Some guy hit me in the left rear bumper. Luckily, he had insurance, and they covered all damage costs and a rental car costs. Taking my car in for the fix was really smooth and easy. It didn’t take long either. They called Enterprise and told them to pick me up from the body shop and it wasn’t even 10 minutes until my ride showed up. Picking up my car was even faster.
The reason why I’m giving 2 stars is because once I drove my car back home, I opened the trunk and saw some things that didn’t belong to me. Actually, a lot of things. There were even some smaller items in my door compartment. Did they use my car to run errands? I felt slightly uncomfortable to have found someone else’s stuff in MY car. As a business, they should be professional and not have this kind of stuff happen.

I had a great experience with World Auto Body. After a collision, my car was brought here, and they kept me posted on every step of the repair process. They took many photos of the damaged parts to my car, they sent me a quote for every part that needed repairing, and they gave me a timeline of approximately 2 weeks. The repairs were completed in a week and a half, which is great considering the damages. I’m glad the insurance referred me to this shop, and I’m very satisfied with the results of their work.

Wish I had read the reviews sooner. I took my car here for repairs through my insurance and after I got it back, there was a new electrical issue. They completely denied any responsibility and I am now onto week 2 of this ordeal, having to go to yet another mechanic to show that World Auto Body is at fault. They also tried to make me pay my deductible when I went to pick up my car even though it had been waived over two weeks beforehand. Luckily I had an email and was able to take my car. Little did I know that was only the beginning of my problems with this terrible place. I wish I had never taken my car here and I would not recommend this shop to anyone, ever.

Got my vehicle repaired here recently and I was assured that when they’re done no one will be able to tell. Well for anyone thinking about getting work done here if you have a really nice vehicle and pay a lot of attention to detail this is not the place. Upon inspection after washing and my vehicle, there were parts that were taped together, seals were broken, external panels were misaligned, clips and other miscellaneous parts were in the glove box and cup holder, interior trim pieces were broken, loose door handles, paint globs in the paint work, paint overspray and more. Seeing as they got relatively good reviews on here I figured they should be good, I will never bring a vehicle back there again.

The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Had a piece of furniture fall off a truck on the freeway that luckily only left cosmetic damage. They fixed it up, but missed a piece, that I also didn’t notice till about a week or so later. Called em up and they fixed it up no problem. They were a recommended shop by Mercury and I’m definitely satisfied with their service.

This is the place to go if you need an auto body shop. Alex and Steve are great and the shop is clean and professional! They care about their customers and make sure that everything is taken care of with zero hassle. While I did not need it, when I dropped off my car I was offered a ride back to work which I thought was a nice touch. If you need to provide info to your insurance or the other party’s Alex or Steve will take care of it for you! That being said, of course my car was ready on time and the work was done well. In addition to the work performed as a result of my parked car being hit, I asked Alex if he could reattach my license plate which decided to randomly fall off. He said no problem it would be taken care of at no cost. When I arrived to pickup my car Alex had re-​welded the parts associated with securing the license plate to my car.

Believe it or not the upside of having my car stolen & stripped has been the complete overhaul done by World Auto-​body. This is the best shop ever. In all my 43 years and having been through a heavy handful of cars and repairs both mechanical and otherwise — I have never even come close to a shop who’s overall motto is «customer is first», so professional, clean, efficient and they kept in touch with me throughout the entire process — The completed car was excellent. When I tell you my 03 Audi looks brand new ~ I am not kidding Thank you World Auto body!

There is something about the rump of my car that people like. They must see it and get mesmerized by its roundness and uplift because I’ve been hit in the back about 10 times in the last 4 years and no, I didn’t enjoy it one bit! Every single time it happens it’s the same excuse, «Sorry, I didn’t see you.» Ummm, what? Well sorry, but I see that huge dent in my bumper so now it’s time to pay up fool. Idiots!
I hate auto body shops or anything that has to do with car service because as soon as the guys see a woman they think you don’t know squat about cars. I can’t rebuild a carburetor or anything but I do try to educate myself. The service manager was nothing but extremely helpful, kind, and hospitable. He was so service oriented and made sure I was informed to what was going to happen to my car. He took care of the rental and everything. If I ever need service for my car again I will be sure to go there again.

Went here for an insurance claim, my car had front and rear damage. World Auto Body completed the job a day ahead schedule. My car looks better than new now! Thanks World Auto Body!

2 weeks ago I noticed a rivet had falled out on the door that they had fixed. I called World Auto on the off chance that they would be willing to fix it, and sure enough — they did. No questions asked. Steve and Alex were awesome. They stand by their work and were nice enough to replace the rivet — 3 YEARS AFTER THE ORIGINAL WORK WAS DONE.

I brought my Audi to World Auto Body with significant body damage, worried that it might take a while to fix, and sure enough they had my car looking beautiful again in less than a week. They are extremely professional and helped me through the insurance claims process when I ran into problems. I will definitely be using them again!

There is nothing I can add that already hasn’t been said from other Unilocalers. Steve and Robert are nothing short of professional. Their customer service is top notch. They went above and beyond in getting my car back to it’s original condition. They have earned my business for all of my future auto body repair needs.

I have been a customer of World Auto Body for 18 years now. Their Encinitas shop was recommended to me by Allstate insurance after I had a small mishap in my first car. Since that day in 1992, I have brought quite a few of my cars here to have auto body repair as well as custom paintwork done. I referred my father to this shop after a few mishaps in a few of his cars. Each time the shop worked on one of our cars, we had it back on time and when promised. Not just that, but each time, they made our cars look brand new.
Many years went by without an accident or mishap but a week ago, I found myself in need of some help. I decided to be a «mechanic» and remove an aftermarket piece that was attached to the rear of my custom lowered 2005 Ford Mustang Shelby GT with double sided tape. I was able to remove some of the tape but decided to lightly «pull» the panel to speed up the removal process. Big mistake! I pulled a semi thick 8 inch strip of paint off of the trunk of my car down to the bare metal! Oops! Time to call World Auto Body. This time, I decided to take my car to their Miramar shop since it is closer to my office than the Encinitas location. While there, I was greeted by Steve and even ended up running into the same person who helped me out in Encinitas 18 years earlier (Jules)! His nephew Mike owns the shop and I remember him too from the Encinitas location. Jules not only remembered me but remembered my father as well. After reminiscing for a little bit, I left my car in their care and got it back today (three days later) looking like new. In that time, they even repaired and repainted my front bumper (which was custom and scratched pretty bad after a run in with a curb). These guys are definitely the best and I would definitely recommend them to others and will definitely use them again if the need arises.

Robert the owner was FANTASTIC, He helped me with my Insurance company, got me a rental car, and did a Fantastic job on my cls63 Mercedes.

Dealing with an insurance claim can be quite difficult. Working with World Auto Body on an insurance claim was a wonderful experience. They did everything possible to make this easy and everything they did was well done.

I am always leery of places that provide automotive services in any capacity and for good reason. I must say that World Auto Body went above and beyond the call of duty in all facets. They did a remarkable job fixing the dent that a pole put in the front of my Xterra’s bumper and front left side. The paint job was matched perfectly — good as new. The staff is professional, courteous and had everything completed in a reasonable amount of time. My repair was not covered by insurance and their rates are reasonable for such quality workmanship. They had cleaned the vehicle both inside and out before I picked it up. Definitely recommended and would do business with them again.

I have mixed thoughts about this autobody shop. Their customer service here is remarkably friendly, and they go out of their way to make you happy (eg. interior detailing and tire shine).
One thing I did not like about my experience here is that they do not take good care of securing your vehicle once you leave the keys with them. I returned to my truck twice and each time my keys were left on the exterior of the truck out in the open and unattended.
Another thing worth mentioning is that my truck was stolen the night my truck returned home from servicing. I dare not say these issues are related, because there is no solid evidence of it. All I have to say is do be mindful of your automobile’s security when you bring it here.

I brought my car here two weeks ago after someone backed into it, crushing my bumper (his insurance paid for it). I went on a recommendation from a coworker. Everyone was very friendly and I felt like Alex (the manager, I believe) had my best interests in mind. I picked my car up yesterday and it looks brand new… they washed it (it needed it) and vacuumed the interior (it really needed it). No complaints here!

Okay so if you are a girl and don’t know the difference between mechanics, body shops and upholsterers this is not the place to go, since you will be ripped off for simply not knowing better. This was one of three body shops I visited to figure out where I could get my convertible top fixed fastest. I didn’t care so much that they were literally ripping me off about $ 300, since my deductible was the same, but the issue was that i’d be without a car for a week! After telling me that it was too big of a headache for the amount of money they were making I decided «hmm I’ll try a third body shop». Finally, at United Auto Body they told me to go straight to an upholstery where they were able to complete the job in one day. World Auto Body’s Manager was completely condescending and I would not recommend anyone ever to go to this shop.

Ever have one of those days? You know, the ones where it seems like everything that can go wrong does. The ones where you feel like the whole world is against you. It was a warm Tuesday, which on any other day it would have been quite a lovely day. Alas, no, this Tuesday was not meant to be a good one. There were ongoing problems at work, I was having relationship problems, I had a ton of things to do and no time to do them.
During my lunch break, I drove to Clairemont to the Home Depot to get some stuff and things. There is no parking, I finally find a spot and park. After the incompetent checkout clerks spent 10 minutes trying to ring up a $ 4 bottle of drain cleaner and forced me to be late getting back to lunch, I hopped in my car and proceeded to creep out of the spot because there were two large work trucks on each side of me and I couldn’t see behind me. I finally got to the point where I could see a bit and was more then well into the lane. Then a guy comes racing down the lane, catches my bumper and adds to my already crap day.
The insurance company recommended a place in Kearny Mesa, but I wasn’t impressed with them and went for option two. This is the point where I go to World Auto Body in Miramar. I was pleased with their assessment of the damage and work that needed to be done and thought they’d do a good job.
In less than a week, I had a new bumper, new back quarter panel and a few other new parts. These guys did a great job and you can’t even tell I was in an accident. Hopefully I will never have one of those days again or have to take my car in for work again. If I do, I will definitely bring it here again.
