History
Established in 1986.
The Boxing Zone was established by 7th Degree Grand Master Victor M. Beltran Jr. (a native San Diegen), in 1986 at The Boarder View YMCA on Beyer Way. At this time GM Beltran was under the direction of Grand Master James A. Wilson (Southwestern Association of Martial Arts).
GM Beltran has been teaching in Southern San Diego ever since.
The Boxing Zone Gym under the direction of Grand Master Beltran is dedicated for 30 years, to the continual positive development of San Diego’s Youth. Through the instruction of Martial Arts and Boxing Discipline.

The Boxing Zone was founded by SWAMA Inc. (Southwestern Association of Martial Arts) in 1986. The purpose of The Boxing Zone is to provide a safe heaven for the youth of our community. That through the teaching of discipline in martial arts and boxing, we can help create a better community.
