Go Green Box

Extremely convenient and great for the environment. They’re super flexible on pick up and drop off times. I love not having to deal with scrounging around liquor stores for boxes, paying a bunch of money for boxes I only use once, or breaking down and getting rid of boxes at the end of a move. I’m a chronic procrastinator, and another hidden bonus is that the time limit on the rental actually forces you to unpack quickly too. Highly recommend to anyone moving.

I have never written a review before but I had to when it came to Brian and Go Green Boxes. I moved about a month ago and hadn’t moved for 17 years. I also moved to an area away from their normal territory, but I hated the thought of wasting cardboard so I went GoGreen anyway. Brian was so helpful and flexible at a crazy time. I couldn’t be happier with the concept and the operators/​owners. If you’re wondering if you should, the answer is definitely.

Wowza! This was absolutely one of the best decisions we could have made for our move.
The rental process was easy and the delivery was as well!
The totes were very sturdy and could fit a fair amount of any type of item without bowing or feeling limp. The handles were a little stiff from the plastic so perhaps wear some gloves!
I would recommend anyone to this service who asks me, 100%.

A wonderful service! Go green box has made my packing so easy! We are getting all new floors and needed to move everything out into the garage. Go Green Box made it easy for us to move everything. No taping boxes, no worrying about getting rid of boxes afterwards! Wonderful!

My good friend lives in San Jose and has been a supporter of my box rental business from the beginning. When he orchestrated his office move he really wanted to use our boxes, but since my company is on the East Coast, he was out of luck. I did some research and met fellow box operator, Brian from Go Green Box.
Brian & the Go Green Box crew did a fantastic job! The feedback to us (a referring box operator) was exactly what we would want to hear — the boxes were clean, delivered on time and picked up without hassle. The reservation and billing process went smoothly. The office move was easy, they will never use cardboard again. And most importantly, I was happy that my friend had a great moving experience — the same as if I had taken care of it myself. This is my 2^nd rental for green boxes and decided to go with Go Green Box. Main reason is that «a mix of different size boxes» did not help me from earlier move and I wanted larger boxes. So I compared various options and this seemed to be most optimal. Customer service was very friendly and punctual. Brian was nice enough to offer additional days to keep the boxes if I needed to, however 15 days is pretty good. I will use their service again without a doubt.

So glad Manny was able to assist me with my move. I called at the last minute and within ½ hour he was at my place with 10 boxes and even carried them up to my apartment. So helpful. I thought I would be able to unpack within the week, and things never go as planned with moving, sooo, I called Manny and asked if I could keep them for another week, noooooooooo problem! These guys are awesome, thank you so much!

We used Green Box in August for a house move.

— They give you stickers to label and organize.
— Having boxes the same size helped organize space in the moving vehicles
— Brian was flexible is schedule and helpful with suggestions.
— We didn’t have to hunt down dirty boxes from stores that put them out back or friends.

LOVE these boxes! I HATE collecting boxes and putting them together with tape! These were so easy! Even thought they were super nice about the pick up date, I like that it forced me to unpack quickly :-) Thanks!

Brian has very helpful and flexible with the rental of the boxes. The boxes are great as they protect things and they are very easy to move and stackable. I even bought 4 of them to keep stored here in my house.

Excellent service from Brian and I highly recommend these boxes for a move. Dropped off on time and gave us a few extra days on the pick-​up. These boxes are great for moving efficiently. They stack well for movers to get them out of the house and onto the truck and not waste time handling different size boxes and taping them and hoping the bottoms don’t fall out. Great for dishes and fragile objects but just wrap them well as you would normally.

I’m not sure why everyone isn’t using this service. It is amazing! It’s amazing because:
1. You don’t have to go out and buy boxes and haul them to your home. This service drops the boxes at your home and picks them up at your new home when you’re finished!
2. You don’t have to build and break down boxes. Taping boxes is a nightmare because the tape guns DO NOT work. Breaking down boxes leaves paper cuts.
3. You don’t have to store or dispose of the boxes when you are finished using them.
4. The items that are in the boxes are protected from damage. I moved a two bedroom, two bathroom home and NOTHING broke!
The boxes are light enough that it doesn’t feel extraordinarily heavy with your things in them either.
Rosie and Brian make the process very easy. They knew what we needed without me having to guess. They deliver what and when they say they will deliver.
I have nothing but great things to say about this service. I will use them again, and again, and again!

Brian and his crew are amazing. Great product and a great service. What a luxury to have boxes dropped off and picked up! I highly recommend them.

I have to say, I truly despise moving. Unfortunately because of my husbands job, we have to move fairly often. I heard about Go Green Box and looked up reviews on Unilocal.After experiencing it for myself, the reviews are spot on.
I didn’t really have time to go and seek out cardboard boxes and saw that getting these boxes was comparable to the cost of purchasing boxes. I have it a try, and was super pleased with their service. I hope I never have to move without these things again. They are so super convenient.
First, Rosie is super friendly to deal with. She worked with our schedule and Brian dropped off the boxes at our apartment along with the roller cart-​thingy. Moving the stack of boxes around –whether they are empty or full– was really easy. With an elevator, you literally just need to lift them to stack them and lift them in the truck. We could fit 16 in our full sized truck bed at one time.
You also don’t really need to pack things as well as you normally do, because the boxes are hard plastic. About 99% of our stuff fit in the boxes. Everything in the boxes was perfectly intact after the movers handled them. The movers broke a framed photo and a chair, which obviously were not packed in the boxes, so that gives you an idea of how gentle they were with our stuff (enter sarcasm).
Once we moved everything in, it was so great to simply be able to stack them in the corner as we unpacked each box. I have always felt so guilty in the past with how much waste there is from moving, but I felt so good knowing how small my carbon footprint was this time around.
We ran into a few other people moving out of our building at the time and they all expressed how jealous they were that we had these boxes and commented on how easy they looked to handle. Our movers also thanked us for having these since it also made their job much easier as well.
So basically, I have nothing but rave reviews for this service!

My husband and I recently moved from a town house to an apartment and used Go Green Box. This was the first time we used this type of service and Go Green Box made it so easy and simple. Brian was so helpful with moving tips and quick to respond to all my emails. With the Go Green Boxes the movers were more efficient in moving them up a flight of stairs. I have already started recommending Go Green Box to my family and friends as the value is totally worth it compared to those dang U-​Haul boxes that are useless after your move. I will be moving in 12 months and will definitely be using Go Green Box for my future moves. Thanks so much for everything Go Green Box!

My family and I recently moved and decided to try Go Green Box. We didn’t want to have to buy or scrounge for cardboard boxes and buy a bunch of tape, especially knowing we’d then have to get rid of them when the move was over. The ability to stack the boxes was going to be a huge advantage also! We couldn’t have been more happy with our decision.
The boxes are clean, super sturdy and come with labels that easily affix to (and remove from) the boxes for labeling what’s inside.
The Go Green team was super helpful and the prices were reasonable. When we weren’t quite ready for the boxes to be picked up, the cost of extending the rental for a week was very cheap (obviously it didn’t entail pick-​up or delivery which is the bulk of their expense I imagine).
The BEST part of using these boxes though is the inherent procrastination fighter that comes with them… you are on a deadline to get them unloaded and ready to pick-​up, so this adds fire under the tail to get them unpacked! :-)

We were planning a local move, but didn’t want the hassle of finding cardboard boxes (pain in the butt)…We also didn’t want to buy boxes which if you haven’t checked lately, Cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$!
Go Green Box is the way to go. Inexpensive and reliable. The service is great! They are punctual for both delivery and pickup of the rental boxes. This was by far the easiest move we’ve ever had! I would never move again without Go Green Box.

Moving is such a pain in the rear, but Go Green Boxes totally took a ton of the hassle out! I dread packing, even for a 3 day trip, so packing up an entire two-​bedroom apartment is a small nightmare to me. But having these boxes helped a ton!
You rent them for a two week period, which was just enough. When I called, I talked with Rosie. She recommended 35 boxes based on our apartment size, and was dead-​on. We had about 3 boxes leftover at the end. I scheduled a time for them to drop off the boxes, a week before our move. Brian and Manny arrived right on time, and between the two of them and a couple of dollies, had the boxes in my living room within 5 minutes! I loved that they stacked neatly in the corner and we could just pull them out one by one as me and my roomie needed them. They were super-​clean inside, too.
The best part was, aside from not having to scrounge/​beg for used boxes and/​or paying for new ones… the fact that we didn’t have to deal with tape and putting boxes together. Such a pain! Especially with those damn tape guns. Who really knows how to use those, anyway? Plus, with the cardboard boxes I always end up filling them too heavy with kitchen stuff and no one can lift them. These are totally sturdy and just the right size so you don’t end up stuffing them too much.
My roomie and I hired movers (another brilliant decision) and they loved them too! They could load up their dollies and move 5 or 6 at a time. Handles on the side make them easy to lift, and the labels are perfect because the movers could clearly see which room they went into.
When we were done, Brian happily picked them up after I got home from work on a Monday night. We have stairs at our new place, so no dollies, but he and Manny just carried them down 5 or 6 at a time. Boxes cleared out in 5 minutes flat!
I would highly recommend renting these for the convenience, and the little added bonus that you’re helping save the environment, too! Brian, Rosie and Manny were so friendly, and easy to work with. I’m hoping I don’t have to move again for a while (at least a year!) but when I do I’ll be using Go Green Box again for sure.

Go Green Box was the best solution for easy moving, next to hiring movers to do everything for me, of course. I couldn’t have been happier with the decision to use this service! My husband was a little skeptical about paying to rent boxes, and wanted to go the «free» route of scavenging for boxes behind stores and businesses, I thought… «Umm, NO!» and called up Bryan at Go Green Box. I was scheduled for a 9am drop off of 25 boxes with a 2 week rental, this was genius! We got our boxes (promptly as scheduled) and started packing. The boxes are plastic totes that are sturdy and big, they held everything! The best part was that we could stack them pretty high and it wouldn’t ruin anything inside. Once the boxes were full, they stacked perfectly inside the moving truck.
We didn’t have to worry about finding yucky cardboard boxes, taping them up, having them crush and break, getting wet and ripping (it was sprinkling during our move) we also didn’t have to deal with finding somewhere to dump all of the empty boxes afterward. We rented the boxes for 2 weeks, which allowed us plenty of time to unpack, while also being a daily reminder to not get lazy, and to unpack because they had to go back in 2 weeks! With our previous moves, we would have full boxes for months, after! When the day came for them to be picked up, we weren’t quite ready, so I simply sent Bryan an email requesting another day and he said «Sure! no problem we’ll be there in a couple more days, take your time» This was great. They showed up, picked up all the boxes and that was that.
I would recommend this service to EVERYBODY! Use Go Green Box for an affordable, efficient solution to packing and moving, without the hassle of cardboard boxes that end up in landfills!

Go Green Box is fabulous! My boyfriend and I recently moved in together. Was so exciting until it hit me that I actually needed boxes. And needed to actually start packing. I began my search for cardboard boxes. Started by going to Safeway n asking for their old boxes, they responded w/​come back another date n time. N they might have boxes. I then hit a few more local businesses for their empty boxes w/​same response. Frustrated. I literally began driving dwn back alleys looking for discarded boxes. I found a few but they were kinda shady. I know this seems like alot of effort but who really who wants to pay for stupid cardboard boxes. They suck.
Then I remember a friend mentioning Go Green Box. I checked them out online, their reviews were amazing. So I decided to give them a try! So glad I did!
My boyfriend and I both rented boxes for our move. They are so extremely awesome! Made our move sooooooo much easier! Thank you thank you Go Green Box!
