great selection, delicious food, and price is not too high.

Nice staff, good place and food. Loved their miso soup!!! Prices were decent and it’s located in a nice area. Also really enjoyed their working hours, I’ve been starving and craving pizza by when I saw sushi place opened, I was sold right away

This place is really expensive for sushi that is just okay. Try the lion king roll and bay roll.

Mentaiko tasted horrible like chemicals. Couldn’t finish the chirashi. Salmon was ok but rest weren’t very fresh and fell apart/looked kinda chewed.

Meh… this place is subpar. I walked I’m and it has this pungent weird smell. Normally, sushi places either have no smell or this fresh fish smell. This place had am odd smell… I was only one person so I didn’t order much. Just basic. A rock n roll(unagi with avocado) and two nigiri rolls(tuna and hamachi). When it first came, I was already a bit hesitant but whatever. I looked at the tuna and it wasn’t that fresh. It kinda looked like it was brought out from the freezer. The hamachi looked alright. Here’s a more in depth recview… Rock n roll: average. I mean, it’s an unagi roll. Not too special. They kinda doused it with the sauce(can’t remember the name right now…) but it was pretty sweet. Meh…2.5/5 Tuna nigiri: as said above, looked like it was frozen not too fresh. Taste was ok… Hamachi Nigiri: again, it was alright. Wasn’t amazing and wasn’t horrible. I kinda wish I went to the other place. I mistakenly went to this place and usually, that would leave me to a good find I utterly failed this time. The service was ok… rather slow with only two tables when I ordered. Mine should’ve been pretty quick cause it was legit one roll and 4 little pieces of nigiri. The price in total was about 25 bucks but what can you say, it is sf and lower nob hill. Won’t be coming back, sorry… Oh.and iono if it’s a fusion place, but there’s a heavy Korean theme to it. Guess it’s more karaōke at night? Iono. Oh wellz.

The drinks and food we ordered were up to par; we ordered hite, hot sake, asahi, soju and beer on draft. And on top of that we ordered standard dishes such as sushi rolls like red dragon, Alaskan roll, dinner combo, chicken teriyaki and bunch of other food items for 8 people to eat. The place they had us seated was in the back where the lights kept flickering and I felt a little dizzy afterwards. Another thing is when our server spilled a drink on the floor, it hit my friend on the back of his shirt where he got wet and it went all over my legs. She didn’t apologized and ran out of room. When the bill came, it was tacky for them to add gratuity to the bill after the incident where there was no formal apology nor a discount. I won’t be returning because the customer service is down the hill.

We were out of towner’s in need of sustenance. Simply put. So we stumbled upon this spot and found it to be decent, but nothing truly special. Food was good, service a tad slow, but its location was certainly convenient. The food would imply Japanese, but it is definitely a lot of Korean inspiration going on here. Let’s start with the blaring k-pop music amidst the sushi bar… Where am I? The sushi was pretty decent. The dynamite roll was good, the unagi a tad sweet, and the karaage chicken could have used a little seasoning. The pork belly was pretty interesting and could have benefited from a bit more salt. It had a nice sweet miso flavor that bit into the onions, but just a scosh of salt would have made it a pretty stellar dish. It’s open late. Yet, the bar part closes at midnight. Is it a bit ironic that a Korean establishment would be open without alcohol? Eh… I don’t know if it is a regulatory thing, but it was rather odd. Service was a tad slow and food arrived in a very disorganized manner. Sushi, chicken, sushi, beef… would have expected all of the sushi to arrive at the same time and the other cold items, but just seemed off.

I really like this place! I wish we had it back home in Seattle because it would be my go-to sushi spot. I looove their variety. Rolls, plenty of appetizers and entrees. My fav appetizers had to be the chicken karaage and cheese corn. The Lion King roll(seared salmon, crab and other things I don’t remember lol) was also deeeeelicious. The Dynamite Roll(asparagus, prawn tempura) didn’t fit any of our tastes, I think it was the asparagus. We tried 3 soju drinks. Kiwi, mango and strawberry. The strawberry flavor hid the alcohol taste well. They were all so good and refreshing. I definitely recommend.

This isn’t JPOP place as you would«guess» from their name. It is run by Koreans and when I was there twice on 2 nights in a row about 2 weeks ago(very close to my hotel), it was definitely playing Kpop music videos. Decent place for nightly hang out Anyways, here are my brief reviews Food: 3.5 I never order Kimchi Fried Rice or Yaki Udon, however, my friends ordered. Better than expected. Ask yaki udon to be spicy– It made me want to come back for the third time. Service: 3 average. Servers will hardly come to you unless you show you need something. Some occasion, that is better, but not when we are eating spicy food and there is no water in our cups. Ambience: 3 Dark light setting with huge windows. Various age groups seem to come here for post-work dinner or light drinks. Music videos on a huge screen were making this place look like another«this is really Asian place». For me, that was a downside. Will come back: 3 For a spicy food fanatic like me, that yaki udon we specially asked to make spicy was a pleasant surprise. If I were to come to SF and stay near the area, I would definitely return for that.

I can’t really remember my experience since it was so long ago. I remember it was lively, cool atmosphere, and a lot of chill asians. Umm nothing really extraordinary. average sushi place. I liked their spicy soup and that one roll but I forgot the name. One of the sushi rolls had too much lemon taste to it so it was so-so. I’ll definitely have to come back to try other entrees and update my stars. Cha-chiiing lol

Slow service and poor quality foods. With a party of 3 in an uncrowded restaurant, service was slow and our plates came out one at a time(note to establishment: you’re supposed to bring out everyone’s dishes at the same time). Oh, and appetizers came out AFTER the entrees. My friend and I had the udon soup, which was hardly a broth and there were hardly any vegetables included. Come on – you can’t spare a handful of lettuce and green onions? Will not be returning at all.

This is a very good Japanese restaurant. The best thing I like it here is because they are one of the rarely Japanese restaurants here in San Francisco that opens late(remember guys, they change their time from 2 to 1 am). On the other side, they offer free parking for their customers which is their competitive point over other rivals. Recommended!!!

Came here after a night of drinking, and was pretty drunk. If I remember correctly, isn’t food supposed to be amazing when you are drunk? Unfortunately, even in my drunken stupor I could tell this was just an average Japanese/Korean restaurants. Staff is friendly and this is a good place to continue getting drunk with a wide selection of Sake/Beer/Soju.

Service was outstanding, as my two dining companions were friends with one of the servers and she gave us freebie miso soup and edamame. Our server even helped me out by charging my dead iPhone! And the rolls were big and plentiful, but I really wish that there were more plain, traditional choices. Seemed like most of the rolls had mayonnaise, teriyaki or eel sauce, or were cooked or heavily seared. I’m REALLY not a big fan of eating cooked sushi, but my friend prefers that over raw, so I guess if you’re the same, this is the place for you. We ordered a bunch of rolls and a(huge!) pork belly appetizer that was just covered in a mountain of onions; didn’t care for this. The rolls were delicious but as I said, they were all pretty much cooked. I enjoyed the show of the flaming roll served tableside but it was totally cooked by the time the fire died down and it was ready to eat. 3.5 stars!

So basically, the only thing that’s really appealing about this place to folks not interested in singing karaōke, is that the place doesn’t lock up it’s front door until 2am. Suffice to say you can count on having a place to meet up or have a drink in this part of the city until a decent late night hour on a weekend. However, other than that, I feel this ninja is no longer kicking. This restaurant is just, lame. My girlfriend and I went here on a Friday night, for a restaurant experience I wish I could somehow erase from my memory. We arrived around 9:30pm. The karaōke room was turnt up, and you could clearly see the bartender had his hands full however the dining area was completely empty. I should have taken that as a sign. The service was slow and lacked any semblance of warmth or friendliness. We ordered a combo plate to share for our main & were treated to starters of miso soup and salad. The salad was subpar. The miso soup… Well. As a foodie, I believe in trying any dish twice before deciding on if it’s for you, in the case of a bad first experience. The miso soup here, which I was trying for the first time was so distasteful I’m not sure if I could give it another go even from another chef at a different restaurant. They ruined it, for everyone. The Teriyaki combo plate was actually pretty good but not good enough to get me to come back for more of any of their other dishes. When comparing the taste, presentation and value of this restaurant to other Asian restaurants just blocks away, it is clear that this place is not in last place but rather not in the race at all. I would not recommend this restaurant for anything other than serving as a meeting point, to hopefully go eat someplace else. It’s a reliable place to get a drink in this part of town until 2am. And it is not under any circumstance a good choice for a first or second date location, because otherwise I feel your taste or judgment in anything will forever be questionable. Go to taco bell instead.
