I try to avoid this subway if I can, alas, today I had forgotten my lunch and this is the nearest restaurant to my office. So I make my way over, and am greeted by the owner of the store who begins to prepare my sandwich. I asked for a 6 inch tuna on honey oat, everything is going fine until I begin to choose the veggies I want on my sandwich. I’ve been to some pretty stingy subways where the amount of veggies is minimal, but this man took the cake, and this wasn’t the first time it has happened. The veggies he put on my sandwich consisted of a semi handful of lettuce, two pieces of cucumber and tomato, three pieces of banana peppers and olives, and a few spinach leaves. I’m aware that they’re trying to make a profit but I think he doesn’t think about the satisfaction of his customers, with that being said I don’t think I’ll return. Which is sad because I’ve come across his employees and they’re very nice and actually know how to prepare a sandwich. If you do happen to walk in here for a bite beware of him and his stingy sandwiches.

This is Sad!!! Coming from the store owner… Today that Subway at 10:15am looking to order two foot long Tuna Salad and this is what I got. — not all bread types available, I mentioned that lunch is right around the corner: his response was we have to 12 to have all breads made So I took what he had and what he had to offer… The lettuce was wilted and he barely put enough, when ask for more or enough to cover the sandwich, he sigh and added more but this time the lettuce was brown… Tomatoes same thing had to ask for more to cover the sandwich Cucumbers same thing…4 small thin frozen slices Pickles same thing… 4 small iced, shrivel So, looking at this hot mess, I said I am going to drive across town to another Subway… To get fresh ingredients and rather pay more. His response was good you go then!!! I started to walk out, for a second turn and asked are you the Manager? His response was I am the store owner! My response was… You should really look at the two sandwiches that you made and go see what other Subways how there standards are!!! Will never go there again!!! Good luck Sir, where in an area with lots of eatery options and multi million dollar homes… Please also minus the one Start Ratting…

Can’t go wrong with subway sandwich, always cheap and consistent. The people here are efficient, fast and friendly. I usually get the turkey Italiano melt on their Italian bread with herbs and cheese with all the right fixings, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, jalapeños, peppercinnis and vinegarette. My husband get the foot long tuna melt(since it’s Friday he got it for $ 6, what a deal!). Great for a quick meal on the go!

I wish there was a zero star rating available. I like Subway and the ladies that make the sandwiches here are really great; I almost feel bad for this review because they are so nice… almost. The owner of this location is a SNEAKYTHIEF. On multiple occasions my coworkers and I have noticed that the price is always a little higher whenever we are rung up by the owner(he is an older Hispanic man named Guillermo I think). He will«forget» to apply the discount for the daily sandwich/deal and will ring your drink and chips separately instead of in the meal. I am sure most people do not notice(or figure why bother arguing) with such small differences. Well after months of this I finally decided to say something and was met with the extreme defensiveness typical of a guilty party. Instead of admitting his mistake he argued and got very angry. Now I am not the type to back down from much so I asked for a refund of the difference of $ 0.60(it’s the principal). He continued to argue so I told him I would be writing a Unilocal review at which he literally opened the register and tried to give me $ 5, I refused and collected my $ 0.60. Was that a bribe? Well guess what… when you went as far as to say that«we do not need customers like you»…wish granted.

I’ve been coming to this Subway a few times a month for while(2 yrs?). I work close by and so it is convenient. The women who work here are great! No complaints on the food or service. However; at busy lunch times that owner emerges from the back to work the cash register. He perennially over-chargers… «forgets» to apply discount, charges separately for chips and a drink, rings up the wrong more expensive version of the sandwich. When one of the regular employees is on the register everything makes sense, but whenever the owner is out on the floor I am scratching my head staring at the receipt wondering why it is way more expensive than I expected. After many many occurrences of getting over charged(both myself and co-workers), it sure feels like it is happening on purpose. When confronted, the owner was hostile and not very pleasant. I am sad to say that I will no longer be coming here as a result. The regular employees are so nice, it is a shame they have this sketchy manager /owner.

Poor customer service from a short Hispanic woman didn’t get her name didn’t give a welcoming attitude or a «welcome to Subway» at all she was snappish and almost demanding to hurry up even though it was I who had to wait for her to come out then she insisted I pay a premium price for a six dollar sandwich which two days before I had paid six dollars she wanted to charge nine dollars and change with tax Will not be coming back to this particular subway

Soooooooo so slow. Everytime, it’s like they are arranging the sandwich for a cover shoot. I appreciate trying to make it neat but HUSTLE please, people have places to be! I only move that slow if I am waaaaaay stoned. Just make my sandwich and don’t stare at each piece of ingredient for half a minute before moving it onto the bread. And stop putting my sandwich in the oven without asking. This isn’t Quiznos, and if I want it toasted I’ll say so. Don’t just automatically stick everything in the oven. Dude. Every time, same thing. I only go because it’s the only place I can get to and back to work in my short lunch break. But I know I am going to witness ridiculousness every time.

Just like the fact that this was 24 hours(is it?). We were in town for the night and grateful that this place was still open. But there’s also some homeless people who sleep inside here. Just be warned. They don’t bother or anything. There is also«patio» seating, which is a great place to medicate and people watch(or at 3am, to watch the drunks stumble all around the place).

Not sure what to think. The people were awesome very nice. For a Subway it was actually pretty full. I think the only thing was I was not sure where to park. After I drove around for 15min, I just turned into the parking garage connected the Subway. Don’t worry it’s free as long as you get your little ticket stamped. Not the best Subway but definitely not the worst.

I have to say this is a really good Subway. Service is always really friendly and it’s as if they enjoy working there. I’ve probably eat here about once a month and every time they make a good sub.

Your normal subway. Friendly service and clean location. Use the underground parking and have it validated. Got food to bring into the San Diego zoo.

Again, I come here because it’s convenient. Staff is super friendly. I’m not sure if they are nice because they have good customer service or because I’m in there so often.

I don’t know what the deal is but the last two times I’ve eaten here I’ve gotten really sick. From what I can tell it may be the flatbread. It’s actually not cooked all the way so can be some raw dough in parts. Meh, I’ll stick to other subways. The people are very very nice, but not nice enough to prevent me tummy from acting up!

Subway is great when running to the airport and needing a bite to eat but beware of this one. Not only I but others have gotten food poisoning from what we can gather is the tomatoes after several attempts. More often then not the food is fine and the employees are extremely nice but there is often homeless people sitting inside and eating and I know of now 4 people who legitimately got sick after eating here. Just make your decision to eat here wisely.

I eat at Subway far too often. Does that make me super lame? And I review the Subways I visit. Does that make me even lamer? I can sense all the Unilocal yuppies, thinkin’, «Ewwww, this bitch reviews chains! What a LOSER!» Whatever, I don’t care — this is my new favorite Subway! Let me tell you why! Before coming here, I was(borderline) weeping in bed with my fellow hungry companion. We were both lacking seratonin & direction, when, *BING* — we decided we’d take a walk through Little Italy to visit our favorite sandwich chain. No surprise there. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Think Taco Express(if you haven’t been — get on it!). In fact, they were so nice, I made the creepy move of remembering my sandwich artist’s name just so that I could advertise how amazing he was on Unilocal.Marlon you should get the Most Valuable Employee award! I swear I’m not a stalker! I’m just very impressed. I actually left a tip and felt great about it. How often does that happen? I’d hire this guy to work for me in a heartbeat. After happily finishing our sandwiches, we got up to leave and he said, «See you in a week?» Not certain, but if I do get another Subway craving in the next several days(very likely), I will be back.

Like some people are Beatles over Elvis or PC over Mac, I am generally Quizno’s over Subway. But, they’re alright and this one just opened around the corner from my place so I went in last night with a friend to pick up some sandwiches for dinner. Right off, I was pleased to see it so clean. The staff was pretty friendly and he took care with the sandwiches(a meatball and a turkey), making sure he put only the best looking veggies and he didn’t skimp. He could have toasted the turkey sammich a bit longer, but overall, it was a positive experience. Throw in the ample 15 minute parking outside and my initial reaction was to give 4 stars. Cut to this morning, when I popped in to grab a 6″ bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich. While they jumped a square forward for offering breakfast, they jumped two squares back after I tasted it. Terrible. No, really, terrible. It smelled like feet. Not even bacon could save it. Again with the floppy bacon! What is the DEAL, people? Bacon should be crispy. This isn’t England.(I love you, England, but your bacon vexes.) The eggs were frozen premade«omelets». He came out of the back with a stack of what looked like frozen crepes, threw one in the toaster oven and it came out looking like a potholder. He slapped it on the bread, crammed in the floppy bacon in a big floppy pile and when I said«Cheddar», it was like he came to a standstill as gingerly *sprinkled* the shredded cheddar over the top sparingly. Like if he used any more it might require a government bailout. Sadly, after I bit into it, I spit it out and tossed the rest(at home, of course). Subway, breakfast is not your forte. So, the moral of the story is, stick to the turkey and this is a fine Subway.

This is the new Subway in that strange little shopping center off of Laurel and Kettner. There’s a lot of parking in the garage, and Subway validates it so it’s free. The place is spotless since it just opened up, and, other than that, it’s like any other Subway. The staff is sort of friendly, the food is sort of cheap, so it gets a sort of good review. This place was pretty busy around 6 p.m., it looked like a lot of people were either catching planes or just getting off work, so I’d imagine it gets a pretty good lunch rush too. This place is probably a better alternative for a lunch sandwich than The Marketplace because that place is nuts at lunchtime.
