The bakery was hard to find. It’s located in this plaza area with a parking lot that can be crowded at times. Don’t let this deter you from those delicious cookies as it is totally worth driving far!
I came here on a Friday night with one other friend. Let me start off with how super cute and quaint this place is! It’s super minimalist and focused on baking quality cookies. I sampled the taro and immediately thought «yep, imma need a dozen of your cookies» I couldn’t decide on what flavors to get so I got one of each.
The cookies are stored in a drawer which is awesome because I know it’s going to be dust and bug free compared to other places where they keep it in an open glass display where their baked goods are vulnerable to unsanitary elements.
The cookies are soft, chewy, and perfectly sized. I think this by far the best place to get gourmet cookies in San Diego and it’s a definite game changer with all the typcial cupcake or ice cream sandwich trends happening.

Yassssss! I know this is a late ass review but I’m still stoked that there is finally a Cravory brick and mortar! Long gone are the days I would have to drink a fifth of vodka at noon just so I could knock out and wake up the next day at the crack of dawn and be the first person at the farmers market… for two cookies. I’m such a loser. So now, I can drink my fifth of vodka in the evening like normal people and wake up whenever and get to Point Loma for my cookie fix. And just like their namesake, the craves are real. From their specialty cookies to their tried and true standards they can make you do strange things for just one bite. IMO the birthday cake, red velvet and pancake and bacon are the best but hey I’m a loser and you don’t want to listen to a loser.

Let me start by stating that I’m one of those people that prefer a basic peanut butter cookie or a plain shortbread cookie. In other words, I am really boring. I’m just not into cookies with all that bling and jazz. That being said, I still think that The Cravory has some of the best cookies in the 619. You can’t just buy one, especially since you get a free cookie by checking in to Unilocal.What’s not to love about The Cravory? The cookies are about 2 ¼ in diameter, soft, chewy, and always fresh. According to the employees, customers rave about their Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake, Salted Caramel Cream, and the Lemon Bar. For me, it’s the PB Overload, of course. If you’re a Cookie Monster or just love sweets in general, then give The Cravory a shot. But I must warn you that they’re highly addictive.

2016 Unilocal Review #23

What got me was «cravory» who doesn’t «crave» cookies?! However I did not crave these at all after one bite of the red velvet and lemon cookie.
The cookies tasted too dense and not freshly baked. The frost was over powering and didn’t compliment the cookie at all. I was quite disappointed, maybe I just ordered the wrong cookie?

+ CALIFORNIA CROISSANT: This is my favorite savory croissant. The croissants here are literally perfect. It’s airy, but so crunchy on the outside, and doesn’t leave croissant flakes everywhere. It keeps its shape as you eat it, with large flakes that come off so that you can continue to eat it. Some think this is too salty with the salmon and nori, but I thought it was just right. There is only a little right in the middle of the croissant, but it is enough flavor to sustain the entire pastry. They also give you a soy sauce packet but you don’t need it!
+ STRAWBERRY DONUT: The flavors of the donuts change daily, posted on their Instagram and Facebook along with the cronut flavors. The donut is like a cloud pillow in your mouth. It’s so soft! Then, it comes with so much filling, but it’s not overly sweet! I don’t like jelly-​filled donuts, but this was more like a subtly sweet, strawberry cream filled donut.
~ BREAD PUDDING: This is dense. I lifted it and it had to be a good 2 lbs. by itself. This is really moist and filled with too many raisin for my own taste.
~ CHOCOLATE COOKIE: This cookie is huge! It is loaded with chocolate on top and inside the cookie. Although we had this cold, I wouldn’t say the cookie is something to come back for.

Let me start by telling you that ICE CREAM is really my number one dessert of choice, but I was in the area and remembered my last few visits here. Those visions conjured a craving in me that I couldn’t explain. My theory is that The Cravory is involved in some sort of Cookie witchcraft. What else can explain my sudden change in taste buds?!
As far as cookies go, I am all about ‘crunchy’, rather than soft and chewy, which is why I was surprised that I would even like any of The Cravory’s cookies. To top it off, The Cravory had made one of my least favorite flavors into one of my most favorite cookies! I don’t even like Lemon. So, how did they manage to make their Lemon Bar Cookies one of my favorite? It’s Cookie witchcraft, I’m telling you.

They also create a batch of 6 new flavors each month. For this January, they offered Almond Butter, Chocolate Muffin, Neopolitan, Nutella Toblerone, Oatmeal Apple Pie, and Yogurt & Honey. My favorite out of the January flavors? Yogurt & Honey.
During my first visit here last August, I was told that the Cravory chef had been inspired by some Filipino desserts, which resulted in some great-​tasting Taro, Purple Yam Jam (Ube), and Guava Cheesecake cookies. I, especially, liked the Guava Cheesecake.
I appreciate that The Cravory is willing to take a risk and broaden their selection by adding so many unique flavors. The staff here is so friendly and they are always eager to dole out whatever samples you request.
By the way, I think The Cravory must have put a Cookie spell on Ashley too, the sweet gal that helped me. She too claims that the Lemon Bar is her favorite, which is the very reason she started working here. I love her enthusiasm! :)

The Cravory is hands down the best cookie place in San Diego, possibly my favorite cookie place ever! When I came here, I almost could’ve missed it because this little shop looked more like a boutique than an actual cookie shop. On a Saturday evening, there was no crowds, and was pleasantly surprised at the variety of flavors they carried and which they also change every so often, which is a great excuse for a return trip to try out their new combinations. Not only are these cookies freshly made but they are the perfect balance of salty and sweet.
My favorite flavor I tried here was the taro cookie that had a subtle nutty, vanilla taste with a hint of floral but not too overpowering, with the white chocolate chunks giving it a nice smooth sugary kick. All the other flavors was equally delicious, even the peanut butter overload was just perfect and didn’t feel like it was overwhelming in richness or too sweet. They are also ideal in size, and although they looked thick at first glance, they didn’t feel too doughy and definitely had a freshly delicate consistency, which to me made Cravory «out-​of-​this-​worldly» good earning a permanent spot in my favorites list.

My sister has fomo (fear of missing out) when it comes to food so we ended up ordering a dozen cookies. I’d have to say all of the cookies here were really good, being slightly crispy, chewy and not too sweet making it the ultimate cookie. My favorite cookie would have to be the cookies and cream milkshake! My sister loved the birthday cake which got me by surprise because it looks like a mexican cookie with sprinkles on top but it was a good cookie for being a plain sugar cookie with sprinkles on top. I think she’s obsessed with this because we recently had the celebration cake from Susie cakes that had a similar funfetti mixed into the cake. That’s a must try if you’ve never had it too!
All in all I’d have to say all the cookies are really good and with the flavors changing on a daily basis there’s probably something for everyone here.

Birthday Cake Cookie:
When I first walked in, you caught my eye.
Your colorful, dotty and crunchy sprinkles outshined all the others on that display.
I picked you first to try.
The first bite-​wow. How can something be so moist and perfectly sweet with the right texture of crunch (sprinkles) and chewy (cookie)? I should have just ordered a dozen of you right then and there.
But she recommended for me to try the Balsamic Rosemary one and like a fool I tried.
None can compare to you, oh birthday cake cookie.
I will always love you.

Went there only once when it first opened but let’s just say I basically ate cookies until I didn’t feel good… and it was so freaking worth it!
Even though I never did get to make it out there again because I wasn’t often in the Point Loma area, I did buy some of their cookies here and there when they had their booth out at the Little Italy Farmers’ Market.

Cookie addict. I always feel the need to pick up some kind of goodies whenever I’m in a place that i rarely visit. I haven’t been to san diego in about a year. So, since my friend was visiting; i felt as if it was necessary to stop by! Plus, she’s also a cookie addict. Worked out perfectly. Check in on Unilocal and get that free cookie! We got a dozen cookies for $ 20, which was quite reasonable and we split half a dozen each. I’m not complaining because I’ve paid more for cookies before. I got the sea salt caramel, cookies n cream, chocolate truffle, red velvet, peanutbutter chocolate, oatmeal apple pie! Also we got the lemon bar cookie for the free check in! I have only tasted a few, but the consistency of the cookie was perfect! the inside was chewy and gooey. That’s exactly what I have expected it to be. I would definitely stop by whenever I make my way down to san diego!

I tried 6 different types of cookies. They were all terrible. I don’t know why a place dedicated to making cookies could make cookies this bad. The cookies were very-​very undercooked, and way too sweet, yes cookies are supposed to be sweet, not gag sweet. I had to spit them out. I read a few other reviews that shared my concern.
I don’t like writing this review about a small business. Hopefully this place could get it together. I’ll stop by again to try a cookie… maybe it was an off day.

I freakin’ love this place. Genius flavors and great fluffy and chewy cookies! Last time, I visited around 6pm, and they still had a good selection of cookies available! And also the girl that was helping me was actually the sweetest person I’ve ever encountered!
Definitely try the Taro cookies, along with the holiday ones like the Rosemary Balsamic. BOMB!

We’ve tried the cookies and cream, salted caramel, halo halo, apple walnut, blueberry, birthday cake, lemon bar, and rosemary balsamic (not in one sitting, though!). My favorites are the apple walnut, blueberry, and birthday cake. If you sign up for the frequent visitor card, you can eat your way to a free cookie.
I have also ordered a gift to be sent to my parents. They really enjoyed the cookies. I would definitely sent these cookies as gifts for others.

So SiSTAR, aka Andrea K, hand delivered a dozen cookies from the Cravory and I was the happiest person on the planet. Please have mocha rum crunch on your forever menu (aka the signature menu)! Mocha rum crunch was a seasonal flavor and out of the dozen cookies SiSTAR ordered, it was my absolute favorite! I’d take a dozen mocha rum crunch cookies and probably devour them in a day (or two, but who am I kidding, probably just a day). And though SiSTAR’s review says that she’s pretty sure she ate most of it, I don’t think so! It was so hard to stop myself from plowing through all the cookies, other favorites included such flavors as cookies ‘n’ cream milkshake, salted caramel cream, and the ultimate chocolate chip. Oh man, I am drooling so much just at the thought of these cookies!
They have monthly flavors which is a blessing and a curse, such as with the cookie love of my life: mocha rum crunch. Though I live in Northern CA, I will be sure to stop by the Cravory any time I am in the SD area.

I don’t understand how such a simple idea as cookies can be so incredibly amazing. I bought a mixed dozen and got 2 free cookies (1 for a Unilocal check-​in and 1 was just broken so they threw it in for free). I bought these for my sister Angel K for Thanksgiving, but I’m pretty sure I ended up eating most of it… I think The Cravory as replaced Sprinkles to fulfill my sweet tooth.
I know, I know, a cookie for almost $ 2 a pop? Well, it’s worth it. These cookies are soft, chewy, and so flavorful. They’re cookies like you’ve never experienced. The names of the cookies do these circular dreams justice. Mocha rum crunch? Mocha rum crunch is exactly what you get! It has a nice coffee punch and a light rum undertone with some sort of amazing crunchy crumble on top. Although it’s a monthly flavor, I really wish it was one of their normal ones because it’s so tasty. A close second is the salted caramel cream and the cookies’n’cream milkshake.
Some cookies are sweeter than others, but don’t you worry– they let you try as many flavors as you want, so you don’t have pick your cookies blindly. Also, make sure you try to go as early as possible so they don’t run out of cookies! When I went at 7p, they ran out of the Mexican Hot Chocolate =\
The only downside about The Cravory is it’s price… but you are paying for unique, fresh, tasty flavors that make it worth it. It’s probably not a everyday type of place I’d go to, but these cookies would make great gifts and are also great pick-​me-​ups.

For a guy who is supposed go be on a «diet,» it is kind of weird that my two latest reviews are on In-​N-​Out Burger and a cookie shop. Ever heard of cheat days? C’mon, give a guy a break!
Seriously though, The Cravory absolutely rules. I’ve had their cookies at events and received them as gifts, but this was my first time stepping foot into their Point Loma location. It’s small, quaint, modern, sleek, clean and reeks of freshly baked cookies. Some may call this heaven, but diet Brad calls this hell… in the best possible way. I want all of the cookies, all of the time.
The red velvet is my absolute weakness and I could easily polish off an entire box of these cookies. Soft and true to the classic red velvet flavors that I know and love, this may be the perfect cookie for me. I know some like the classic chocolate chip, but my sweet tooth craves creative creations and The Cravory delivers.
So, looking for that raise at work? How about a little acceptance from that feisty mother in law? Been sleeping on the couch lately? The answer is simple, friends. An $ 11.00 half dozen box of Cravory cookies is sure to get you back in bed, loved by the in-​laws and may even put a few extra bucks in your pocket.

I was introduced to Cravory Cookies by my sister, who gifted a Cravory Cookie of the Month subscription to our mother for her birthday. New delicious cookies delivered to the door every month? YES PLEASE. Cheers to whoever came up with that idea.
Luckily for me, I found out I didn’t have to wait monthly for a cookie fix since Cravory has a storefront right in Point Loma! Parking is plentiful since it’s located next to a Grocery Outlet.
Upon entry we were greeted by the cheerful employee, who was every generous in offering samples and answering all our questions. The storefront is adorable, with refinished old furniture that complements the streamlined white drawers where the cookies are stored and pulled out from.
Cookie flavors vary by month, but there is a nice selection of signature flavors that are offered year-​round. I recommend the Taro, Rosemary Balsamic, Cookies n’ Cream Milkshake, and the Ultimate Chocolate Chip.
Soft and flavorful — you can’t go wrong with any Cravory cookie choice.

While indulging in samples of more cookies than I intended to procure, a disheveled woman burst through the front door and cut me in line. While friendly, she was definitely a good 35 cards short of a full deck. She wanted to confirm that this was, in fact, «the place that sells those cookies that are really good.» The counter girl said it was. She went on to say «I had them that one time and man they were good.» The counter girl smiled politely. She moved on to «Well, you know, sometimes I — OK bye!» As quickly as she had burst into our lives, she ran right back out of it, mid-​sentence no less.
I miss the crazy, disheveled cookie woman. I find myself thinking about her late at night sometimes. I wonder if she ever went back and bought cookies. I wonder what the rest of her sentence was going to be. I wonder if she thinks about me.
And thats what happens at The Cravory. They get you hooked with free samples, then you spend your life savings and deplete the kids’ college funds’ to pay for your Bacon Pancake cookie addiction. Then, you’re broke, living on the streets of Point Loma and you bum rush the store looking for a free handout but your brain is fried from months of sugar overindulgence and you cant remember that you wanted cookies until you’re already gone.

THESE COOKIES ARE INSANE.

My friend ordered a bunch of these for her wedding– I only tried the Taro one and the Salted Vanilla Caramel or something. The Taro one is amazing. I want to try other flavors!
