At his practice, Dr. Martin Chee is a leading provider of dental health care services and treatments. For patients in and around San Francisco and the surrounding areas, Dr. Chee offers advanced care options including dental implants, root canals, and numerous cosmetic dental procedures such as whitening, orthodontics, and porcelain crowns and fillings. Dr. Chee is also one of the only dental practitioners who is trained to perform pinhole gum treatment procedures.

Dr. Chee received his Bachelor’s degree at the University of California– Berkley and obtained his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific’s School of Dentistry. He is a native of San Francisco and has been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry for over 25 years. Dr. Chee is also an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the California Dental Association, and the San Francisco Dental Society.

At his Downtown San Francisco practice, Dr. Chee strives uphold the highest standards of dental care and is devoted to not only improving the aesthetic appeal of patients smiles but their confidence as well. He is also dedicated to continuing his dental education and attended many post graduate courses which focus on the latest technological advanced in both general and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Martin Chee is a native San Franciscan, graduate of UC Berkeley and Univ. of the Pacific Dental School. His special interests is in Cosmetic Dentistry and Implant Dentistry. He is a member of the ADA, CDA, SF Dental Society and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is currently involved in ongoing implant study groups to keep updatedin the latest advances.

I’m so happy someone referred me to Dr. Chee a year ago. He is OLD SCHOOL. He is super thorough and takes his time. He also does all of the cleanings himself so he gets to know his patient and their patterns. He reminds me of a dentist I had growing up in new york. He has a wonderful bedside manner and thoroughly explains what he is doing each step of the way. In a sea of sub-​par dentists out here (I had a horrendous one when I first moved out here), I am super grateful to have found Dr. Chee. His staff is super sweet and accommodating too. HIGHLY recommend if you’re in the market.

Dr Chee has been my dentist ever since I moved to San Francisco more than 20 years ago and I have complete faith in him. He is gentle, highly skilled, very honest, and his prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that sometimes he can be a little too friendly. He can talk your ear off while he is working on your mouth and, of course, you cannot respond. But I would rather have a too-​friendly dentist than one who is cold and uncaring. I highly recommend Dr. Chee.

So Dr. Chee was my dentist during the time that I lived in San Francisco 2005 – 2007. I haven’t been to see him in 6 years, but he was THAT amazing that i had to write this review. I have not been able to find another dentist that comes even close to Dr. Chee. However, i have had dentists remark on the work that Dr. Chee did and how flawless it is. I agree with the previous reviewer: he is an artist indeed.

My family and I were on vacation in San Francisco when I developed a terrible toothache. Fortunately, the concierge at our hotel gave me Dr Chee’s information and his office was able to see almost immediately. I must say, it was a wonderful experience. I never imagined that I would be writing a review about getting a root canal, but Dr Chee was very calming and reassuring in his demeanor. His administering of the novocain was second to none… I hardly felt a thing! I was pain free within a day and was able to enjoy the remainder of my stay.
Although I wouldn’t recommend getting a toothache on vacation, I highly recommend the professional service of Dr Chee. He was tremendous!

Dr. Chee is so amazing, I highly recommend him!
I was having a really bad tooth pain and was recommended to him by 1800dentist. I was definitely hesitant but I have no insurance and knew i needed to just go and get it over with. Before I went I read his Unilocal reviews and felt a lot better about going. When I went for my exam, everyone in the office was just so nice!!! It was very affordable and he was so gentle. He made me feel so comfortable and even gave me a hug at the end because I had been so frantic before he started!
I will never go to anyone else as long as he is around. Dr. Chee is honestly the best dentist ever!

I saw Dr Chee about 2 years ago, cant believe I took so long to write a review! He was AMAZING! Made me feel comfortable and at ease. I swear I did NOT feel a single thing when he gave me shots in my gums. If its at all possible to get a perfect injection, this was it! And was not a one off lucky thing, this happened on all my visits.
You know how Doctors say. ‘you’ll feel a pinch’ and it hurts like hell, well Dr Chee said I’d feel some pressure. I didnt feel a thing and before i knew it it was over! I cant stop talking about this.
I went to see him with intense pain, I was pain free by the time I got home. And to top it all off, he called me at home to see how I was doing.
Theres a great family, yet professional vibe here. His mom was the receptionist at the time of my visits. What a sweet nice lady! She was friendly, chatty and genuinely concerned. Made me feel like I had my fav aunt in the waiting room with me.
Dr Chee was thorough and patient. Took his time explaining everything to me. Made me feel totally comfortable and not embarrassed about my dental problems.
This was hands down the best dentist experience ever! Did I mention he could win olympic medal for shots!

Dr. Chee’s office got me in on short notice and his staff was able to provide an estimate on the phone (you’d be surprised how many dentists don’t do this). He didn’t try to up sell and stayed true to the estimate. Not only am I very happy with the work he did and the cost of the repair, but he was also very gentle. I highly recommend Dr. Chee.

The very best!
My wife and I have been treated by Dr. Chee for over 2 years now and we are so thankful that I found a good dentist. His work is flawless, gentle, and professional. I would have to say he is an artist.
Dr. Chee’s office is conveniently located near the Stockton garage where parking is safe and inexpensive. There is also some street parking in the area.
I have had some extensive work done by the good Dr. and the quality of the work that Dr. Chee has shown me is outstanding. My teeth have never looked better (well, maybe when I was 4… LOL)… but seriously, Dr. Chee rocks.

Dr. Chee is the bomb. And it’s not just because of the helpful reminders. Thanks to a sugar addiction, non-​flourinated water growing up and all-​over crappy teeth genes, I have had a LOT of work done on my teeth. They’re worth a down payment on a house. Seriously. I’m getting a crown done soon. On a tooth that needed a root canal. Twice.
Dr. Chee is very skilled, he’s very thorough, and he is super patient — he will explain everything you want to know about what he’s doing (or will do) to your teeth. He won’t screw you over, like some dentists try to do. He presents you options and then will recommend whatever is best. He’ll warn you when something will hurt, and he won’t roll his eyes or get pissed off if you flinch.
His receptionist, Jane, is also super nice. They really try to make everything reasonable and do-​able in terms of payment — they’ll refer you to all sorts of plans — no-​interest loans and the such — if your treatment is super expensive.
Out of all the dentists that I’ve had (nearing double digit numbers now), he’s the best! 5 stars!

Dr. Chee’s really mellow and nice… his office is really good about sending reminder cards and new year’s cards to patients. I once got a $ 20 macy’s gift card from referring a coworker to him, which is always a very nice gesture!
