Specialties
I am passionate about helping women with issues of self-expression and self-love, healing wounds that stem from being involved in dysfunctional systems; an alcoholic partner or a mentally ill family member, for instance. I also specialize in work with teens struggling with depression, anger, sexual trauma, learning disabilities and self-harm.
I enjoy helping guide clients in finding their truest path, unblocking obstacles to creativity and aliveness. I work using the gestalt modality, helping build self-support and awareness around difficult areas of life to enable new choices. This involves here and now somatic and emotional tracking, pragmatic feedback, as well as dream work and guided imagery.
I lead workshops for therapist interns in working with addictions and alcoholic family systems. I am also a clinical supervisor, helping new therapists find confidence and effectiveness in their work. I am a certified Community Health Outreach Worker and Rape Crisis Counselor as well.
History
Established in 2007.
Since the beginning of my practice, I have seen amazing results, witnessing profound transformations from fearful, self-hating, blocked, or depressed lives to lively, strong, self-loving, creative and choiceful living. I have seen therapy be truly rewarding to my clients, and wonderfully to myself as well.
I provide individual and couples psychotherapy with a primary theoretical orientation in gestalt therapy. I also draw from transpersonal, psychodynamic, existential and relational psychotherapy, calling on whatever is needed in the moment as our work together unfolds.
Meet the Business Owner
Izzy N.
Business Owner
I came out of a dark place in my own life thanks in large part to the process of therapy. It is this profound transformation from hard, cold unkindness to warm, truthful compassion that led me on the journey of becoming a therapist, understanding its power at a heart level.
I have over 15 years experience working with twelve step programs. I have a wide knowledge and experience with issues of co-dependency, drug addiction, self-harm, alcoholism, debting, and sex and love addiction.
I have experience with CPS reporting, 5150s, expert testimony, disability claims, health insurance reporting, suicidal and criminal clients.
