History

Established in 1989.

Totally Wired began over 20 years ago as Advanced Commercial Electric, or ACE, a humble, family-​owned electrical contracting company. Since then, the company has gone through a couple «makeovers» to cater to the ever-​changing electrical needs of home owners and business owners. Now doing business as Westsun Electric and Solar, because of the recent solar boom, we thought we had all the bases covered. But as time went on and with the advent of newer, more advanced low voltage technologies, Westsun underwent another face lift.

Founded by Shawn Choy and with his father, Chris, working as the licensed state certified master electrician, Totally Wired was created with a mission to integrate all of the low and high voltage needs of today’s home and business owners.

Meet the Business Owner

Shawn C.

Business Owner

Born as an only child and raised in San Francisco, Shawn grew up as most natives would, open-​minded, cultured, and creative. Like his father, he was a soldier in the US Army, not as a communications sergeant, but as a paratrooper. Also like Chris, Shawn graduated with a degree, but rather in computer systems and electronics. Now, after 7 years of being trained up to his father’s rigid standards, he is a journeyman level electrician. In Shawn’s early twenties, he was responsible for installing the surveillance system and building the multiple-​source, multiple speaker system for the «Sound Room» at Circuit City in Daly City. Now, over a decade later, he’s happy to admit that the duties, which he often thought were menial and thankless, have contributed, in part, to what he knows now. As the owner of Totally Wired, he looks forward to enthusiastically utilize all of his training, education, and experience to bring the latest and greatest right into your home or business.
