Mike Moody Painting

We are extremely pleased with the work that Mike and his crew did for us. They did an extensive amount of work: replaced siding, painted inside and outside, took out a wall air conditioner, dry walled, and touched up random issues. Mike is a perfectionist and stands by his work. He was also extremely patient with us as we seemed to keep finding more work (or changes) for him. His crew was also very prompt and respectful. Mike quite simply did a fantastic job, and we are confident that his top notch, quality work will last us for years. I recommend him highly and would hire him again in a second.

We had Mike paint the outside of our house in 2011. He also finished off two new external doors.
The external house paint color right away was off. Mike used a very green primer which didn’t sit well once the final color was applied. His team painted the rain vents shut on most of the windows. Mike returned to fix this but it still goes to show the issues with his team.
The finish work on the front door. The putty he used wasn’t a color match. The stain job looked fine on day 1 but didn’t last 1 rainy winter.
Now its 2014 and the paint has «worn off» the outside of the house. In fact you can now see the square paint sample areas on the front of the house. And my $ 3000 front door has taken on soaking up water leaving the door permanently water stained.
I would not recommend Mike to anyone.

We just had almost every room, ceiling, and baseboard in our house painted by Mike Moody, and we couldn’t be happier. We heard about him via Unilocal and got a few other quotes… he wasn’t the highest or the lowest quote but we thought he was fair, and we liked the detail in his quote that others did not give. His crew was prompt, very respectful of us (including our toddler, dog, and cat), protected all of our floors & furniture before starting, and never left without thoroughly cleaning up each day. We made a few changes to the original work order along the way — including asking him to repaint one area because we didn’t like how the color turned out (completely our fault, we just picked the wrong color) — and he was very accommodating. Our house looks absolutely stunning, thanks to Mike and his team. If you are looking for an honest guy who is a true professional at what he does, I would look no further than Mike Moody.

Mike and his crew painted the entire outside of the house and included the deck that runs all the way around the house. It had not been painted in 10 years and being completely sided with redwood it needed a lot of sanding and caulking. He found suitible oil-​based stain, which is hard with the current regulations. We could not be happier with the work and would not hesitate to recommend Mike for any painting, inside or out.

I have hired Mike on two occasions in the past 3 years, and he has now painted the exterior, and a good portion of the interior of my home. I am very pleased with the results. My neighbors have hired him as well. Mike’s work ethic is tops: He is honest, personable and professional, and a perfectionist. He was on time (beginning at 8 am) every day, and completed the job on time. He and his crew took great care in prepping the walls, baseboards and trim before painting, and the results show that care. Mike and his crew minimized dust, and cleaned up every day so that my home was accessible during the job. He is reasonably priced, and gave me a written estimate that was fair and accurate, and there were no hidden fees or costs. Mike also offered expert advice about colors and paint for several of the rooms. I am glad that I took his advice and would hire Mike Moody again for painting.

Mike painted a portion of the inside of our house a couple of years ago and we were pleased so we asked him to paint the outside which hadn’t been done for many years. Mike is great — he’s responsive, helped us pick the right color (even went to a house we admired and asked which paint they used), and finished in a timely manner. He did a fabulous job and on top of it he’s friendly, easy to work with, is always on the site and is fairly priced.

I found Mike Moody Painting from Unilocal.I interviewed 6 painters, including those from referrals and a couple from Unilocal.Mike was impressive with his years of experience and his exhaustive client reference lists. I spent a day traveling around town looking at his referrals and those of my «second choice». I ended up speaking with several of the homeowners. I was very impressed with their enthusiasm about having worked with Mike and what I saw of the level of professionalism when looking at the work he’d done. One home had been painted 8 years previously and it still looked fantastic.
Working with Mike and his crew was quite pleasant. They arrived when they said they would and walked me through all the steps of the process. He even helped with color selection. Each day when they left, my property was left tidy and I knew when to expect them again, so I could plan my own life accordingly, which I felt was very considerate.
We are really quite picky and demand the same high level of effort and workmanship in those that we hire as we demand of ourselves. Mike always met my requests with a smile and a nod and each was fulfilled. I would (and have) recommended him highly.

We used Mike Moody to paint our dining room, hallway, living room, front & back door and outside shutters. The team that helped with the work were friendly, clean and professional. Mike made sure we informed, offered advice (when asked), and promised that his would team pay attention to the smallest details. We weren’t disappointed. Our house, both inside and out, looks great! I will use Mike again and will be happy to recommend him and his crew.

Absolutely fantastic guy, true professional, great work. I liked Mike from the very start. I was the general contractor and carpenter for a kitchen remodel we did for one of my family members. The scope was to prep, prime and paint the cabinet boxes, door and drawer fronts as well as the walls, ceiling and the trim. Honestly, I was blown away with the finished product. He and his crew were polite, punctual, didn’t make a big mess and the work was very well done (and I’m fairly particular about things). Would absolutely recommend Mike and his crew for painting projects.

We have lived in our home for 30 years and have used an assortment of painters. Mike was recommended to us this spring for some interior work. We have continued to use him for exterior work as well. He has fixed problems that others did not. I believe his attention to detail, his expertise, and his willingness to work with schedules and time restraints are exceptional. His price is fair and I am very comfortable having his team at my home. We have a few more projects on our to-​do list and happy to have someone like Mike to count on!

Was referred to Mike from our contractor and we could not have been more pleased. From start to finish Mike and his crew were exceptional to work with. They were clean, courteous and great with our dogs. Very conscientious and detailed in the prep work and consulted us along the way to make sure we were completely satisfied. Mike was also very patient with me in the color deciding process. He has a great eye for color!
The house looks great inside and out. We could not be more happy with the project.

Mike has been our go-​to painter for the past 2 years. He is the only painter we’ve ever hired who actually does what he says he’ll do. When he painted the outside of our house 2 years ago, he power washed, sanded, caulked, repaired, primed, and painted. Amazing! The house is beautiful! Clean and sharp.
In June, we had Mike and his crew come in to paint our new kitchen cabinets and the rest of our kitchen. Again, they did the prep work of sanding & caulking, priming, etc. The kitchen came out beautifully. We’re getting raves from people and referring Mike to anyone who asks.
He & his guys are professional, honest (I left my purse, laptop, etc laying around and didn’t even think to worry). They are not only outstanding craftspeople, but really nice. They show up on time, clean up before they leave, I can’t think of anything to complain about.
