Mission SuperHardware has been serving the greater San Gabriel Valley since 1946. Mission was started by Joe Falabrino with the premise of excellent Customer Service, Quality Products and outstanding Prices.

This hardware store has been here serving the San Gabriel Valley community since 1946. That’s before my mother was born. It is well organized, and clean. The aisles are comparably narrower than some newer markets. They made up for it by friendly and welcoming service.
I was looking for dowels during this particular visit. An employee quickly pointed me to the right place. Unfortunately, the size I need only came in 3 feet length. The worker helped me cut this long piece of wood that cost only 90 cents into the right dimensions in less than 10 minutes, with no additional charge! I almost felt bad about getting such a steal from them. I am pleasantly impressed.

Joey, I think you’re the one that is confused. I don’t think you were listening on the phone. You’re right, I ordered two screens and I did sign it knowing one of the screens was wrong. I told your cashier that I will be back to change the size of one of the screens within an hour, prior to you actually starting the process of making it. I came back and went directly to the screen making counter. I told the gentleman behind the counter that one of the screens that I just ordered needs to be changed. He said no problem and proceeded to fill out one of those «half sheet» papers you have sitting on the counter. I stood there for a couple of minutes as he filled it out. I asked him if I needed to sign anything. He said no. (Doesn’t seem like it would matter since he did not follow standard procedure, or you would have that sheet of paper attached to my original receipt). I asked him if he was sure, and he said yes. I then asked him how much do I need to pay for the difference since the screen is larger. He told me not to worry about it, he wasn’t going to make me wait in line for 20 minutes for $ 1.65 difference (very nice of him but also not standard procedure). My fault for trusting one of your employees.
Where is that change order paper you ask? Probably in the trash with or without my signature on it. You can ask the guy working behind the counter that day or look at what your camera’s recorded. (I hope you do find time to look it over and realize that you are wrong).
I also did not leave with any screen and come back, I think you just made that up. You still have the screen that you made correctly which you can throw away because I won’t have any need for it. Why would I tell you to make another screen in place of the one you messed up? Because you owe it to me.

This is the GO TO place for hardware! It seems like a mom and pop spot but it has been here for YEAAAARRRS! I remember it when I was a teeny weeny kid! Now, whenever my parents need anything, this is the first hardware store I’ll go to! EVERYONE here is SO KNOWLEDGEABLE even the old, young, man, or woman… they ALL know what they are talking about from my experiences! They usually have a good amount of customers here, too, and their CS is always on point! Love all the women here especially bc they know so much, it’s awesome!

Small store. I’m used to Home Depot and all. But this place really got me going there quite often now. Good place for quick in & out. Good place to get things for little fixer upper around the house. I’m glad we have this store in the neighborhood.

This hardware store kind is quite small which makes it easy to find what you need, and there’s always an associate willing to help. They cut spare keys for 50¢ per key, they repair window screens and screen doors at a fair price and they cut glass to size. Mission offers a rewards card and you will receive coupons in the mail depending on how much you spend. I don’t shop here a lot so I think the last coupon they sent me was $ 8 off of $ 20.

I had a leaky kitchen faucet that I was told would cost $ 100s of dollars to replace. I took it apart and brought it to Gilbert at Mission Hardware and he not only found me the right replacement cartridges and knobs, but gave me easy to understand, step by step directions for repairing it myself. $ 20 and 10 minutes later my faucet was working like new. You just don’t find that type of customer service at big-​box hardware stores. Thanks for the good, old-​fashioned service, Gilbert!

This is the place to get duplicate keys at a cheap price, 50 pennies. The service is fast and great. They sell stuff that one might not find at Home Depot or Lowes. I have to say, the workers had great knowledge about what I was asking and was able to help me out. Thumbs Up!

Love this place. Always lots of helpful dudes with headsets to help you find what you’re looking for. Lucky for me this place is between my house an the Home Depot. I always stop here first to see if they have hat I need.
Extensive paint, all the basics, a nice robust tools section and specialty services in the back. Lumber selection is limited, but hey, it’s a corner hardware store. What do you want?
Plus, they have really pretty blue bags that perky up my bathroom when rises in the trash can.

OMG! The manager of the store (Aaron) was so mean and bad. He didn’t apologize to me when I made a complaint that one of the salesman gave me the wrong product. Aaron was yelling out loud and blaming me saying that it was my fault. I actually saw him yelling at the customer before regarding a defective product that the customer brought in just day ago and he didn’t want to give exchange or refund. I don’t know why the store’s owner let him run the store. The manager is also racist, he is seen only yelling at Asians. The cashiers are nice and polite.

This place is convenient, courteous, and has almost everything you need for regular building maintenance supplies at a fair price! When I recently went in to look at replacement faucets, the staff was extremely helpful and thorough in making sure I went home with the correct part!
I would for sure rather support a local business dedicated to providing quality service than a big box store like Home Depot!!!

Prices are a lot more expensive than Home Depot, but I dont have to walk a mile from parking to warehouse, another mile inside looking for stuff (before I soon forget what I was there for and looking for), and another mile looking for assistance,… and then check out myself.
Help and assistance at every corner (and the store is not that big). Super Hardware because customer service is SUPER.

This is the neighborhood hardware store. My dad and I have been coming here since I was a youngin’ so in part, my trips here always have a nostalgic feel. It’s a smaller hardware store so you don’t feel overwhelmed when walking in (such as how I feel every time I’m in home depot). In part of being a smaller store, they don’t have everything you would find at home depot such as lumber or a nursery or paint, but they do have what you need for basic repairs. I came here to find these certain brackets for shelving in my classroom, and was pleased that they had it! They have great staff and great prices, especially if you sign up for their rewards card. I always try here first before heading to home depot.

I bought about $ 1,000 value of products from this store one year ago in 2012 and it was okay.
Recently on May 18, 2013, I bought three ventilation ceiling fans and three days later (May 21, 2013) I came back to return two of them because my contractor provided me incorrect quantity information for the property that was being remodeled.
The two returned fans were never open and the boxes were new and fully sealed. The cashier Tricia gave me a hard time and was very rude to me. His facial expression was telling me that I should not return the products.
It was okay to have the manager to verify the boxes but it was not a pleasant experience. The manager and another personel each cut open the two boxes and verified the content inside and then they sealed the boxes back. I got the two boxes refund finally at the end.
Now I read other reviews and confirmed other customers were having similar experience when returning unused products.
I will not buy anything from this store again. I typically go to Lowes and Home Depot but this store was just close by that day and I now regretted.

Mission Hardware has been in San Gabriel for many years. I like coming here for different reasons. 1). I like the service here. The employees go out of their ways to try helping you. 2). It’s not nearly as crowded as a huge home center, and Mission Hardware can accomplish your material needs. 3). Duplicating keys here is only .50 cents. What a deal!
Each time I come here, I feel the coziness from the help I get. Of course you must ask for help the majority of the times… but, the workers sometimes will ask you if you needed assistance.
I have bought primer, paint, touch up paint, paint brushes, metal screens for windows, locks, made keys, automatic electric timers, etc. at Mission. They will take your returns with no questions asked, and even if you wanted to explain to them… they don’t care. As long as the returned item is in its container and you have a receipt will do.
I hope Mission Hardware stays in the SGV for many years to come. It’s a great store to go if for your do it yourself needs.
