Very LONG wait(over 5 hours, yes, 5 hours) but doctor is very through. Dr. Edwards receptionist is very kind and apologetic about the wait.

I have an abnormal eye condition and I was sent to 4 different people(optometrist – ophthalmologist – neurologist – neuro-opthamologist) in that order and Dr. Russel Edwards was my neuro-op, the last one I saw and he was great. He pretty much solved the puzzle of what my abnormality was! =) He is extremely efficient which I absolutely appreciate. He usually tries to send me all the tests results and images I take on my visit with no extra charge, which I’ve grown to appreciate because one of the previous practice I’ve been to, made me pay extra for my records and come in for a mandatory check-out exam if I wanted a copy of my results(what a hassle!) Dr. Edwards is very attentive and very thorough. After my initial visit, I got a bunch of tests done in one visit and he told me to come back every year for a visual field and to check up on my eyes. Other places have told me I have to schedule a visual field separately and if I wanted to see the doctor, I would have to make ANOTHER appointment separately to go over the results, but not this practice! I was able to get my visual field, and like 6 other tests done on the same day. I was there for a total of 3 hours for all those tests and during that time Dr. Edwards spent a lot of time going over the test results and even gave me a glass and contact exam on top of everything since I was long due for one and it saved me the hassle and money of having to get that done elsewhere later on. Also his receptionist Melanie is super, super sweet and made me feel very welcome. =) I was very happy with the care and service. Thank you Dr. Edwards!

I haven’t been there, but this is how my phone call went when I tried to make an appointment: «Do you wear contacts now?» «Yes, disposable ones.» «what’s your prescription, brand name, and type of your contacts?» «I don’t have it with me, but it’s Bausch and Lomb toric» «well, our doctor here doesn’t do new contacts» «So he doesn’t do exams and take new patients?» «No, he will do an exam and update your prescription, but if you haven’t come here before then he doesn’t guarantee that you won’t have problems with yoru contacts.» What makes me want to come to you? Maybe they should teach the receptionist the wonderful world of business.
