Platinum Mobile Detailing

I did not want to write this because there are so many glowing reviews for Elias and Platinum Detailing. I owned a mobile detailing company for 23 years so I know how they operate. I bought 2 Living Social exterior details. I made an appointment for both cars right after. The day of the appointments, they never showed up, never called and I could not get anyone on the phone. When I finally reached Elias (owner), he was at the gym and couldn’t talk. He doesn’t even answer the phone with the name of the company. He uses his personal phone for his business. I had to ask each time if I had reached Platinum Detailing. He is nice, and booked a new appointment. He or I had to change 2 more appointments. I booked both cars for today, Oct 21. It was for 9:30am. Once more, they were a no-​show. No call, no text and I cannot get through on the phone.
I am so upset and wonder if I am singled out for this treatment. I realize that things happen. What I cannot tolerate is complete unprofessional behavior. If this is a real business and not a hobby, run it like one! It’s a shame there is no recourse. So many bad businesses give auto detailing a bad rap. Be Leary of this one!

Although I never got to see this persons work… first time I called to make an appointment I was told to call back cause he was busy after I had told him I bought my deal on living social. Second time I called barely have me time to speak and explain but made an appointment none the less. Since then it’s been over 2 weeks… They cancelled my appointment 72hrs prior to the appointed time & date. I called back to set up an appointment as soon as possible since I wanted my interior cleaned before the baby arrives. (My car is not dirty to begin with) first call no ring sent straight to voicemail, second call it rang and got rejected. Left a voicemail & no one called back. Inadequate staffing! With the proper amount of staff you be able to keep up with the supply and demand. I’d rather take my money else where since I’m pressured for time.

I arranged a detailed service for my dad’s 2008 Honda Accord because I have mistreated as I drove it for the last two months. I am lazy so I hired a professional to clean the car so I can return it to him. I am so happy I chose Platinum because they did an amazing job. The Accord is super clean inside and out. The car has not looked this shiny since my dad bought the car.
In addition to the great work, the owner gave me a great discount for a detailed interior and exterior. The price was very reasonable for 3 hours of detailing. In fact, I think I underpaid him. Platinum also made an exception and came to my home on Sunday, which is their day off, when I cancelled on Saturday. The owner knew that it was very import that I return a clean car to my dad this weekend. After a week of horrible customer service, I am so happy to work with them.

Avoid at all costs! Totally unacceptable and unprofessional. Scheduled an appointment 10 days in advance. Never showed up. Called 3 times. No return call. Called next morning. Still waiting for return call. Wasted an afternoon which could have been put to much better use.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I had scheduled my exterior detailing that I Purchased on living social. The owner scheduled me but over booked and asked me to do later time in the day. He rescheduled me the day came and went. He completely forgot about me and said he forgot to schedule me in his calendar. So he offered me a free interior detailing and would do the exterior. He stated he had me on his calendar and today was the appt. no call no show. Absolutely nothing. I’m very frustrated. I called several times and appears he is ignoring calls and texts. Poor customer service. Horrible. I would not recommend.

I appreciate the acknowledgement. I don’t understand that being part of a «mobile» company means you travel to people. When booking, your company could have said La Jolla was too far from your home base in Chula Vista and not given an appointment (although I was told this was an area that your company serviced). If using a Living Social or Groupon was a problem, then best to not advertise it as such (others used it with no problem). Lastly, my friend was based in Chula Vista so there was no far drive and no one informed him that the appointment was cancelled even though he called and emailed trying to remind your company if they were still coming or not. I am not sure what was meant by next time when no one bothered to contact back to reschedule an appt. I only decided to post this review out of frustration when I tried to contact your company twice to reschedule and to help others avoid this situation.

My two kids left an open invitation for ants to come make their new home in my car. In addition to a few coffee spills I was in need. Elias was able to see that I really needed help and was very accommodating. My car is beautiful!!! Ants are gone, milk and coffee spills were eliminated. I was the worst case scenario and Elias was able to fix it with ease. I highly recommend Platinum Detailing, if you are comparing, look no longer, you have found the best!

I bought a deal thru Half Price San Diego. I have a minivan and I can tell you my car looked awesome after it was finished. The two men who worked on my car did a great job. They were professional and worked for at least two hours to get my car cleaned, especially my leather seats. They were definitely tired after finishing up with my car.
I would highly recommend them, especially since they come to your house so you don’t need to go anywhere.

Saw the add on Half Price San Diego and after checking out the Unilocal reviews decided to give them a call. Elias answered all my questions and I quickly set up an appointment. My car had not been detailed in quite some time and I was worried it could not be restored to new condition. WRONG! Elias did it himself (had a partner) and my car looks just as it did on the lot two and a half years ago. What a deal! Trust me… he works magic! The car is awesome. He did two cars at the job site (co-​worker) and two other co-​workers are having him out later this week. Wonderful job! Interior is amazing… every thing looks new. Carpet, mats, seats (leather) every inch is back to new condition. Outer is shining and perfect. I can’t believe my eyes. Call Elias and you won’t be sorry. Killer job! I am going to have him come back for the bi weekly washes. Great, great work!!!

Before I purchased a deal on Half Price San Diego I looked these people up here and after reading the reviews decided to give them a shot. WHAT A BIG MISTAKE!!!
1. I called 3 times and left 3 messages requesting a call back so I could make an appointment. I didn’t receive a call. I FINALLY got a hold of Elias on the 4^th try.
2. During our call I let Elias know I purchased the complete interior and exterior deal and I got home from work at 6:30pm on weekdays so a weekend would be better. He insisted coming to my house on a weekday would be ok and they’d have enough time to finish the job. That was a LIE!
3. His «assistant» showed up to my house on a Wednesday at almost 7pm and requested I pay him a $ 25.00 tip. I was already going to tip him, but was surprised that he actually named a price. After working on my car for 1.5 hours (he only washed the seats and wiped off the interior) he said it was getting dark and he would return on Friday to finish the interior and wash the outside of the car. Friday came around and I didn’t receive a call from him. I called the guy’s cellphone number and didn’t get an answer.
4. Saturday morning I called Elias and let him know the guy he sent didn’t finish the job. I told him, his assistant requested an actual amount for a tip and he washed the seats and floors but didn’t clean the inside properly and did not clean the outside of the car. Elias said he would check with his guy and give me a call back. THIS WAS 2 WEEKS AGO!!! I have not received a call from Elias and my car was never fully cleaned.
I understand that sometimes people have unique situations and whatever, but this business was COMPLETELY unprofessional. I expected at least a call letting me know what happened and why the guy never returned to finish the job. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody.

My hunnys interior of his car was horrible and Elias made it look brand new! Loved it! He cleaned my seats and clean up my car real well too! Elias takes pride in his work and it shows.

I recently paid off my car and decided to give it a much needed scrub down. We found Platinum here on Unilocal and was happy to get two hard-​working and super professional guys. They were easy to talk to and informative. I went for the Clay Bar treatment and a buffing, including a full interior detailing and upholstery shampoo. My SUV was left as good as it looked when I first bought the car! Elias and Richard have a meticulous eye for detailing. I asked to have my car done by a certain time and they delivered so overall I am a very happy customer and I’ll definitely be calling them up in the future.

I’ve used this service twice and both times I was impressed w the job they did. Elias is reliable, friendly, flexible and most importantly, very thorough when cleaning!
A mobile service that comes to you, does a great job and has good prices is unheard of. I’ve been passing out his business cards everywhere because he’s a business owner I want to see succeed.

Elias is a perfectionist. He showed up on time and worked almost all day on my car to make it sparkle like new inside and out for the first time in a decade.

Elias has detailed my mini van about 3 times and each time he has take a filthy car and transformed it into almost new condition. He spends close to 4 hours, or whatever it takes to do a WONDERFUL, thorough job. He is well worth the money and a REALLY NICE guy. He now details my parents cars too. I hightly recommend him to everyone. His service is an EXCELLENT VALUE and what’s even better, he comes to your house.

Bought a Groupon for a complete interior/​exterior detail from Platinum Mobile Detailing. I called and was able to get an appointment set up right away!
Elias did a FANTASTIC job on our car! He spent nearly 4 hours on the detail and our car looks brand new. He really made sure to focus on the areas I was most concerned with and all of the stains are gone!
We had some difficult stains on the ceiling from an apple juice incident. The stains had turned brown and were EVERYWHERE. The ceiling of the car is a very light tan color and all of the stains are gone with no sign of them ever being there. Everything looks spotless inside.
The outside of the car looks fresh off of the dealership lot! Completely spotless and waxed to perfection! We have a black vehicle, so I was impressed with how good he made it look. He did offer us an additional service before he waxed the car, but was not pushy about us purchasing it. I appreciated that.
Overall, I felt that Elias gave his full attention to the detailing of our vehicle. He did not rush and he took all the time that was needed. We have dealt with other detailing companies in the past that did not do nearly as good of a job as we received from Platinum Mobile Detailing. Everything looks fantastic and I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing any detailing work done! Thank you guys for such a wonderful experience!
