Nadia just helped us sell our condo and she was phenomenal to work with. I interviewed this realtor when I was going to sell my home in Noe Valley. She was recommended by a friend. When we met I was surprised at the way she downplayed my home. Still, I let her make a presentation… it was very disappointing but I thought, well, maybe the other agents are wrong?
I told her I would think about it. The next day she showed up with her own «buyers» telling me they were very interested. Instead of looking out for my best interest, she tore my place up and down to them… I was shocked and cery upset. As she shuffled them out, she turned and said, you’d take 970,000 today if they offered, right? I felt so used and betrayed. Not only did she try to trick me into selling my house under market value, she fully intended to take commission as both buyer and seller agent! Watch out for this trick. A reputable realtor would never try to pull such a con. As a single woman/​homeowner whose reason for selling was financial need and for my retirement, I wanted to trust her. Instead, she took compete advantage of me, thinking I would do what she said since I held the friend who recommended her in high regard… unscrupulous, to say the least… Sellers, I’m sure she isn’t the only one. Agents only care about their bottom line, not yours.

Nadia represented us in the sale of our condo in Twin Peaks. She worked extremely hard throughout the time she worked with us and was able to find the perfect buyer. Our place sold, and we are so pleased!

My husband and I (first-​time buyers) worked with Nadia to buy our home in San Francisco and we cannot say enough good things about her. We bought our house in SF during this crazy 2013 summer market (numerous all-​cash offers, very little inventory, etc.). Ok, so when we started interviewing potential agents in SF I became resigned to the fact that it’s a schmoozy industry where agents above all need to be personable and smooth. I wasn’t learning very much (i.e., not much substantive takeaway) from these meetings, and agents’ statements such as «All my clients really like me, and I want us to be able to meet for beers even after the deal is over» rang hollow and disappointing. Meeting Nadia was COMPLETELY different. After 1 hour with her I felt much better-​informed about how the process worked (I mean specific details and strategies, not just first comes a bid, then comes blah blah). As a result of having over 25 years’ experience in SF in real estate, Nadia knows so much and she is very very generous with her knowledge. Right away we knew we wanted to work with her. Still, we thought we should first go for a test run to look at some open houses the following Sunday.
Nadia (as was the case for every single meeting over the following months) showed up on the dot, and took us around to open houses for several hours. We covered lots of neighborhoods and properties, but she never rushed us, answered all our questions, and made us feel super comfortable. Again, I learned so much going to view properties with her: things to consider for re-​sale, questions to ask the selling agent (each of whom she knew on a first-​name basis), how to study the bones of a house and not to be too distracted by surface furnishings which are simply the marker of a good staging process, things to notice about the street and traffic flow and more.
Nadia’ knowledge of SF served us well at every stage of the process. She knows every nook and cranny of the city.
No email went unanswered, and she responds very quickly. Phone calls were answered/​messages returned very quickly. I don’t know how she does it, but I have never worked with another professional in any industry who managed to be so responsive (even while on a short vacation with her family). If our schedules required an early or late meeting, she was happy to accommodate. After Nadia, it is hard to get used to plumbers and roofers who need to come during the normal workday.
Again, I don’t know how she does it since she is one of the most successful agents at Zephyr, but she took such good care of us that we felt like we were her only clients. «Nadia, can you meet Sunday from 1 – 4?» «Sure.» «Nadia, can you meet tomorrow at 2 for the inspection?» «No problem.» «Nadia, can we come by the office at 8 pm to talk over the offer strategy tomorrow?» «Great!»
She is quick to understand your preferences – and very good with couples. My husband and I had overlap in our wish list, but also some different priorities. She remained sensitive to those preferences (my husband really wanted a view, for example) and helped us stay realistic while also not pushing us to give up our dream. In the end, we got the killer view he wanted, and the quiet street, walkability and flow of light I wanted in a fantastic neighborhood.
Impressively, she stayed focused and detail-​oriented all the way through the closing. We never felt dumped or abandoned, even after our offer was accepted.

Buying a house is a daunting task, and since it is something you are unlikely to have much experience doing, you need to have someone who has helped clients find the right house for years. Add the fact that noe valley is a zoo for people buying, you need to have every advantage possible. Number one is finding the right realtor team.
Nadia spends the time day one to find out what you really want. she asks detailed questions until she has a very good idea of who you are. Then she gets to work bringing only houses to you she thinks will fit. Nadia has lived for years in the neighborhood, knows every street and has sold many of the houses there. She knows the micro climates, the schools, the bus routes, and where is the best place to buy. Most of all she loves being a realtor and knows which houses are coming on then market. It’s like having a family member working for you.
To make things even better, she works as a team with Laura Kaufman who is great and super organized and tech savvy so you get 2 realtors working on your behalf. They are insanely responsive. always returning calls and emails in minutes. If one is tied up, the other jumps in.
Finding a house in SF is very tough and negotiating the final deal is the most important deal you will make, and having Laura and Nadia as our realtor team got us our dream house.
