I came here to have my car smogged. It took about 30 minutes. I expected it to be quicker, but 30 minutes isn’t bad. The downside is there is nothing to do nearby if you aren’t hungry. So I had to sit in the tiny lobby and wait. Again, nothing to complain about. The only real downside was the customer service. Joe was behind the counter and he wasn’t very friendly. He was confusing if anything because he essentially just sat there like a mute as I inquired about getting my car smogged.

Smog Rip Off! Took my 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid for a smog. Despite my engine light being on, they ran the test anyways. It cost me $ 59 and it failed. Was told to take it to Ford dealership and that it would probably be under warranty. The Ford Dealer told me that Secor should never have run the smog test when the engine light was on– that it would surely fail. Most places tell you this. When I brought it back to Secor I told Joe what Ford had told me and he told me to ignore what Ford told me. The second smog passed. Joe asked for an additional $ 10 for a certificate now that it actually passed. Even though my receipt for $ 59 included the smog certificate fee of $ 8.25. For a total of $ 69 for the smog test (this is the high end of the California average smog fee range of $ 27-​$ 69).

Joe has reached out to me several times offering his services at a discounted rate due to the confusion my husband and I had when we called. Joe explained that they charge the same amount for a smog regardless of the vehicle. This makes sense after the first call we made the on Monday. Joe has been my family’s mechanic for over seven years! We have brought him our Hondas, Toyotas, Mazda, BMW, Lexus and recent Nissan. He is honest, clean shaven, not smelly, and his office is always sparkling clean!
His mechanic David is awesome too! Always answers questions if you have them. We have bought over three good reliable used cars from Joes personal car collection and they are still in great running condition. I will take my car to Joe over CarMax any day! All of our cars pass smog check easy and we consider Joe family.
I would recommend Secors to anyone by far. I have warranty with CarMax and I chose to come back to Joe because of the quality and reliability of his work. WE LOVE YOU JOE!

I can never get time off of work and they helped to complete my smog check barely making it ten minutes before closing and also honored my coupon discount that I was given over the phone. This was my first time ever having to get this done and the nicely shaven guy helped make this job a piece of cake!
