Visiting San Diego and needed a pedi! This place was awesome! My lady was great, talked enough to make me feel welcome but let me enjoy my time. Highly recommended

Was in desperate need a mani/​pedi. Had some time so stopped in here. When i «checked in» on Unilocal,it offered a special price of $ 28 for a gel mani with paraffin treatment. I also had a 45 minute deluxe pedi.
There are both hits and misses at this place.
Hit:
— very attentive to the client, and they really do go to great length to do a through job.
— i liked that while i was getting my pedi, i was also able to have my mani done so i didn’t have to waste valuable time.
— great selection of color for gel!
— as noted in previous reviews, the pedicure does give a great leg massage.
— the paraffin treatment was excellent. It really brought life back to my dry skin.
— pedi chairs are multi functional
— like that they did use a one time use plastic bag in the pedi bowl and a one time use bubbler
Misses:
— a little bit on the «not too clean side»
— a little worn, where i was sitting, at the end chairs– facing the doors to the waxing room and another room — these doors needed a good wipe down
Overall, i was very pleased with the attention and service and $ 62 for both (tip additional $ 16) i think it was a value.

I wrote a review on this nail salon a few months ago and it was pretty terrifying as far as customer service and the treatment of my child. They also ruined my nail beds and for 2 months following services, I had to go to someone to try and fix my severly damaged nails! Also, I had a friend drive 40 minutes just to get paedicures and a full set with me and she wasn’t able to get thet full set because they «didn’t have a enough time» (even though we made reservations) BUT they had enough time to do a full set to a woman who walked in 35 mins after we started our scorching HOT (water) pedicures!!! All for a super over priced service! $ 70 each! When other places do it for a fraction of the cost!
*** Since the review, the owner contacted me and promised the services for free and a refund. I told her I would rather just take the refund as I didn’t want to go back there, but I really appreciated her gesture and would remove the review because she was so caring and professional in running her business! ****WELL that turned into a JOKE! She never sent the refund and for the last 2 months, I’ve been unable to get a response from her! Once I removed the review, she wrote me off!
So here’s the WARNING: DO NOT go to this nail salon! (Next to menchies off sport arena) You will regret it and may have damages to your nails that take monthhs to repair! And as long as you don’t publicly complain, the owner doesn’t care! She is extremely unprofessional and it goes to show why her salon is ran the way it is! I’ve told all friends who live in the area to ban this place and will continue to do so. It didn’t take much convincing when they saw the outcome of my pedicure and awful manicure (remember I was unable to get a fullset!) And I’m certain the staff were talking about the 3 of us in their language. It was uncomfortable and obvious! Oh! And I see great comments from regulars that go there… I’m guessing they get the BEST treatment because they go regularly! If you’re just an occasional drop in, good luck! *DISGUSTED*

Today I got a gel manicure and the deluxe pedicure. Cari did my manicure and Tom did my pedicure. They did an amazing job. They both were very attentive and made sure I really liked my color and the massages were awesome! I’ll definitely be back!
I did the Deluxe version of both but they did both at the same time. I had no wait time and was out in just about an hour.

I happened to stumble upon this little gem. When I walked in I was greeted immediately, and helped with my pedicure right away. They offer several pedicure options ranging from 19-​to 45ish bucks. I went with a $ 35 option which came with citrus massage, Rock massage, and call us removal. First off the spa chairs are to die for! The massage chair would hug your body and give a great, smooth, soothing massage. I was very impressed with the sanitation precautions. The nail technician (Lisa) used a tub liner for the spa chair, and would put all her used implements in the barbicide immediately after use. And my actual pedicure was spectacular. Lisa was very sweet, and did a wonderful job on my pedi. In short, I’m hooked and will definitely be coming back.

Polish Pros salon was able to schedule me with a last minute appointment. I was assigned to Kathy. She’s very kind, personable, and listened to my requests. I’m very particular with pedicures and she met my expectations. I will be returning!

First time coming here and I’ll definitely be back again! Nancy, the person who did my toes, was amazing! She has a lot of cool stories about her life and she’s very meticulous so my toes and feet feel so fresh and clean! ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would go back here again! Love the environment too!

I used to go to Paradise Nails, but they always made me wait, sometimes over 30 minutes past my appointment time. I finally got fed up with it and decided to try POLISH PROS. It’s now been over a year and I would never go anywhere else. Tracy does a meticulous job with my fills and gel. They also have a HUGE SELECTION of colors! As it turns out, they do a better job than the other place ever did… and I never wait!

Update on my previous review: After posting about my gel manicure that chipped after a few days, the owner Melissa emailed me and offered to refund me for the manicure I was not happy with and and another free manicure on top of it, which was extremely generous. Great customer service.

This was my first time getting gel extensions and it was the best experience. Kathy was so amazing and calm and nice and she let me pick out my shape and my color and I was very very happy with the results. Their salon is clean and bright and everything is very sanitary. I got an acrylic manicure (traditional whitw french tip) and a basic pedicure french tip. Absolutely loved it here, the prices are average but they really spent there time to make it perfect. Kathy did my nails and did a very intricate job, I also saw her do another womans manicure while I was getting my toes done and her nails came out so amazing they looked like they were from a magazine!

Kathy does the best job and was professional and courteous. My black tip French manicure came out flawless after I had a terrible experience elsewhere. This is a beautiful salon and clean and Kathy does a great job!

I got a full set with hard gel and gel polish done by Tracy. I come to polish pros every few weeks and they are always very nice and accommodating. The salon is very nice, bright, and clean and in a nice central location down in Sports Arena. Come visit!

I just moved from San Francisco to San Diego a month ago and have been trying to find a nail place. I always drive by Polish Pros when I would do my shopping, ended up looking them up on Unilocal and decided to give them a try. Wow was I impressed! Everything from the cleanliness of the salon, to the HUGE selection of colors, to the super friendly staff, I loved everything about this experience. Tom did a great job on my nails, I look forward to coming back to have him do them again. Nancy gave me the best pedicure I’ve ever had! I absolutely love this place!

I adore this location and Tracy in particular is fantastic. I have been seeing her for years and have always been pleased with the quality of service and friendly staff. Easy parking, reasonable prices, and I always leave with a great manicure or pedicure.

Polish Pros is thee best nail shop in San Diego HANDS DOWN! I have been coming here for many, many years. Tracy does my manicures. The coats applied are always even. She takes great great pride in her work. You will always leave with a clean polished look and feel. She knows what colors best work for your nails.
Cathy is my go to person for pedicures. She takes her time and gives thee best massages. She is very sweet and takes great pride in her work as well. I’m in love with the shops atmosphere. Everytime I come in I am warmly greeted by Darren.
They are truly my family and feel loved when I step foot in the door.
