Our program specializes in detail. We are able to teach a high level of detailed information about the work because of our small class sizes and the presence of both program creators, Carol and Sharon, in most lectures. We also offer many more hours of hands on lecture for the same cost of most other programs.

We have a high standard and level of expectation from our students which has given our program it’s stellar reputation.

History

Established in 2006.

Pilates Education Lab (formerly Sanchez Street Studios Pilates Teacher Training Program) was developed by Carol LeMaitre and Sharon Gallagher-​Rivera, in response to the need for a quality Classical Pilates Teacher Training Program taught from a detailed approach to the traditional exercises.

Our program focuses on understanding movement skills, as well as teaching even the most subtle details of «seeing» alignment, «feeling» alignment and knowing the internal work of each of the exercises, all while maintaining a commitment to the intense, vigorous and full body movement aspects of the traditional method.

Meet the Business Owner

Carol L.

Business Owner

Carol LeMaitre has been teaching Pilates since you were in 3^rd grade. She trained at Ellie Herman Studios, and has a strong background in the Janda Method of Neuromuscular Reprogramming. Naturally, she has studied with some of the greatest trainers in the business, including Jennifer Stacy, Kathy Grant, Cara Reeser, Eric Franklin and Michelle Larson.

She is also delighted to add to the Pilates population explosion by offering an exceptional teachers training program for anyone who wishes to become a certified Pilates instructor.

Sharon G.

Sharon Gallagher began teaching Pilates in 1999 at Ellie Herman Studio, while at the same time learning the Janda Method of Neuromuscular Reeducation from Janyne Edwards. She soon after attended a teaching intensive at the Pilates Center of Boulder which inspired her passion for the depth of the work and changed her approach to teaching. She continued with years of study under Jennifer Stacey and quickly became known as a teacher of teachers.
