J. Cleary Construction Inc. was formed in mid 2013 as a non-​publicly traded closed corporation. Its principal office is located in San Francisco, CA, which is centrally located to serve clients throughout the Bay Area. As a general contractor focusing on residential projects, J. Cleary Construction Inc. is committed to bringing large contractor professionalism, quality, and technology to homeowners and clients in a market where it is difficult to find a good contractor.

Jonathan C.

Business Owner

Founder Jonathan Cleary has been educating himself and working in the construction industry since the Summer of 2006. His education includes a bachelor’s degree in construction management, a minor in business, and also a LEED AP certificate for green construction. Jonathan has worked for small and large general contracting firms including Handy Dan Inc., W.L. Butler Construction Inc., McCarthy Building Companies Inc., Tony Moayed Construction Services Inc., Tricorp Hearn Construction Inc., and Swinerton Builders Inc. taking in best practices and learning from the brightest people in the industry. To advance his career in the construction industry, his next step was to take a calculated risk and pursue starting and leading a successful general contracting company.
