Michael is great. SUPER fast to respond and quick and to the point when he arrives! My car battery died in my office parking lot at lunch. Michael came by quickly, swapped in a new battery, and now I can leave the office tonight in a working vehicle. Wahoo! He offers all kinds of services and referrals, but it was a great relief to not have to fuss with tow trucks and such; getting a new battery installed in my office parking lot was SO convenient.

Day after Christmas and my battery decides to give up the ghost. Called Michael and he was here in less then 30 minutes to my home in central SJ to replace the battery in no time flat. Impressive service, very professional and very much appreciated!

The day before my long road trip home, my battery on my VW died. I was so devastated, finding someone who can fit me in on a Saturday AND is familiar with VWs seemed like it was going to be difficult. Michael was able to fit me in right away, and he is not only familiar but also owns a VW. I instantly felt so much better! He was so polite and friendly and I cannot express to you how much it saved my day, weekend, and overall trip. Great guy, I would definitely go back if I lived in the area.

Cars are not simple to understand. The battery was dead in our GMC and everything quit. The doors wouldn’t lock and the key wouldn’t come out of the ignition. Completely dead. To be honest, I don’t like looking under the hood of a car. I don’t understand what’s going on in there and I get a feeling it’s not a place I should be… I called Michael and after asking a few simple questions (even I could answer… kind of) he came right over with a brand new battery. The truck was running perfectly in about 2 minutes.
I need to say, I’ve been freaking out about this for a week. I have no idea why I procrastinated so long. Trust Unilocal to find someone perfect!!!

2004 Scion xB recently hit 200k. I’ve heard great things, and they’re all true. Mike walked me through a prelim of what he thought needed work and followed up through the day with updates. Picked it up and it was like a new car! Ran smoother, and STRONGER. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an HONEST, no nonsense mechanic.

These guys saved me $ 500!
My breaks were squeaking really bad. My previous mechanic gave me the run around for months. Then all the sudden one day they tell me the drums and pads were all the way worn. Also said my control arm was cracked and I needed a new break caliper.
I had a feeling if I got the parts and found another guy I would save some bucks. So I visit Mike. He was busy when I came by but I used that time to go get new break parts. When I came back his assistant /​co-​owner did the work. I left and went and got lunch. When I came back his assistant told me that not only were my breaks fine, so was everything else. He could have easily replaced my breaks since I already bought the parts and I would have been none the wiser.
My breaks were simply cleaned and readjusted. He did not even want to charge me but I insisted to pay him for his time.
Take it from me. These guys are honest and will treat you right.

Mike is an awesome guy! This past Sunday I was stuck as my car wouldn’t start. After calling him he showed up within minutes and he diagnosed the problem as just being a dead battery. He was able to start my car and I followed him to the shop to have a new battery installed. Quality work from even a better guy. I recommend him to all Unilocalers if you ever have issues with your car big or small.

The person buying my Toyota hired Michael to inspect it. He found very loose bolts on one of the rear brake calipers. And I’d just had the car smogged and the oil changed the day before with neither service provider noticing what could have been a serious safety issue.
Michael tightened down the bolts as part of the service and the sale went ahead. Weekend saved!
Did I mention he came by on a SUNDAY?

Michael is the guy for your car needs. He replaced my car brake pads and rotors. He came to my home and did the job. His job was clean, transparent and affordable. He showed up on time and did the job in the time he said it would be done.
Lot of times I wonder what these mechanics do with the car when they keep with them in the garage, but with Michael everything happened in front of me so I actually got to learn a bit about front wheels and brakes.
I’m certainly saving his phone number for my car needs.
