Farber Art Services specializes in expert Art Delivery, Design and Art Installation in homes and businesses primarily around the Bay Area. We design Salon Walls and Family Photo Collages everyone will love. We can hang art of any size or weight in any location, including above fireplaces, in stairwells and on second story walls. We also install mirrors & TVs, hang curtains and install lighting fixtures.

History

Established in 2007.

Berley Farber stepped up to the wall with an attitude for excellence and an eye for design. This one man show quickly grew and Berley began working with some of San Francisco’s top interior designers. In 2013, Farber Art Services expanded with the hiring of Bill Schott, a very talented Designer/​Installer and LeahRose took the reigns as Operations Manager. Together, Farber Art Services is proud to design and hang for some of our areas most influential families, galleries and designers. Thank you for supporting locally grown business!

Berley Farber’s eye for shape and pattern combination is both modern and classical. From his unique perspective, he hones in on: line, perspective and relationship of object and space, to ensure balance and harmony exist in both his installations and his creative projects. Patrons of the arts count on Farber Art Services to bring high quality art for their stately mansions. Homeowners rely on his eye for design and his unique aesthetic. His new endeavors work in collaboration with artist and visionaries, to create space for more art to proliferate people lives.

Berley is the best! We moved to a new house and needed help hanging all of our art and family pictures. Berley is ultra professional, he brought all the hanging supplies, tools, ladders, drop cloths, etc. Berley has a great eye for what goes where. He helped us decide where to hang things and what pieces to hang near each other. He upgraded what we were using to hang some of the pieces and everything is now professionally mounted.

Wow!!! What a great job Berley did with my «home gallery.» I had bought a large beautiful framed photo and I knew I was going to need help hanging it. I received the referral from Frama-​O-​Rama on Polk Street because I didn’t want to mess up trying to hang it by myself or with someone who wasn’t an expert.
Not only did he hang/​install this piece beautifully, he helped me with the other pieces I had previously hung by myself. We re-​arranged the pieces I had and WOW what a difference!!!
It was so much fun working with Berley!!! He really transformed the look and feel in my home! I love it!
I would recommend him over and over again.

We just had Berley hang six medium sized framed photographs over our walk-​up stairs and he was great. Normally I hang the photographs in our house, but given the heights involved, I thought it would be better to bring in a professional. We had an initial consultation to plan out the arrangement, and while Berley offered lots of ideas he never pressured us in any particular direction. The installation itself was very fast, and he clearly knew what he was doing. I would not hesitate to work with him again.

I reached out to Berley to hang about seven pieces of art in our loft space office. He was very professional and a super nice guy. He has a good eye and was very patience with my boss who can be a little demanding and persistent. Ultimately the space came together wonderfully. He hung everything quickly and precisely — we were really impressed with him!

Berley has hung a number of pieces in our home and the experience has always been excellent. He has a great eye for location, direction and height. He is meticulous in his work. His equipment is covered to prevent damage and he uses moving blankets to protect the art as well as the floor surfaces. He is not happy until it is right. Barley is awesome, highly recommended.

Berley was awesome. He returned my initial call right away to schedule the first time he had available, and confirmed the appointment with a text. It was a couple of weeks off, but he’s in demand!
When he arrived he brought all his own tools and materials, and was very friendly and professional. He took great care before he hung anything to walk through my apartment and discuss with me where each piece might look best. He ended up hanging two large mirrors, two sets of curtains, a medicine cabinet, and about a dozen pictures/​paintings. He has a great eye, and had excellent suggestions that I never would have thought of. Berley also had great patience and put up with my super pickiness, staying until I was completely satisfied with everything. I still have two large empty spots on my walls, so when/​if I ever get the artwork to fill them, I’ll definitely call Berley again.

I have used Farber a couple of times now to hang huge mirrors and art work, but the job what was done on my family pictures is what is most important. Not only does it look exactly like how i wanted, it was done in a professional and most efficient way. There is no way I could have ever done it myself! Will def use them in the future.

Just had Berley position and hang a bunch of pieces and can not say enough good things about him. From the initial conversation to the final clean up, he was great to deal with. he made suggestions on how to hang all the pieces, much better than I could have figured out.
I appreciate how much effort he takes in hanging each piece just right. The combination of precision and great workmanship means every piece looks exactly right.
Plus, his fees are very reasonable for the quality of the work he does. All in all, I can’t imagine using anyone else.

Farber Art Services was recommended by Under Glass to hang a large, heavy print in a stair well. Berley Farber answered my call promptly and scheduled an appointment within a very reasonable time frame. Bill and Brian arrived promptly the morning of the appointment, they were superbly professional, they had all of the equipment needed to do the job perfectly.
Contacted them again as it turned out my partner and I decided we wanted the print hung a bit higher than we had originally thought. Again, Berley promptly returned my call, and scheduled an appointment within a very reasonable time. Bill arrived exactly on time, was able to adjust the print, and then spent the remaining time in the hour rehanging a heavy mirror and even moving a towel bar in the bathroom. Both Bill and Brian were extremely professional and took great care in my home, removing their shoes upon entering, and were extremely careful about clearing up any mess. I highly recommend Berley Farber of Farber Art Services as well as his professional crew Bill and Brian.

Just used Farber Art services (Bill) to position and hang 2 large mirrors (40×80 inches). Bill was thoughtful, listened and understood my design issues (quirks more likely) and positioned the mirrors perfectly.
We then did a walk through of my place and re-​positioned and/​or moved several art pieces to optimize the viewing of each artwork. Additionally, Bill gave me a few lessons in how to hang and why different levels for different rooms. This service was priceless since it balanced my place and made each art piece pop even more.
While this was more expensive than doing it myself, but still very reasonable, I could not have achieved this level of perfection on my own.

Berley Faber came over to hang a heavy piece of art that needed to be done properly so as not to lose our deposit. He did a fantastic job centering it and hanging it. He also repaired the mounting brackets on the piece so it would be more secure. That only took about 20 minutes so he asked if there was anything else to hang, «you paid for the hour» he said. Berley hung up all of my guitars and ukuleles perfectly. I’ve seen some of the other work he has done for people, it’s all really well done. He showed up prepared, and was very professional, shoes off in the house and all that stuff. Quality handyman. Thanks Faber Art Services.

Well, if your answer was Berley Farber, you’d be correct!!!
We are return transplants to the Bay Area, but new to the East Bay and labored over who to contact to hang 20+ pieces of art that we had accumulated over 32 years. Our previous homes were much larger than our down-​sized retiree condo living we now are enjoying and just the thought of attempting to find a place for our special treasures seemed insurmountable!
Thankfully after much investigation, Berley was our choice and boy did we make the right one! We could not be happier & now after a week post install, we are smiling every time we walk into each room.

We have lived in several major cities, and have never found this level of service — Berley is so much more than an installer. He has wonderful suggestions, a great eye and impeccable taste. It seems no difficulty is insurmountable for him.
We had a variety of pieces we had brought to SF after a major downsize from our last home, and needed to let some of it go — Berley’s suggestions made everything easy. When he left, the pieces that meant the most to us were not only beautifully hung, but further enhanced by his adjustment of the landlord’s recessed lighting. He securely attached a long case clock, two wall units and several other pieces which would be prone to toppling in a serious earthquake. And, he was able to refer me to local shops, services and websites for other kinds of work we need done.
I recommend Farber Art Services without reservation.

Bill from Farber Art Services came to install a number of framed art pieces in our home including a very tricky and intricate grid of pictures in our baby room. As a result they all needed to be affixed to the wall using special hardware to prevent any art from falling in event of an earthquake (or curious hands). The frames on these pieces were very thin and none of the available hardware was slim enough to fit so Bill went above and beyond to create custom hardware to adequately fit the svelte frames.
I am more than pleased with the install and albeit expensive, you really do get what you pay for, which is absolute professionalism and quality. I fully intend on using Farber Art Services again in the future and can’t recommend them enough.

Berley is the perfect pro to call when you have a tricky large installation project. He and his assistant Bill were consummate professionals and went above and beyond with the little details.
Berley not only helped me find the perfect position for my piece (not easy to imagine how a 7 foot sign is going to look hanging up) but he also rewired the electrical wires so that it would reach the power outlet in a polished aesthetically pleasing way.
I had them hang the remaining four prints that had been sitting on the floor since I moved in as well. When they left, my apartment looked and felt like a whole new place! I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Everything everyone has already said about Berley is completely accurate. He is truly the nicest more helpful guy.
I hired Berley to help me hang a gigantic painting (4.5′ x 4.5) in my home, and he did a fantastic job. He’s very professional, and likes everything to be perfect. For instance, he first put up the painting and then realized that the frame had warped slightly and made the painting stick out from the wall. He found a completely different way to put the painting up and now it’s gorgeous and pretty much flush against the wall.
Like a couple of other people mentioned, he then asked, «what next?» And the next thing I knew I had a bunch of different things up in my house. Things that I’d just been waiting and waiting to put up. It’s like I live here now! Craziness.
Now I want to go buy more things to put up in my house and have Berley over again!
