SD Cell Phone Repair

Samsung Galaxy S3 cellphone stopped working. fortunately, this shop has hours outside of 8 AM to 5 PM so popped by around 6 PM !! Got a quick estimate, which was spot on. The problem ended up being failed power toggle on the phone which had to be replaced. Phone was repaired for pick up by next day at 6 PM for around $ 45. Excellent and friendly customer service ! Strongly recommend.

Guy knows what he is doing. He can keep a conversation and make you laugh while working. He made my phone come back to life. Best place in the city.

Not sure if it was Dave or David, but he was amazing ! Came in with a broken IPhone 6 Plus screen, took a look at it and was able to put on a brand new screen in less than 15 minutes. While he was working on my phone, he was talking to other clients about their phone repairs and the cost. It amazed me ! Will definitely be back if I have a broken phone.

Kind of like reviewing a root canal — you don’t WANT to have to use their service but if you need it this is THE place to go. These guys are the bomb. I wish half the really important stuff I needed help with in my life got the care and treatment these guys put into their craft. Fair prices, great service and honest opinions. I hope I don’t have to come back soon but any shattered screens I see will be directed here without passing go. Really the best.

The big plus with this guy is that he is very honest.
I once took him an iPhone 6 and he told me honestly that
it was better to take it to the Apple store, since he might charge
more, because of buying and installing the replacement. I found
that really cool.

My iPhone 6 dropped the other day and unfortunately the screen was cracked — no other physical damage.
I thought to myself, do I get a brand new phone through insurance? And what would that entail? (Paying $ 200 to use the insurance I pay for to get a new phone — having to wait for it to ship and then reprogram the new phone yet again. Even though I back up everything via iCloud and on my computer, certain items like ‘Notes’ or something always happens and it can be a real pain)!
I called Tim this morning, I came in there shortly after. So friendly, detailed, and can fix your screen for half the price. I’m so glad I chose SD Repairs as they had wonderful customer service, very nice people, my phone was back in brand new condition within 15 minutes.

My iPhone 5s screen cracked on some cement when it fell out of my pocket (even though it had a case). After calling around to some screen repair people in the area I decided on this place. The guy was great on the phone and in person, and his coworker was able to fix my screen in about 10 minutes for $ 79 (which was the most affordable of all places I called). They take credit cards, and I found a parking spot on the street no problem. I would highly recommend this business to those in need of a screen repair!

Tim is such a great guy! He was incredible. He does the work right in front of you with complete expertise and total honesty! Most phone repair places take your phone away to some mysterious back room or want you to leave while they work so you can’t observe. I asked to watch his work and he immediately pulled the phone to the front counter and showed me his diagnostic process as he worked on it. I was surprised and very impressed.
This dude deserves like small business owner of the year award for his generosity to customers too. In the end, he gave me a brand new battery for practically half of what I’ve bought it for in the past. The dude might have only made like 5 bucks profit based on what he was charging me and the cost of the battery– which really is like next to nothing to pay him for his time working with my phone.
He’s an extremely honest dude. While I was there, I was overhearing him talk on the phone to potential incoming customers and he was so extremely honest. He turned down receiving a customer and very honestly recommended that they could purchase a new phone for the cost of fixing it due to the price of the part needed. He gave them the exact cost of the part and explained that its incredibly expensive to get a new part and the cost did not even include his very cheap fix-​it cost. It was even a super easy fix and he could have done it in like 5 mins. He also turned away 2^nd customer on the phone and gave them the name of a different store that was better equipped to make the repair that one customer wanted.
This is the kind of man you want to work on your phone. A dude who’s honest and skilled enough to work on your phone right in front of you, and willing to give you honest prices over the phone even if that means turning away a potential customer. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM. I can’t emphasize that enough. I’ve been to LOTS of cell phone repair places and this one is by far the best!
Never have I met a small owner that was this honest and friendly and could absolutely guarantee customer satisfaction as his primary concern.

I am so impressed with this place! I got my phone wet a couple days ago. The screen was working but not responding to touch. I took it somewhere else yesterday (read my reviews) and was so frustrated. I came here and walked out the happiest customer ever! They were super friendly, helpful and instead of having to replace my screen for $ 250 like the other shop told me, they actually took my phone apart and got the water out and my phone is now working! All for $ 35! I cannot even begin to thank you enough! Everything is AWESOME!

Great customer service and a speedy repair! I showed up and my cracked iPhone 6 screen was fixed in under 20 minutes for only $ 99. Had a nice conversation while he was repairing my phone and even saw him provide the same great customer service and friendliness to another customer who came in looking for a repair on another phone. Great business!

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. So here it is!
They replaced my mothers ipad case and after we got the ipad back, the button wasn’t working for some reason. Honestly, I think this was a problem before before we took the ipad in, but my mother said it wasn’t.
They gladly took the ipad back, took the brand new screen off that they just installed, changed the home button, and installed another new screen. All with a happy smile on their face. The ipad looks as good as new.
I would highly recommend this company simply because their customer service was so excellent.

Sadly, I’ve been over to see Tim a few times in the past six months. He always does an awesome job in a timely manner and at a fair price. Highly recommended!

I cracked my samsung galaxy s6 edge and called around to many shops, but only found 2 places that would actually fix it. Both places were expensive, but I found that it’s because the actual parts were expensive. I came here because they had the best reviews, and they were awesome. They are super reasonable and I never felt that I was being ripped off. Hopefully I won’t need to have another phone repaired, but if I do, I’ve found my go to place!

I wanted to go to a shop to have my phone examined because I’m not comfortable having someone come to my house to fix a cell phone.
When I showed up the employee was working on a device with another customer. I didn’t mind waiting. I didn’t wait very long before it was my turn as they were wrapping up when I arrived.
Coming from a technical background I appreciate a good troubleshooting practice. The technician opened my phone, examined it, and cleaned it a little. He tried the first solution but didn’t work. He tried the second solution by putting on a new battery; the phone booted up and seemed like it was going to work but device wouldn’t stay on. I had a feeling my 4s sustained a more complex internal damage but I wanted to try to revive it.
While my phone 4s could not be saved, I appreciate their time and effort.
I would come back to SD Cell Phone Repair if I ever need a mobile device repaired. I will recommend this shop to my friends and family.
The only negative comment is the room temperature, it was hot in the shop. They were in a temporary suite, #6, due to a fire damage in the other suite. One could step out in the lobby or side walk for fresh air.

My Nexus 5 had taken a fairly minor drop and was no longer receiving cellular signal. I did some research and tinkered with it a bit on my own to no avail, and after some unhelpful visits to the T-​Mobile store and another repair shop (both of which took a cursory look at my phone settings and gave up), I decided to take my crippled phone over to sd cell phone repair before calling it quits.
Dave helped me out and what impressed me was how knowledgeable he was about the engineering of the device and how genuinely interested he was about figuring out what was wrong with it. He was very thorough and ran through various possibilities: checked the settings, swapped out parts, carefully examined the motherboard, etc. All in all, he spent close to an hour trying to fix my phone, all the while explaining to me what he was doing. Unfortunately, sometimes things are broken beyond a reasonable repair, and we had to call it a loss. I wanted to compensate him for his time, but he wouldn’t accept it, as he was unable to fix it. I respect the craftsmanship, the attention to detail, and the customer service. If you’re in need of a phone repair, you’ll be in good hands here

Yaaaaas! I finally got my baby back. My nexus 5 power button decided to wear out on Friday, two days before I’m to leave for my week-​long vacation. My warranty expired, so LG wanted me to ship my phone and refused to give me a quote, so I decided to give my local shop a try. Some places specialized in just iPhones and Samsungs, but this place didn’t specify models, and they have a glorious 5 star rating.
Desperate for a fix on the day of my flight, I camped out of their shop until opening. David is cute, and very personable. He was the tech to handle my phone, and confirmed my suspicions on my phone. He touched base to inform me of the risks of soldering the new button on my phone and got Percy 2.0 running before I had to leave. When I popped in for pickup I got to meet Tim, and we got to talking about phones. Customer service is top-​notch, and it’s easy to see why. Pricing is great, and service is generally fast. I’d trust these guys with any of my phones.

SD Cell Phone Repair has got to be one of the best places I have been to. The service by Tim is out of this world. He is very knowledgeable, and a true craftsman in every sense of the word. He is a true gentleman, and a stand up guy. I was in the shop when a customer asked how much a repair was going to be, when he quoted the price she was not wanting to pay that much, so he recommended her to other shops in the area that do quality work and even gave her phone numbers to the places. He told her that she might have some luck there. You don’t see that too often. He was willing to lose a sale to keep a customer happy. To me, that would make me want to stay with him rather than go to some guy who just throws his hands up and goes «oh well, that’s the price. Take it or leave it!».
Tim also takes the time to get to know his customers, because on the off chance you have to come back he wants you to know that you are more than some quick cash (and I do mean quick because he is like a phone repair gun slinger… quick on the draw) he wants you to feel like a priority.
Look I could go on forever about this dude because he is good people, but he is quick, reliable, and friendly. His prices are on the low end of what I’ve seen too. If you have a problem with your phone stop on by and give Tim a try and I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I’m not at all surprised that he has five stars! My only complaint is that I wish I new about him sooner!
He, no exaggeration, fixed my phone in front of me in less than ten minutes. 28 bucks and a working phone? PERFECT!
