Haul Now Hauling & Bobcat Service

Even though my home is outside John’s usual area, he agreed to do work for me and my neighbor. He and his crew were on time, friendly and efficient. He broke up and removed a cement patio cracked by tree roots. He did a good fast job. The price was very reasonable.

Matt and Steve did a great job. Very friendly and professional, everything was as tidy as could be by the time they left.

I needed a complete concrete removal of my back and side yards. I reviewed the Unilocal reviews and decided to give John a call. John is fast, efficient, reasonably priced. He arrived per the scheduled appointment. After taking a look at the amount of concrete to remove, along with measurements I took myself, he gave me an a very reasonable quote, so I agreed to hire him.

Cannot say enough good things about John and this company. He called me back within 10 minutes and our sofa was picked up within 30 minutes. He quoted me a reasonable rate ($ 70) for a large sofa and was cheaper and easier than other similar companies. He was friendly and the entire transaction took 5 minutes. The entire process could not have been easier!

John hauled two truckloads of debris from my backyard. He gave me and held a price based on emailed photos and showed up around the scheduled time. He calls in advance. He is a professional. Just let him do his job and he will perform the task at hand well.

I used their services awhile ago to haul away a HUGE spa from our backyard. The initial price they quoted over the phone seemed reasonable and a little low, but then he saw it and revised his estimate. I was okay with that because the spa was HUGE — I mean at least 10 people could fit in this thing. It was in our backyard when we bought the place and was so old that it couldn’t be fixed with any current parts. John sawed it into pieces and hauled it away. After a couple years of wanting that thing gone, I was completely satisfied with how quickly and professionally he handled it.

Beware!!! They will always give you a lowball price so you choose them. Then this man and his (very small) wife come WITHOUT A DOLLY and try to «reassess» because he was unaware that he would actually have to carry it. Maybe a good place if you are in a house, but if you are in a condo or apartment I would skip this company. They are a waste of time.

After 10 years in my rental house, with two kids going from young children to teens, we had all sorts of unwanted large junk collecting on our property — old bed-​frames, school projects (what, you mean everyone doesn’t have a huge trebucheti n their yard?!), useless bird cages (crappy ones that really needed to be recycled) and sadly the remains of several boxes that had been storing the glass I use for mosaics (they apparently didn’t like being left outside to the elements for several years). Not having the time, energy, or resources to gather it all up and haul it to recycling centers or the dump, I had a look to see what it would cost to get it all taken away.
Chalk yet-​another-​one up for the Unilocal community helping me get it done right! I was impressed with John’s reviews here and gave him a call. He was friendly, professional and on the ball. I called him on Friday, scheduled for him to come give us a quote on Saturday, and he was back at the house bright and early Sunday to take it all away. He and his helper brought two trucks — one was strictly for metal recycling (they collect metal from different jobs ’til it’s full then take it to the metal recycling center). They got everything collected and were on their way in record time.
And as others have said, not only did they take the trash away, they swept and used a leaf-​blower to clear the detritus and pulled weeds along the side-​yard where we’d had most of the junk stashed (to make it easier for his crew to know what was going).
Definitely impressed with Haul Now and will be sure to call John again in the future if we have hauling needs!

Called Haul Now very last minute (found on Craigslist), as we needed lots of yard trimming to be taken away before the fumigators arrived. Making an appointment was easy. He rescheduled his first appointment because the job before us was running late, but he gave us enough notice. He showed up at 6pm that day, and after taking a look at the amount of yard trimmings to remove, he gave us an exact quote. We thought it was reasonable, so we hired him on the spot and within half an hour and a full truckload of stuff, our yards were clear.
Very friendly and professional guy. His wife was also very polite.

I have been working on a remodel and have used Haul Now for numerous items including digging land to extend a foundation, breaking up concrete and hauling it all away. John has always made his scheduled appointments on time and has gone above and beyond what he was asked to do.
Price was very low compared to some of the other bids and I will be having him take care of all my hauling needs. If you are in San Jose and are working on a permitted project like I am, John will take your items to a CDDD-​Certified Facility for recovery/​recycling so you can get a refund.
