Ray Street Custom Framing provides one-​on-​one customer attention, and approaches every custom framing job with an artist’s eye. Our wide variety of quality acid-​free archival materials include wood and metal frame series made by local San Diego craftsmen; an exclusive line of Peruvian leather frames; glitter frames; eco-​friendly framing options; and more. We welcome art of all kinds, including original paintings and drawings, needlepoint or cross-​stitch, old photographs, diplomas, sports memorabilia, mirrors, risqué items, 3-​D objects, oddly-​sized or hard-​to-​frame pieces — you name it, we’ve framed it!

Business Owner

Michelle has lived in San Diego for ten years, and absolutes love the opportunities to collaborate with so many other artists and venues in the North Park arts district. With a B.S. Ed. in art education from the University of Georgia, Michelle first became interested in framing as an artist. As she framed more of her own pieces, she realized how important presentation and conservation are to both the artist and the collector. For Michelle, custom framing is a way to enhance and protect the things that inspire us every day. One of the joys of owning her own frame shop is also the opportunity for Michelle to support the work of other talented local artists, by using a portion of her shop space to display a rotating series of art exhibits by local painters, printmakers, photographers, and more.
