Very prompt is getting the schedule done with short notice. They complete your move with efficiency and ensure your delicate things are handled correctly. They packed all my cardboard boxes with tape which I had not done. They did a good job of dismantling and reassembling the bed frame. Over all satisfied with service.

The Spartan Moving Systems team was fast, friendly, competent and professional from start to finish.
I called them on a Monday and was relieved to discover that they could move me from San Jose to Dublin, CA the following Friday. Equally important, Spartan’s price was fair and competitive.
The three man crew was careful to protect my belongings and my home. All of my property was free of damage after the move.

These guys are good. We hired them to move our belongings from a 1 bedroom apt to another. The 3 workers were fast and efficient. They wrapped all our furniture in blankets (which are free) and moved them safely. We had already packed our small belongings in boxes and it took them just over an hour for the to load all our items into their truck. The whole move including drive time was done in 3.5 hours. All 3 workers were very friendly. The 4th person, who was in charge was not as friendly but the other 3 were super nice. I would highly recommend Spartan for your moving needs.

Moving can be a very stressful time. I have moved over 15 times in my life and never thought of using a professional service. Well this past April I decided to give it a try. I Unilocaled local moving companies and decided on using Spartan Moving Systems. My initial contact was pleasant. I scheduled my move about a month in advanced and had contact with the company during that time. They were always professional and helped me with all my questions and concerns.
On moving day, of course it rained that day, however the three friendly movers that came worked very hard, efficient, and with a smile. The rain did not bug them what so ever. All three of the movers took extra precaution to protect my possessions. I was amazed how quickly they packed up my 4 bedroom house. From the moment they arrived it took about 6 hours for them to load and unload including the 30 min drive time. All of my stuff arrived in perfect condition.
I would totally recommend Spartan Moving Systems. It took a stressful situation (moving) and made it more pleasant than I expected!!! Thank you to the movers who took care of me!

Agile, Meticulous, Professional, Speed! Those are the first words that come to mind when describing my moving experience with Spartan.
My move to LA from SF came about suddenly. I called Spartan on a Friday, received a quote, and they showed up less than 2 weeks later to pack my belongings and move them — a 1 bedroom apartment.
Moves are not easy — e.g. elevators, building access, etc… The guys from Spartan were very accommodating. The truck arrived on time, as promised, and they were in LA at my new apartment the following day!
All of my belongings, furniture, art work, and electronics were delivered in exactly the same condition as they were in when first picked up.
Everyone was very easy to work with — from the rep with whom I first spoke with on the phone to the guys packing and moving my belongings.

Water leakage from the apartment above ours forced us to relocate our 2 bedroom unit ASAP. The following morning I spoke to David from Spartan and explained the situation; instantly a 3 man crew arrived at 11am the same day (Great service!)
Obviously we were not expecting to move and nothing was packed, we had no materials/​boxes/​tape. The guys brought everything we needed including wardrobe boxes that had sturdy hangers and saved us the hassle of folding etc. The crew leader went into the kitchen and individually wrapped every plate, cup, wine glass etc. by himself and didn’t need us to help at all. The crew moved everything out, plus brought it to the new apartment. I barely lifted a finger and the whole process was seamless.
We had excellent service with Spartan Moving and I absolutely would recommend them to a friend or family member.

My wife and I used Spartan to move our one-​bedroom-​worth of belongings from Palo Alto to San Francisco last month. The team was crazy fast and professional. We did a lot of prep work and our stuff was largely pre-​boxed, so your mileage may vary, but the move came in significantly under the quote. I’d happily use them again.

OK people… do you have to move from a nightmare (through tight corners and multiple flights stairs) corner apartment to another nightmare corner apartment (tighter corners and stairs)? I was absolutely DREADING this. I thought «I won’t tell them what the new nightmare looks like.» I completely thought I would be left at the new apartment with my stuff in the street! I called around… had to give my ALL my information (mothers maiden name… Seriously!?) JUST to get a quote 7 times before I talked to FELIX at Spartan. What a great, honest and genuine phone call this was. He quoted a ball park figure (just what I wanted) He didn’t ask me for my left kidney JUST to get a quote… It was great AND they seriously were HALF the price of big name movers. So…
Enter Johnny, Diego and Mario (order in which I met them but all cross the finish line at the same time). Super nice, super attentive. They come in, «no problem». I was like «Sweet» passed the first hurdle. We get to the new place… «no problem». I was like SHUT UP!!! They got all my things in, undamaged, put back together AND offered ideas where the best place to put things (I moved from a much larger apartment). BOOM! Deal done, nothin’ but smiles, completely genuine, no muss– no fuss. Instant gratification. AND it was less then the quoted price! Seriously– they really are great from personality to price. Seriously don’t waste your time and give out your private info — just make this one your first call! Wish I did.
A sincere thank you to Johnny, Diego and Mario. You guys took a lot of stress off of me. THANKS!!! Hope I don’t have to move again but I ABSOLUTELY will call you if I do.

I have moved. A lot. I have moved from coast to coast three times, state to state countless times, and every time I run into the same problem: The moving company.
Well Imagine my surprise when I did my recent move with Spartan and absolutely nothing went wrong. Nothing broken. Nothing lost. No sticker shock. No lowball estimate and high cost final price. No hidden expenses. No $ 20 boxes and $ 15 rolls of tape. No crews taking breaks and padding the time. The longest part of my move was traffic on the 101. The three person crew had me moved and unpacked as if it were a walk in the park.
Seriously folks. I have had all kinds of bad and worse experiences you can imagine with movers. I was expecting something to go wrong, and it didn’t. From my reservation to the final handshake it was a good experience.

We had an amazing move with Spartan moving! The team who helped us was awesome! All 3 movers were very fast and professional. Alex the team leader managed them well and made sure they utilize the time to move all of our stuff fast and safely. We paid hourly, it included fuel, taxes, blanket wrapping and free use of wardrobe boxes (we used 9 of them!). We supplied our own mattress covers and boxes, so no charges there.
All and all great experience! The key to save money when you move and be prepared, and call the right company!

Spartan Moving company is very organized.
I had a very strict moving window from 1 to 5pm on a Sunday afternoon based on the apt HOA’s request. I have called bunch of other moving companies, only Spartan can confirm they will arrive on time. The did, not because they have no other appointments to work on that day, because these guys are strong and quick! The guys called me ahead of time they are coming, and even asked us if they can come earlier to start work.
I live on the first floor, even there is an elevator, these strong guys didn’t use the elevator most of the time, they moved everything by using the stairs with care! No damages, no troubles. They didn’t take breaks. They are very polite and fun to work with as well.
They helped us to set up the heavy bed and helped us to organize the bedroom to make sure we have a nice place to sleep at the night.
I would recommend Spartan to my friends!

After using Spartan moving again I am still impressed with their speed and professionalism.
The staff disassembled larger furniture and packed all the components nicely and reassembled them on site.
We had a 4 – 5 bedroom move and the entire operation was finished in about 6 hours, including a 30 minute drive to the new location.
I definitely recommend Spartan moving.

I moved from San Francisco to Campbell. Felix and David were both very responsive over email, and were able to provide very competitive rates. The movers arrived within 15 minutes of when they said they would get there, and were very quick to begin loading the truck upon arrival. The team of 3 was careful to wrap my couch and shelf in blankets, which prevented any damage. They were also diligent in preventing damage to the apartment hallways or stairways (no elevator for a 3rd floor apartment, thanks SF). These guys were extremely friendly and professional about everything.
When we got to the destination, the team was very helpful in positioning each of the large items in the appropriate room. They also offer free assembly/​disassembly of furniture if you need.
I would definitely recommend Spartan for any Bay Area move.

I did a local move from San Jose to Mountain View. These guys are simply fantastic! We were able to schedule the move less then 24 hours in advance, and the prices were (veeeeeeery) reasonable.
The guys who came over were very professional, very quick, and exceptional @ putting the furniture together after taking it apart.
Would absolutely recommend this company, and will definitely use them for my next move!

Due to me being in FL I was recommend by a friend in CA to use Spartan moving to ship items for my family in the Bay Area to my place in Fort Lauderdale.
Process was fairly smooth, called in & got a price than on pickup dated added and took of a few items but again it seemed it wasn’t a big deal for them. Delivery in FL was 2.5 weeks later but they kept communicating and updating me as they progress …
I didn’t think and actually expected some hiccups but in general it was as smooth as I hoped moving the items here would be, I can thank Debbie for the recommendation and David at Spartan who was there from A to Z.

After my review, David the owner personally contacted me about my experience. He took responsibility for his employees actions and made sure to find a way to make things right.
As David stated, he did try to contact us immediately after the move but unfortunately the updated contact person was not communicated to him by us. So for his defense he was very professional. David does care about his business and the clients and you can see it. He took the time to contact me even when I failed to follow up with him after our initial call.
We did not purchase the damage coverage package which means that legally, David was not obligated to reimburse us for any of the damage, but since his employees failed to be upfront about the damages and all the other troubles, he reimbursed us in full.
I do really appreciate his personal approach to the matter because that was beyond what was expected from him.

I had all my furniture in my garage while I painted the interior of my house. I wanted to get this done before my housewarming party but painting took longer than I thought. Therefore, I had a last minute moving project. I was in a bit of a panic when I started calling moving companies.
I called many places and they all insisted that I needed to hire them for a minimum of 4 hours and two workers. I knew that my job would take only a hour or two since I don’t own much. When I called Spartan Moving they were really nice to me on the phone. They were willing to help me move that same day and it was only a few hours before they came over.
The movers were really nice, helpful, only charged me a reasonable flat fee for three workers for two hours. I was so very happy and grateful for their help.
Because I hadn’t finished putting one of my wood bed frames together, they did it for me, before putting the mattress on top.
I think what I appreciated the most is their professionalism. I had moved all my furniture and they were ready to leave when I realized I forgot to put a rug under my massively oversized and heavy dining table. They didn’t even blink when I said, «Can you please place this rug under my table?» They smiled and said, «Sure.» They were really kind and helpful.
Overall, I would hire them again next time I have to move. Great work ethic, reasonable price and very easy to work with.
