Four Seasons Bobcat & Pool Removal

Scott Johnson of Four Seasons Bobcat Service just completed the backfilling of my pool. I am very happy with his work and I highly recommend Scott Jonhson for your pool backfilling project.
I have interviewed multiple pool backfill contractors. I chose Scott because I really like his pool backfilling process. His process is very methodical resulted in a very clean backfill. There is virtually no debris buried at the bottom of the pool. Pool backfilled with debris at the bottom will likely to settle more.
Scott is also picky about the soil to fill the pool. He only accepts soil with a small percentage of clay content. His assistant also removed debris such as tree roots from the soil. Organic material will decay and cause settlement in the future.
During the backfilling, Scott also takes pictures of the pool area. He sends this picture to me so I now have a permanent record of this project.

My wife found Scott from Unilocal,made an appointment and Scott showed up on time, told us everything we need to know (we need to clear the hall way, which including cutting the fence door, removing the ac, etc). His quote is reasonable and he didn’t leave all those trash from the pool inside the pool. He only filled pool with good dirt. So we decided to let him start the project. The total project lasts about 4 days. But unfortunately, on day 3 night, it rained heavily. Scott and his buddy came to check if the work could be continued twice, only to found out the road was too muddy and the tractor could slipped into the house. So Scott decided to wait for the road completely dry to resume the work. After the project finish, the pool is removed nicely, the excess dirt is cleaned away, the pool equipment is cut nicely and left for my own use. Furthermore, Scott helped me to remove a big tree root without additional costs.
Really appreciate his work and will recommend him to my friends.

Scott did a fantastic job getting our pool removed and filled. He offers everything one could ask for in a contractor, such as being knowledgeable/​experienced, very punctual and responsive, and detail oriented. One of his greatest attributes is that he approaches things from the perspective of the home owner. For example, he takes great care in ensuring home security isn’t compromised during construction. He also spends extra time to remove concrete (rather than using it as fill material) and use good fill material. In addition, as a courtesy, he would go above and beyond the contracted job to take out underground rocks/​concrete found during the job. Lastly, he does not nickel and dime you and offers competitive pricing. So overall it was a great experience working with Scott, and I would highly recommend him to anyone else who is fed up with maintaining pools.

I had Four Seasons remove my pool and would recommend Scott to anyone needing demo work done. I have worked with a lot of contractors over the years and Scott is by far the most reliable one I have had the pleasure to work with. Service was great, price was affordable and the results are just what I was hoping for. He always kept me informed about the schedule (and did show up when he said he would!), the inspector was very pleased with each progress inspection, and he left my job site clean and tidy. Scott is a very nice man. Beyond this, he shows up when he says he will, does excellent work, and cleans up after himself. Hooray! He and another man came out to lay base rock on our very long, very muddy driveway. Initially we thought we would not be able to do the work as the last rain left a sizeable puddle that was not going away. However, after pondering for awhile Scott called me back with a new plan to lay the base rock before the next rain hit. We will compact it ourselves, but he gave advice on how to do it, when to do it, pitfalls, and has it all prepped and ready to go. Funny, not having a muddy lane for our «driveway» makes the house look a whole lot better.

We had an above ground pool in our backyard which was old and leaking. We called Scott after reading the wonderful Unilocal reviews. He was on time and gave a quote on the spot, unlike other contractors who took more than 2 days for a quote. Scott was very straight forward and will tell you what to expect good or bad. He figured the easiest route for his Bobcat tractor to enter the backyard, he had to cut ½ trees, but he saved the lemon tree. The dirt he used for filling up the pool is of good quality and he doesn’t like to fill in junk. I was surprised how smoothly he got the job done and on time. He was there when the inspector came and made sure everything was ok. After he was done, he even cleaned the street where the dirt was dumped. Overall, an excellent experience. So happy:-), finally got rid of the pool!

My review for Scott & Four seasons Bobcat was pending for few months; my apologies.
We decided to demolish (non engineered fill) our pool and started interviewing local contractors.
Scott stood out as he was honest about what he can and what he cannot guarantee during his work, which of course we liked. Others painted a beautiful picture while giving estimates, like one stop shop, things will be pretty etc.
Scott also gives itemized expenses and haul away concrete/​re-​bar (unlike others). His quote was competitive, got the permits and he finished the work as promised. Once inspection day was scheduled, Scott was outside waiting for the inspector and ensured permits are signed off.
What we liked:
Honest, punctual, Owner-​operator, written quote onsite, itemized quote, easy to communicate, timely follow-​up, competitive, professional and pleasant to work with.
Scott and his team were very professional — before, during and after the work.
I would be happy to recommend Scott/​Four seasons Bobcat to any one.

We just completed having our large inground pool removed by Scott. We had an excellent experience.
If you read the other reviews you will see that Scott follows the same procedures on every job.
Scott will tell you very clearly what he is going to do and what to expect, both good and bad. In fact, we chose Scott, because of all the bids we received he was the most straightforward.
Scott takes the job very seriously, and it is true that he does not accept dirt that does not meet his specifications.
Additionally, Scott is a master at driving the bobcat. You will enjoy watching his skill with this piece of equipment.
Scott remains with your job until completed. You do not have to worry that he will begin the job and then not see him again for days. He is at your site every day.

6. Good documentation — my job required an additional insured endorsement which Scott’s wife handled promptly.
7. Pleasant to work with.
8. Scott did what he said and when he said he would.

I recently had Four Seasons remove an old pool and completely demo my backyard. It was a medium sized job and Scott handled it in a timely fashion at a reasonable price. He took care of the permit requirements and had the job inspected after completion. The final touch was a CD with digital photos of the whole job, thanks Scott!

We had an old pool that was in desperate need of repair or removal — we chose the latter, and quickly decided on Scott. His knowledge and approach made it an easy decision.
He performed all the work a described, even provided documentation of his work along the way. Overall, we were very satisfied with the work Scott and team did — so much so, we referred him to my brother-​in-​law to fill in his pool.

Just had Four Seasons remove about 15 CY of dirt from my property. Although kind of a small job, Scott handled it very professionally, and left my property looking better than he found it. Although his rates aren’t the very cheapest that I found, the cheapest guy didn’t want my job (we’re in the Santa Cruz Mountains), so Scott gets points for being willing to come out here and for not charging extra because of our location (you’d be surprised how many people do charge extra to come just a few miles past town).
It’s kind of fun to watch Scott at work — he loves what he does, and it is very obvious that he is having a blast on his Bobcat. :) Nice work Scott — thanks!

Just completed pool removal/​fill job. Scott delivered on his commitment to complete the job within the agreed timeframe ~ 5 days and kept me informed throughout the process. Scott is a true professional and takes pride in his work. He insisted on only using quality dirt/​fill so there wouldnt be any issues down the line. He actually delayed the project for a day (mutually agreed) because quality dirt was not available. Scott was responsive from begining to end and the best part as another post eluded to, his quote was much much lower than the competition (about 40% less).

What a wonderful experience! Scott came out, explained very carefully what our options were in having our pool removed, took care of the permits, came when he said he would, and did many extras such as removing underground pipes which might have caused problems later. Our job was complicated, because we asked him to remove our concrete aggregate pool apron which ran all the way up to and sometimes under a curved concrete block retaining wall. He was able to remove all the apron and kept the retaining wall structurally intact, for which we are grateful! All tools were carefully set out of the way each night, and he even hosed off both back decks before leaving. Really a pleasure to work with.
