with anything she uses — so as to remove early if it’s too uncomfortable. The extractions are a tad painful, but when aren’t they. She is fast though — so it doesn’t last long.
Overall though, the experience was mostly relaxing. I will definitely be continuing to visit for facials.

There are aestheticians who are extremely knowledgeable while judgey. There are aestheticians who aren’t judgey but are pricey.
And then there is Elisa and Peel Simply Skin. Knowledgeable, encouraging, friendly and so so affordable for the amount of work and love she puts into your skin! Its seriously like getting a facial from your best friend.
From the moment you walk in, you just know you’re going to be well taken care of — and you are! From the muted lighting, the soothing music, and the beautiful citrus scented steam she has going… your next 75 minutes are going to be amazing from thereon out. From the cleansing, exfoliating, moisturizing, microdermabrasioning, and even the painful extractioning… all amazing, I promise! Plus, she is always giving great samples of products she thinks would work well with your skin. It is all so personalized, thorough, and friendly, I wish I could see her every week!
If these 100+ 5 star reviews aren’t convincing you to go see her, I really don’t know what will! She is also always booked out pretty far in advance… which isn’t a bad thing because it shows how much clients like me love her. Give her a try and you will see why I treat all my appointments with Elisa like gold!

My husband and I were seeking a place that was open on a Sunday. This is a day we like to enjoy brunch and then do something to treat ourselves. We read all the 5 star reviews so it was worth our time to explore. I booked us our own appointments with Elisa. She was very professional, informative, but not in an invasive way. She takes her time and will do what is right for your skin and takes your requests and main needs into consideration. My skin did exactly what she said it would do! Elisa went out of her way to contact us in advance when their was an event occurring on the street in front of the building that could have delayed our visit. Not too many people would do this — something that is good for business. We have already booked our next appointment at Peel Simply Skin and look forward to our return.
