Great shop with great people! I took my car here yesterday and was worried
d that I maybe had a big problem on my hands. My dad recommended the shop to me so I knew I was in good hands. I dropped my car off at 8:30 AM and had it back before 5! They told me what was wrong with it and checked with me before adding a part on. Honest, fast, and they give it to you straight. And great prices! If you need a mechanic, go see these guys

Dropped my car off for a quick fix — my coils needed to be replaced. Very thorough. The inspection fee was a lot more than what I was expecting but it was convenient at the time and they did the job.

I take care of my cars. I was taking my Altima and Camry Hybrid to the dealers. I drive a lot and it was killing me. I found out about Pettey’s Auto from some friends. What a change! And I’m not talking Spare Change! Andrew gives me great service, he gives me the straight scoop. For example; I purchased a set of tires from a local tire shop, NOT Pettey’s the manager called me over to show me why I needed new struts, they had some oil residue on the shock. That was going to be $ 1400. I told the manager I would «get back to them». I spoke to Andrew Pettey, he said when you’re due for the next service we’ll check it out. He did and I saved $ 1400! I didn’t need struts. This is a family run shop Andrew and Karen are great, I guess that’s why they’ve been in business 30 something years.

I could not ask for better service. Andrew and his team were friendly, knowledgable, and quick to action. On a separate issue, he referred me to a specialist that handled a very unique issue with my car. Boy, did I appreciate that type of care and honesty.

I have been taking my 3 cars to a popular station for years. recently I moved all of my service needs to Andrew. It is a great experience to bring my cars to a family owned business that personally cares about your car. Andrew provides excellent customer service and I highly recommend this car service company

I have brought my car over many times just to get insight before I took it to the dealer to do warranty work. I got tired of the high charges I was seeing when I took my car to the dealership. Then I found this place. I am amazed each time I bring my car in at the quality of work they do and how low the cost is compared to other places. A fun excitement to do is take your car to the dealership and see what they tell you that you need fixed, then take that quote and your car over to Pettey’s and they will tell you how much of that list you actually need done and you will find yourself saving hundreds of dollars to keep your car running smoothly. This is the only place I take both my cars. When you get there ask for Andrew.

terrible place, had a problem with the work done and they became less reasonable. Don’t bring people that don’t know about their cars here, they will get overcharged. I see a lot of preying on the elderly here.

I would highly recommend Pettey’s Auto Service. My wife initially took her Honda to the Honda dealership for a simple oil change, when she left, we began noticing issues.
One of the suggestions after the oil change on the summary sheet, was to replace the battery, they mentioned to her that during a diagnosis of the charging system, the battery was the only thing that needed to be replaced. We ended up purchasing a battery through Costco the next day. We were still having issues, so we brought the car back to Honda, where we had to fight them to re-​check the charging system, it was then, they came back and said our alternator was bad, but that wasn’t the case two days prior when they initially checked. The price they quoted us for a new alternator was insane.
I contacted Pettey’s Auto Service, and they took us in the next morning, they took great care of us, replaced the alternator at a more than reasonable price and saved us a lot of money. I would recommend them to anyone. Going forward, I won’t trust anyone else with our vehicle, they were amazing!

I was referred to Pettey’s by a friend and I’m really glad. I brought my truck in with a dead battery, coolant leak, and a belt that needed to be changed badly. On top of that, I was going to be out of town for the entire week with hardly any cell reception.
Andrew kept me up to date almost every day and my car was done within a couple days. I was expecting a huge bill but what I got was something WAY below what I expected. They saved me a ton of money by being able to fix my coolant leak with clamps. They swapped my battery and the belt with ease and the work Justin (the mechanic) did seems solid (so far).
They finished my car so quick that I still had nearly a week left on my trip. Because I had so much time, they allowed me to keep my car in their parking lot until I was ready to pick it up.
Needless to say, I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage by these guys. They didn’t try to sell me air filters or any kind of extra services. I’ll be coming here from now on.

My husband and I have been doing business with this company for 3 years. They are honest about what your car really needs. I’m trying to keep my 2001 RAV4 alive (I love it), and I couldn’t do it without Andrew and his crew. A+

Love this place! Have been a customer for years! Yesterday I brought in my Honda odyssey after the dealer told me I needed over $ 1000 worth of work (it was in for a recall) Andrew let me know that I actually didn’t need what they said and fixed it for just over $ 450! Also when I picked it up they even washed it for me! So very happy! They are reliable and honest!

I have gone to the dealer and other auto repair/​maintenance places in the past, and now I only go to Pettey’s. The are honest and competive. I would not get tires there, but they can pretty much do everything else.

Andrew is the best.
You don’t have to be afraid that these mechanics will take advantage of you because this is a good man.
I brought my truck in, he got me right in and I felt like I was part of the family.

I went to Pettey’s Auto Service today and got my oiled changed on my 2005 Tundra. They did a great job and were able to change my oil even though I didn’t have an appointment. I went to Rubio’s for lunch and when I came back it was done! I know that going to a legit mechanic can be expensive for a simple oil change, but Andrew gave me a great price! It’s pretty much the same as what those EZ Lube (ripoff) guys charge and with Pettey’s Auto you don’t have to worry about them destroying your car.
I’ll definitely be coming back and I would recommend that you go here for all your car/​truck needs!

I’ll be honest I wanted to like the place, but the price for the service wasn’t worth it. I really feel I got taken with their labor cost as the part was fairly cheap. I called around after having it done and many places like the Shell Auto repair down the road stated a price nearly in half for parts and labor. I gave 2 stars since they were able to fix it same day unlike a few other places that told me 3 days which was rather unreal.
They called back quickly but I thought they could have spent a little more time explaining what exactly was the problem. They also gave me a list of other things that needed to be done but never wrote them down on their notes which made me question it.
I’ll update to 3 stars if my normal tech states what they said needs to be done. I’d honestly search elsewhere. I wouldn’t say any shop in particular but I just would avoid Ibera Place auto shops and wouldn’t be surprised if they all collaborated to keep costs high there.
That’s just my two cents.

I have taken my car to Pettey’s Auto Service since I met Andrew Pettey over a year ago. He consistently does great work at a low price. Once my car battery kept dying, even after I replaced it, so I knew that there was something else going on. I brought my car in and Andrew made a few tweaks to something under the hood (sorry, I do not speak car), and the problem was solved in under a half an hour. He didn’t even charge me! I haven’t had a problem with my battery since. I would highly recommend Pettey’s Auto Service for any of your vehicle needs.
