Work The Funk Out offers One-on-one Personal Training and specializes in Corrective Exercise & Functional Exercise.
WTFO’s approach to fitness is education and safety-based with form as the utmost priority and functional carry-over to everyday life situations.
History
Established in 2011.
Work The Funk Out (WTFO) was founded in January 2011 in response to today’s supplement-pumped and cosmetically-focused fitness industry.
Functional exercise — training for life situations and not focusing merely on the cosmetic effects of particular exercises — provides the basis for WTFO’s fitness offerings.
Work The Funk Out promotes a whole foods, plant-based diet with an emphasis placed on the holistic nature of food. With this stated, supplements play no roll in WTFO’s message.
Currently, www.workthefunkout.com is greatly being expanded with ideas to make it unique from any other fitness web site. The website’s goal is to educate as many people as possible on the fundamentals of functional exercise as a way of helping them to live healthier and longer lives.
Meet the Business Owner
Mark L.
Business Owner
Mark Leffler founded Work The Funk Out after having more than a decade of exercise experience behind him. Mark first began to lift weights around the age of 13 using his father’s ancient weight bench and concrete weights. This began his fruitful education in fitness.
The personal fulfillment one gets through exercise was apparent to Mark at a young age, and time was always devoted to this need. As a result, Mark tries to share his love of exercise and interest in health with those he comes into contact with.
Training is more than just a paycheck to Mark. He loves the connections and friendships that he has made as a trainer and group fitness instructor. Perhaps most rewarding has been the feedback received from clients regarding the positive changes in their bodies and lives as a result of working with Mark.
