The food is a pretty salty since they want to keep it fresh when they leave outside for a long time.

I only ordered a Cha Trung Hap and they put it in a small Togo container. I paid over $ 6 for a piece that’s the size of the Palm of my hand. RIPOFF. Not only that, there were egg shells in it. The flavor was decent, but not as good as most com tam restaurants. Oh well, now I know not to come here next time

Came home late from a long trip and too lazy to cook. I’ve heard about this fast food place but have not tried out before. Purchased some«Suon Rim Man», «Thit Kho». «Mang xao», «Canh Cai» for the family dinner. My kids are very easy and can eat almost any kind of food but refused to eat these after their first bite. I could not blame them. Everything is so greasy, salty, and tasteless. I guess it is fast food so there is no quality involved in cooking these foods. Very sure I will not be back.

I love coming here when I’m lazy to cook. It’s so convenient to pick up food to go when I’m too lazy to cook. The place is small, but there are some seats available if you wanted to sit down and eat. When you walk in, it’s kind of like Panda Express where they display all their food under a large warmer. I usually always get a soup and some side dishes. My favorite are the following: — Canh Chua Ca — It’s like a sweet and sour soup with tomatoes, catfish, bean sprouts and celery. My absolute favorite vietnamese soup. You have to come early because they usually run out by dinner time. There are days where they don’t have anymore and it just makes me sad. — Thit kho — this is caramelized salty pork. My husband’s favorite, it’s packed with so much flavor and goes good with just white rice. It’s salty, but absolutely mouth watering. — Tofu stir fry — this usually is a stir fry with tofu, baby corn, carrots, cabbage and broccoli. Very tasty if you want to do a vegetarian dish. Overall I like this place a lot. It’s family owned so they are absolutely friendly and very generous.

There food is good. The white rice is dry&sometime it’s burnt. One time I came&I seen a piece of bag of bean sprout in the food. Workers don’t even put in the food neatly is so messy. Some workers are lazy to clean it and they just do a sloppy job cleaning the outside of the togo box. The owner is very friendly.

OK food. think of it as a Vietnamese version of Panda Express but this place has their cooked food longer. Don’t expect to get a lot for your money.

This place is okay. Some of the food are over sauced or it to salty. The rice is dried and some time its burnt. Food here is cheap compared to other Vietnamese fast food restaurant.

This place just opened a couple months ago, I think. spoke to the owners who were pretty nice. Didn’t try the food since we just had lunch, but we ordered a Che dessert and Vietnamese coffee. Both were delicious, and maybe even better than Bambu! Prices are cheaper too. San Jose is a bit far for us, but we’ll definitely come by if we’re in the area!

I been going to Huong Lan or Lee Sandwich to get my Vietnamese dishes fix. However I found this place on Unilocal and gave it a try today. I got a 3 items rice dish for $ 7.50. They have a lot of choices from fishes, meat, vegetable and soup. This is a great deal with good food. I got the carmelize short ribs, green string beans, and green veggie soup. They give so much food consider i’m eating for 2 now and feeding my toddler son we still have some left over. The meat is a bit on salty side just like how my parent cook at home. So glad to try it out and I will be back. They also have a dessert drink section and it all $ 3.50. The place look nice and cleaner than Huong Lan or Lee as well. BTW, I think their hours of operation is 7AM to 8PM.

I love this place! The closest food that can get to my mom’s cooking. The food is South Vietnam authentic, salty and sweet! LOVEIT! I can never get enough of the food here. It’s SOOOCHEAP! MUSTTRY! Not only that, the people here are the NICEST people in the world! They keep apologizing for making me wait, which I don’t mind at all when I need time to pick. Their attitude lightens up my whole day! The girl here is such a sweetheart, she’s the nicest and cutest! Sometimes I come here just because of these people. Always have good experience whenever I come in.

Nice exposure to above par Vietnamese dishes, but the prices do not justify! $ 4 for each large shrimp, and it was inundated with sauce. two thumbs down. Furthermore, the ca kho was too thinly sliced, and portions weren’t even that great for $ 8. When we asked them for the prices, they were pretty lackluster in responding… so I’m guessing they know their prices aren’t exactly bargains. I did enjoy the flavors though :) They clearly know how to make and season their so my palate was pretty pleased overall. Just not really worth the exorbitant prices we paid for. =2&½ stars

Que Huong is pretty much as good as it gets when it comes to authentic Vietnamese fast food. There are a handful of other competitors in it’s category, but none of which that I believe are comparable. I like the variety of a la carte dishes that they offer. They have a lot of staple braised dishes, such as braised pork and eggs and braised pork and shrimps. Their canh chau(sour soup) is really good too and their vegetable dishes are crisp and tasty. All of the dishes are on the saltier and herby side and meant to be served with rice, so don’t forget to get some rice! The prices range, depending on what you’re getting and how much you are getting. The entrees are sold by the pound, about $ 10/lb and I can’t remember how the rice was sold. I think it was $ 2 for serving or plate. The customer service is okay, a little on the pushier side. There are a couple of tables for dining in, but it’s mainly a take-out kind of place.

ok I have had this place bookmarked for awhile. Decided to try it today. Sorry was not impressed. I got pork spareribs with steamed rice. The meat was in a sauce that was ok but tasted like too much fish sauce or vinegar? There was too much bone and not enough meat and on top of that it was cold. The steam trays must be luke warm. I don’t live far from there and got it to go and when I got home it was cold the rice however was still warm. Now I have been don’t think I will go here again.

The boyfriend and I was craving for«home cooked Vietnamese food» and decided give this place a try. The deal here is 2 items for 6 bucks with rice. I got a veggie item, «water spinach» and meat with the bone in the center. the meat was HORRIBLE, it was over marinated and wayyy too sweet/salty. the water spinach was good, can’t screw that up. the boyfriend got the meat with eggs and bitter melon soup. the meat was way too dry but the soup was good. I would still give this place another try because we only tried 4 items out of the many others that they offer. Maybe the day when I went is their off day because most the reviews for this place so far are 4 starts+. I just hope next time the meat won’t be over marinated and dry. Lastly, order everything to go, i think you get more out of it.

for a typical point-n-pick to go food place, the vietnamese food here is really good. It is cooked to perfection in the southern style. Strong, sweet & salty flavors. Designed primarily as a time saver for a family meal. Choose out one savory meat, one veggie and a soup, along with a healthy serving of rice and it’s sure winner. Be careful as some of the savory(salty) meat dishes are meant to be eaten very judiciously with lots of accompanied fresh veggies(such as cucumber, lettuce…)and rice; Otherwise the saltiness will be a little overbearing. Check out the spare ribs, the roasted cornish chicken. Of all the places around it reminds me the most of the delicious alley/street fare that you would typically find in Vietnam. I only wish she would include more fish dishes.

My friend introduced this place to me years ago… like back in 1999, maybe even 1998? My favorite then is still my favorite now — the clay pot pork spare ribs. I crave it sometimes and make my way here. It’s super salty, but very flavorful. I like pouring the sauce over the rice, that calms it down a bit. I also really like the long beans w/tofu. The string beans w/garlic is yummy, too! For $ 6, you get rice and two items. The meat entrees are $ 9/lb. They totally fake weight it b/c the med. one is $ 5 and the big one is $ 9, there is never a variation or change. It’s kinda funny, but whatever, they don’t charge tax either. It’s cash only so remember to bring some. A few bucks gets you a long way here.

For a fast food location, this place is great! The food here is Vietnamese of course and they offer a great variety. The food is also very tasty and home-made. They also offer a lot of different soups.

I love this place. It’s really home-style Vietnamse cooking. 95% of the dishes, my parents actually make at home with minor variations(purely because of regional differences). I love their«thit mam ruoc», it’s very addicting due to its dangerous combination of sweet & salty. I like the«ca kho» there too. All the dishes are very affordable. If you can make rice at home, no need to stress over a meal. Just buy 2 items & make a soup, you suddenly became a delicate demure Vietnamese host/hostess. Bön Appetit!

I gotta give love to this place. Mr. Le took a chance on opening the very first fast food take out Viet place and it worked. I’ve been coming here since it first opened… As a matter of fact, I’ve been in the resturant even before it had food. If you are looking for homestyle cooking but without the work this is the place to go. Everything from the ca to the bitter melon soup is authentic, straight from Mrs. Le’s kitchen to yours. Most people don’t eat here they just take it to go, but sometimes its nice to stop by and say hello. Phong, get your ass back in the business and open Que Hong Fast Food number two… sucka…
