Best burger I’ve had in SD so far. Unique meats and toppings and they do the standards well. This means toasted bun and cooked medium. The onion rings are good too. The standard is decently priced and the staff are friendly and quick. They have a good beer selection and some wine too.

I got something that any other burger joint would have(not ready to try the crazees yet) and it was delicious. The place was chill and relaxing. You can also eat outside if you’d like. I would definitely come here again.

Great gourmet burger place without the gourmet price tags. Came here for dinner and I was in luck because it was happy hour still. I ordered the signature Angus burger with cheddar, frings and a root beer. The burger was very flavorful and the frings was very tasty. The root beer was iced cold and it was unlimited refills. There is a patio area if you want to get some fresh air and work on your tan. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. They serve exotic meats if you are craving it.

I rarely give a place 5 stars but this place is amazing!!! We sampled the alligator, elk, camel and muddy pig burgers and were not disappointed! Each burger was delightful, full of flavor and mouth watering. I can’t wait to return!

My girlfriend and I came here looking for something different to eat before going to the Dodgers and Padres game. I’m a big fan of bison meat so that’s where my search began and sure enough we came across this place. It’s located in a pretty busy area but with plenty to do afterwards. As for the food, it was great! With meats ranging from alligator, elk, camel, ostrich, ect. A little on the pricier side but what do you expect, this isn’t McDonald’s! Definitely will be heading back when I’m in town again.

Very solid burgers! This place is known for its variety of exotic meat burgers but they also do regular burgers very well. I have had a chance to try their camel burger at their previous location and it was excellent. This time around I opted for the Texas burger since I was craving bacon. The burger itself was perfectly cooked to a nice medium. The meat was very flavorful and the thick cut bacon was exactly what I wanted. The burgers come a la carte so you an add a side if you would like. My usual is to add frings(fries and onion rings) and they are so good. The onion rings here are excellent. Service is very good. You order at the counter and they give you a number and you seat yourself. They have a wide variety of beers on tap so grab a cold one and enjoy a great burger!

The draw here is the exotic meats available to try. I was particularly interested in trying Kangaroo when I was told that that meat was made illegal by Cali about 4 – 5 months ago. So, I went with Camel with their Moroccan Curry Hollandaise sauce. And, I also ordered their springs(half sweet potato, half onion rings). The food arrived quickly and everything smelled good. However, the camel was a bit too mild for my taste and was overpowered by the hollandaise sauce. I was expecting some kind of aftertaste which did not manifest itself. The meat reminded me of a juicier turkey burger. I did not order it with cheese, etc. as I wanted to taste the meat. Oh well, maybe I will try the Zebra or Yak if I’m ever in the area and those meats are served.

So I am a regular at this place and today I was really impressed with Lauren and Hanna. Great customer service, great hustle, and kept the place clean and super quick food delivery. Great smiles and personalities as well :) Oh yeah, the food is good too, try to get the happy hour drink if that’s your thing ;)

Their food is good(you’ll see plenty of people attest to that). Their sidewalk signs are entertaining(appreciated as I walk by). But there’s 2 things that make me drop them to 2-stars, and consider giving them only 1 star. IT’S 2016AND… 1) … they’re still serving to-go food in styrofoam containers — and Level 6 containers, at that! If you’re reading this, C.B., note: I will gladly pay the extra nickel or quarter, or 2 quarters PERCONTAINER for you to get what’s been around for YEARS — compostable packaging! If you’re a restaurant in this day and age(especially in hipster trendy N. Park), and you don’t know about this yet, you’re not doing your job in finding the sustainable thing to do. If you don’t care to stay up to date on that, and worse if you KNOW about the packaging and choose not to use it, then you’re straight up unethical. I know a lot of customers don’t give a damn about ethics, but some of us customers do.(p.s. The employee I asked about the packaging, didn’t even have a clue what I was talking about) 2) … they don’t know anything about the conditions/life of the animals from where their meat comes! I asked an employee about the animals they source their meat from, how they are raised/treated by their ranches/farms, and the employee had no idea what I was talking about, again, showing signs of disregard for ethics at C.B. It’s as if no one ever asks there about this stuff, and the owners/mgt/employees couldn’t care less. C.B., if you’re reading, and if you care, go over to the meat counter at Whole Foods/Whole Paycheck and get their«Step System» pamphlets about meat/animal sourcing. It’s easy to read/understand, and you’ll get up to speed with responsible/ethical restauranteering. There are PLENTY of meat-eaters who would GLADLY pay an extra buck or two PERBURGER to eat meat that came from animals who were not tortured. I would LOVE to be proved wrong about their meat sourcing, or see them switch to sustainable packaging, so if anyone has anything to say about that, please let me know!

I came in on a Wednesday evening. It was my first time ever here. Its in the heart of north park, in a prime location. The set up inside was kind of like a modern garage theme.(there is literally a garage door that lets you outside to the patio). The place has big open windows, floor to ceiling, and had about 10 tables that can accommodate up to about 6 people at once. There are a few big screen tvs, playing sports. needless to say this is an interesting set up. service: The service was amazing. The guys at the register were very helpful in helping us pick out a burger. This place has daily specials and hour deals on wine, beer, and burger combos which I was pleasantly surprised by. You order food at the cashier, and you can either sit and eat, or take it togo. I got an aloha burger with sweet potato fries, and went to sit down to wait for my food to be plated and brought out. Instead of serving you water, there is a cooler with water in it and its self serve. You grab your own tiny plastic come and have to get up and fill up your water on your own. Once your water is empty, you have to get back up and refill it again. Maybe if the cups were larger this would be ok, but this was really the only downfall. food: the aloha burger was awesome. It had a large pineapple smack dab in the middle, fresh onions, tomato, and teriyaki sauce. I had it with a chicken patty instead of a beef patty. The sweet potato fries were very sweet, almost sugary but very good. at the end of the meal one of the cashiers came up and took our plates. all in all I give this place a 4 for food and 4 for service and 5 for location

03/12/2016 This was part of the Burger Week from CityBeat. Trendy, fun, packed to the gills with people. Young and old gathering to eat this wonderful concoctions of wholesome meaty goodness. We ordered the $ 10 Buffalo burger with fries. Buffalo, buffalo how your meat taste so good. I was the first one yo finish… lol Prepare to park far, I parked all the way by Claire de Lune’s just to eat here! Many choices of beer, there is a menu on the wall with beers, wines, ciders. Many choices to choose from, I really wanted to try the hard cider, but I was driving. I will go back soon though. I would like to try other meats as well. The bathroom is located outside, they also have seating outside. The place is bigger than their last location… be prepared to wait, especially on the the weekend. This was our third burger stop of Burger week!

My boyfriend and I had decided to come in for the last day of burger week for the $ 5 burgers. We were so excited to try out the Texas burger and the Cajun burger along with a order of Crazee fries. We had ate nothing in the morning, so when we finally got to we were starving. We had grabbed the seat on the outside towards the back nearby the bathroom. Bathroom is located towards the right of the seating outside next to construction. We got a number to carry — my favorite #19 — and then grabbed some water which was nearby the front desk. His Texas burger was delicious and juicy — the sauce was the finishing touch. My Cajun burger did not taste as good I hoped but I still finished it. Crazee fries were yummy, crispy, and just the right amount of salty to eat along with the burger. Thankfully there were a roll of paper towels as we made quite the mess demolishing our burgers. It was actually the first time I finished a entire burger in one sitting — though my boyfriend had bite of mine. The remaining part of this review… is mainly speculation/assumption as I have nothing to prove. But just want to put it out there. I honestly been hesitating to write a review on this place as I am hoping that it was not them but from my symptoms there is a good chance it might have been them. After eating the burgers, we headed back home to take a nap. However after waking up I kept burping the entire night — not exactly sure why. As the burger was the only meal I had all day. Nighttime I ate some meat from H Mart as I was hungry from dinner. The next day I had diarrhea and then was feeling horrible the entire day on Monday. I ended up taking Tuesday off from work and I found out from the doctor that I had food poisoning though he could not determine from what. My boyfriend on the other hand was fine. It could have just been me not being able to take the oil from the burger or it could have just been a bad burger. So I just wanted to say that I thought the Cajun burger tasted okay, but I mainly loved the french fries, and the bite I got of the Texas burger. Service was okay — as we were both starving so the wait just seemed forever. I am planning on trying Crazee burger again though it will be for a while as my stomach has not recovered yet.

Um… deng. I went a few weeks ago and had the Muddy Pig, and a couple days ago I had the Cheesy. The Muddy Pig sounds odd, and let me tell you, the different flavors was unexpected… BUT that doesn’t mean it wasn’t awesome. I’m certainly a fan of this burger! Their fries are wicked good too! And the beer selection was impressive. I’m a fan!

Really yummy and interesting diversity of burgers. Had the $ 5 burger For burger week. It was really yummy and the fries that I had with it were also tasty. My main complaints are with the price and the environment. The price is to be expected for a small unique gastropub like this, but it is still on the high end of the spectrum, especially for burgers. As for the environment, it was a relatively cold night and the restaurant is open to the outside, so it was difficult to keep warm. Otherwise, this was a fun place to visit and I really did enjoy trying the burgers and drinks. I may come back for other deals. And if I do I will definitely bundle up better!

Always been a huge fan since their old location! First time coming to their new location and my thoughts are positively still the same. Can never go wrong with beers and burgers(at least this place doesn’t) Came in for Burger Week and was in love with their $ 5 Texas burger(bbq sauce and thick bacon), just as I expected. Nice and juicy, a little messy, but that’s no problem, Crazee Burger gotchu with a roll of paper towels as napkins. Menu looked the same from the last time I came to their old place and I loved every burger that I got, like their Portabella Mushroom burger and Aloha burger. They have daily deals for specific burgers… all simply bomb. Can’t wait to try their exotic burgers, like ostrich or kangaroo! Seems a little cruel, but I gotta try it. This place has much more room than before and the multiple TVs were a great touch. Only thing I miss are all of the artwork they would put up at their other location, especially the joint-smoking Mona Lisa

This place is definitely a must-try place! I was amazed that they had so many different kinds of meat. Originally, I really wanted to try the kangaroo burger but they sold out of it(guess I will just have to go back next time). I ordered the elk burger with fries. The sauce on the elk burger is absolutely delicious! It went really well with my fries since I did not use ketchup. I will say, it did get a bit messy with the burger, but it was well worth it. The staff was friendly too. The line was practically out the door, but she kept her cool and managed to make conversation with everyone in line.

I got the blue crab burger w/sweet potato fries = $ 16.18 It was worth it. The crab cake patty flavors went well with the slaw & white sauce they have with it. All of the flavors blended well together and was worth it more than having an original burger somewhere else.

So many burgers So little time It’s enough to stress my mind I’ve been to the old location a few times, but this is my first time trying out the new location. Always have the same problem, can’t decide because everything sounds so good! This time I ordered the Blue Crab, the patty seasoning was delicious with a mild crab flavor. Add in the sweet Chili-Cilantro Sauce and it wows with a punch of creamy goodness. Probably would make a great dipping sauce for french fries. My sweet potato fries came with parmesan cheese, a welcome addition. Definitely will be back again to try out more burgers and maybe a different beer from the rotating selection. I’ve tried the Belgian Amber beer, nice light color, smooth finish, great taste.

I’ve had a Groupon for this place for the longest time but never used it till the very last minute of its expiration. Procrastination at work. Upon entering, the décor seems unfinished. I’m sure that’s how it’s all supposed to look but I didn’t care for it much. I decided to come here for a post hike lunch with some friends and I ordered the camel burger with fried egg and avocado. I’ve never tried camel before(but I rode one) and it was actually pretty delicious. The meat was soft and juicy, not tough at all. The egg made the burger super messy but it was still bomb. The second time I came here, I tried the wild boar burger upon recommendation from my friend. I should not have listened to him. –_-” It was honestly the most… interesting burger I’ve had. It was a sweet burger with whipped cream inside along with the boar and bacon. I don’t think I can say I’ve ever tried a sweet burger till that day and I’m not sure if I liked it too much. I mean I still ate it all lol I don’t waste food But next time I come here, I’m trying something else or maybe go for the camel burger again!
