Lee Shin Tae Kwon Do

Master Lee shin is a super nice and welcoming instructor. We love it here! His two kids also teach a me are super energetic and treat my kids super nice and they tell me how much fun they have. Not too expensive and overall good experience for anyone wanting to learn martial arts. He does good introductory class’s to get a feel of how you like it

Master Shin is awesome! He’s very friendly and professional. Master Ali is very good with the kids and goes over a lot of techniques and moves. Instructor Lauren is young and very laid back with the kids. I wish she would be more structured. It averages about $ 200 a month for twice a week.

My 6 year old son has been a student here for a year and a half. The instructors and staff are extremely courteous and friendly. Master Shin is usually the instructor when we attend the classes. He has patience with the kids, thoroughly explains all the steps and can be strict to the children when needed. As a parent, I appreciate an instructor stepping in and reiterating my son home values and philosophy of what kids no longer have these days (such as trust, integrity, confidence, and focus). The students also learn about home rules, how to show respect to one another and most importantly to family members. It sounds cheesy but after moving up to a green belt, I have noticed tremendous maturity and focus on my child’s part.
My son loves attending the classes (2 times/​week) as well as his sparring class (1/​week). He enjoys running around with warm-​up exercises, learning his forms and learning self-​defense techniques. Each month there is a belt test in which children will be tested their forms to go onto the next high belt. TKD is just like any other extra curricular activity (tennis, basketball and piano). If you don’t practice, you will never get good at your sport or talent. As for my son, he knows practicing and achieving a new belt makes him feel confident. He understands that every time he works hard for something, the result is rewarding.
I can’t say if the cost for TKD class is expensive or not. I can only say it is worth it since there are 2 classes offered/​week and a free sparring class that is included (one time fee of $ 175 for equipment). This week he will be going to his first TKD tournament. Win or not, it will be a good experience for him to see how other kids practice and do well on their forms.
I have to say after a year of TKD, his footwork and coordination has improved along with his maturity level.

Signing up with Lee Shin Tae Kwon Do was one of the best decisions we have ever made for our 3 year old son, he is enjoying it and we are truly happy with his progress. Both of the master and grand master are very good with kids, they are truly worthy of being of role model for our son!

My kids are 3 and 5yrs old. I love my kids but there energy level wipes me out. We have been at leeshin taekwondo for little over 2months. The change has been nothing but amazing. They listen so much better and whenever they act up i just have to mention that i’m going to tell there master and BHAM! It’s a great tool to control my kids. The first time i saw the kids there i thought these kids have no discipline but the master does a nice job of being firm but not to firm. We plan on going all the way to black belt (we bought the black belt package).

Master Lee has been dismissed. Master Shin is in charge now. I’m not sure how I feel, change is always difficult. But the important thing is that my son, who this is all about, seems to like Master Shin as well. So for now, we are going to keep it going. I hope there is more organization and transparency in their billing. It’s been a little willy-nilly…and expensive.
