My son was in recovery through Casa Recovery and they are fabulous. My son is a changed person and we are so happy that he is clean and sober. Thank you Casa Recovery!!! Great counselors, staff and leaders… care so much about the clients… feels like family!

After a year and a half, Casa Recovery responded to my review! READERS, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY WHAT CASA RECOVER STATED IN THEIR RESPONSE!
My daughter did not relapse during her recovery time. She has been clean since July, 2012. What I am getting from this response is that she was ejected from Casa because of a money issue! Removed from Casa and placed into sober living facility because Casa thought that the family could not afford treatment! That is clearly what the response says. Although untrue, but what does this say about your facility? All of the reviews are true. Casa Recovery is in it for the money and not the patient’s recovery.
If you have a loved one that is dealing with addiction, steer clear of Casa, they only want your money. Take the time to research and read other reviews. There are many other facilities that are professionally qualified to deal with addiction.

I can’t speak highly enough about our experience with Casa Recovery
My son has recently graduated from their program and he’s been given a chance to have his life back. When he decided to check him self into recovery his life had become absolutly unmanageable. The 6 months before Casa were some of the worst times I’ve ever experienced with my son. Anyone who is looking for a good program I’m sure is going through the same horible nightmare.
When he finally decided to change his life I talked with the people at Casa.
Instantly I knew he would be in the best of hands. The man who helped me shared his journey into, a now many years of a clean and sober, happy life. He years earlier went through this same program. He even drove nearly 2 hours to pick up my son to get him there.
My son is very committed to his own wellness and his future. He’s attending meetings every day and he’s learned to wear his sobriety as a badge of honor. At 24 he has a chance at a future, but as he has said to me, he’s not taking anything for granted.
He learned great skills from Casa and he’s committed.
I am very thankful to have my son back!

Let me start off by saying that this place gave me the tools to save my life. Everyone there is patient, kind, caring, and understanding. The staff from the owner on down are consummate professionals who really care about each client that is there. The owner is in the facility everyday running things behind the scenes and working hard just like the counselors do. The counselors are great at engaging clients and not treating recovery like an assembly line. Every program is different and designed with the clients needs and goals in mind. Not only that, but the program at CASA is based on evidence based practices which is what every treatment center should do. I went to CASA as a broken down, hopeless, chronically relapsing alcoholic and drug addict with PTSD from my military service. I emerged as a new man brimming with confidence and with the proper tools to make my recovery last outside of a treatment center. From the house managers to the intake director to the counselors to the owner CASA Recovery is the best treatment center in Southern California. Once you leave CASA, even if it is not on the best terms, you are still allowed to go there for groups and to speak with the counselors and other clients whenever you want. You truly are part of the family once you have attended the program. I paid a little over $ 8,000 for the first 30 days and less for the next 30. This included massages, gym, weekly therapy with a MFT, one on one counseling, group counseling, trips out into the «real world» for movies, kayaking, boating, baseball games, and whatever other special attention I needed. I am 8 months sober and am still reaping the benefits of CASA by going there on a regular basis if I want to attend a group or just visit. The staff always make time for me and have always treated myself and everyone else I know who have gone there with respect and dignity at all times. If you or your loved one wants a fighting chance at a new freedom and a new way of life send them to CASA Recovery.

We sent our son to this facility, he relapsed about two weeks before completing his 90 days. At that time the owner decided to put him back at another house and explained that house was more expensive so he would only get to stay a week. We decided to put him in sober living which the owner agreed to give us a refund for the 2 weeks he didn’t complete. Of course that never happened and after leaving numerous messages she never returned my call or our money. Now a year and a half later my son went to another rehab facility and comparing the two programs and the fact the owner didn’t follow through with what she promised I would not recommend sending a loved one to this program.

Where do I begin? Well for me it began as a college student drinking and drugging all that my body, brain and bank account could endure. My addiction was in full swing after dropping out. Without getting too graphic I’ll just briefly say this: I was smoking meth and smoking heroin on a daily basis, then I was shooting up the two drugs intravenously every couple hours to «get well» or to «get my mind right,» as I used to put it. I was in and out of jails and other institutions and knew I had a problem. But I was so afraid of losing the one thing, that feeling, that sense of well-​being that I had associated with my drugs.
I was also discouraged because I had tried so many other means of getting off drugs and a couple rehabs; so I was doubtful to say the least. It pleases me to say that CASA provided me with a smooth transition with a comfortable detox. They had counselors that knew what they were talking about, were easy to relate to, and were willing to develop a treatment plan for me. They did not baby me or sugar coat things, and provided me with a realistic approach to recovery; not simply stuff out of a textbook.
Did I mention the healthy food options, the therapy, or the massage? What about fun activities throughout the week? During my stay, we enjoyed whale watching, Angels Games, kayaking, the movies, volleyball matches, comedy shows. The list goes on. They like to switch it up, keeping things interesting, and most importantly teaching us how to laugh and have fun again!
I made a decision to stay for the 90 day program, which was an extension from the original 30. In the last 60 days, called the Green Level, I was given further counseling and assistance trying to reach life goals. In retrospect, I am glad I stayed for the extra bit of time because treatment is not something you should rush through! As I write this, I have almost 7 monthes clean and sober, and most of the people that I went through the 90 day program with, have stayed clean right along with me!
So that’s basically it, in a nutshell, I mean how can I explain, in only a few short paragraphs, how CASA helped me get my life back? The truth is, I think I covered most of the key points I wanted to touch on. Nailed it! Dang I’m good!

If you want the very best for you loved one… be very cautious of this place. First off, rehab is a very tender and emotional thing for anyone to have to go through, it is hard for all parties involved. I was shocked when the staff took our families money and then told us that they would be exiting our child and that we should not pick him up (which I agreed with), would be wasting our money if we sent him to a certain sober living facility that was not associated with CASA (do NOT agree with), and that I should expect that my child would not recover! Be extremely CAUTIOUS of LISA, JESUS, and KRISHNA! You would expect that people helping those in the recovery community would be professionals, but it is highly possible another program without monetary concern is better at the job of recovery.
