The Original Safety For Toddlers

One night while I was in bed, my son came waltzing in with a big smile on his face. Apparently, he’s a natural Houdini and climbed out of his crib and opened his bedroom door. My wife was concerned that he would try to go down the stairs in the middle of the night, so I called Jeff. He came by and showed us a couple of options for baby gates for the stairway. We decided on a mounted gate that was bolstered on brackets that Jeff had made himself. We couldn’t be more happier with what he did. The gate looks very clean, and opens fully on both sides. When the door is completely open, it doesn’t block the entry way at all and the door lies against the wall. Jeff was very professional and also helped baby proof our doors and furniture. I highly recommend Jeff for the quality of his work and his extensive knowledge of child safety. Great experience!

It is impossible for me to recommend anyone more enthusiastically than Jeff. Originally I ignored his reviews because he seemed too far away. Funny enough, another place I thought was within my area said I was out of their area and gave me Jeff’s number instead.
My wife and I have twin daughters that are close to one and in need of baby-​proofing, We were planning on doing it ourselves during the Thanksgiving break, but after hearing a few horror stories from friends that had gone the do-​it-​yourself route, we decided to go professional. And if there was one word that describes Jeff (besides friendly, kind, thoughtful), it is professional.
First off, even though he was on a personal trip, he still got back to me right away. Very quickly, we came to a time that worked for both of us for him to come out and review our plan and what we needed to achieve it. Jeff toured the house, gave suggestions, explained some of his philosophies (why he worked with certain products and not others) and really offered some great insights about how we should set up our house.
After we talked, he did some measurements and had an estimate of price and possible days he was available to come out. He insisted we think about it, both what items we wanted and if we wanted to make the expenditure. My wife and I ALWAYS talk about things like this privately, before making a decision, so we really appreciated a person who makes this a way of business. BTW, our discussion after he left amounted to a few seconds.
Jeff was there at the agreed upon day and time. One of the most interesting things about Jeff is that he is a very mellow, interesting person to talk about, but at the same time, passionate about creating a workable safe place for children and on top of things. It is easy to get one or the other from a person, but pretty rare to get both. Not only did the drawers, gates, plugs and the rest work great, but it was done very stylishly.
If you need baby proofing for your home, you have to give Jeff a call. He cares about what he is doing for your child and home. He is more than reasonable about pricing (he wanted to round down from a price that I couldn’t in good conscience agree to, it was minimal, but I still needed to round up so I could sleep well at night) and is great at being where he says, when he says and keeping in contact about questions you might have.

After trying to install safety gates by myself I realized it’s not as easy as I thought. My stairway is tricky and doesn’t have a traditional design. There’s walls, posts, rails, corners, etc… none of them offering a simple solution to install gates for my very active 13 month old. So I turned to google to find some help. Enter Jeff! I found Jeff online & I’m so glad I did. He’s a very busy guy but he responded same day to my message. I sent him some pictures of my stairway & within a week he was at my house to install 2 safety gates upstairs & downstairs. Beautifully done. And very very sturdy! He knows his stuff when it comes to baby proofing & he supplies all of the equipment. Highly recommend him.

Exceptional job! I have had Jeff come over for several jobs including putting on latches, gates & plexi glass. Always pleasant & is in constant communication with me. Definitely recommend Jeff although he is already too busy as it is.

Jeff did an amazing job setting up gates and making our home safe for our daughter. He gave great suggestions and was fair in his estimate. He was good at telling me what I must do and what I can leave for later. He did install some plexiglass which turned out great and found us a great price. I suggest calling him and having him do the work.

He’s definitely an expert when it comes to baby proofing because he offers solutions and viewpoints that I would never even consider. I know many people think it’s just installing a couple gates, but his work is extremely thorough and worth the extra cost of having a professional do it right.
For our condo, he installed gates, safety latches and custom plexi covers for our media center. When we move I called him right away and he helps us setup our old gates for our new home. He was able to come up with great solutions on how to set things up with the best use of our space and existing gates. He even helped us gate our backyard which has a pool and staircase.

It took me almost a week to do my own kitchen cabinets with some magnetic latches I found on Amazon. The thought of doing the whole house was really not appealing to me. So when a friend recommended Jeff I called him right away. Jeff’s a great guy. Super casual and cool. We exchanged a few txt messages and he showed up on time at the agreed upon time.
One thing I noticed about him right away was he was genuinely concerned about my toddler’s safety. He wasn’t just trying to push product on me. In fact he talked me out of a lot of stuff I was thinking of having installed. He reminded me that this is about the safety of my kid and not about creating an impenetrable fort.
He gave me an estimate of items which was very reasonable including labor.
We picked a time to get it done. He came by the house exactly on time, knocked out the work in under 3 hours and actually ended up charging me less than the estimate. I can’t believe how quickly he installed everything.
All the stuff he installed is good quality, simple to use stuff and I couldn’t find any of it on Amazon.
He stands behind his work and gave me his cell phone number to call anytime I need a replacement part of something upgraded or changed. I will definitely be using him again when the little guy gets into higher level stuff.

Jeff is a busy guy! Make sure you book him ASAP. Jeff came over today and installed our upstairs hallway child proof gate as well as our master bathroom child proof gate. He also replaced all of our standard metal door stoppers with one piece units. Guess what my son Liam grabbed when we first moved in? He had the removable white cap from the door stopper in his mouth so purchasing these one piece door stoppers was a must since these do not have any removable parts!

Jeff did an awesome job. He did our entire kitchen, childproofed the stair case rails with acrylic, and most of the bathrooms in the house. He is very knowledgeable and very honest. He got the work all done on time. He never pushes his own products. He is more than happy to install whatever products you might have already bought. His pricing was super competitive and you could tell this is what he is passionate about. This is his own business so you won’t get some tech dispatched to you that just does their job. Jeff installed four gates, some magnetic safety locks, and also secured some bookshelves in our house. The gates not only look so much better than the ones we bought from Babies R Us, but also are so much more functional. We are very happy with everything he did. Jeff at Safety For Toddlers is the best! He has now helped us with three different homes, and we have been very happy every time. He is passionate about his work, knows his stuff and is reasonable. He shows up on time and he guarantees his work to last. It is totally worth hiring Jeff to install the babyproofing rather then spending hours picking out and buying all the supplies and installing everything yourself. Money well spent!

Jeff baby-​proofed our home 3 years ago and everything has held up well for our two girls. I couldn’t recommend Jeff enough and am posting now since some friends just asked for the number for our baby proofing professional.

I called a few baby proofing companies as far as LA and this was the cheapest. I wasn’t necessarily looking for cheap as my kids’ safety is what’s most important but Jeff was the first person to get back to me and came and installed just a few days later. He was awesome to work with, provided pictures of previous installs and walked us thru exactly what we were getting. He also took the time to go over some other products that are commonly installed but added no pressure to buy which I really appreciated. I loved that his passion/​priority was about making a home safe for babies and not about making money. At this point he installed 2 gates for our stairs but we will absolutely be calling him as we need additional baby proofing. Highly recommended!

We just used Jeff to baby proof our house. He was so great! Jeff was thorough and beyond knowledgeable on all things safety! He installed a few gates for us and baby proofed the kitchen. Jeff even fixed one of our cabinets in there (for free) that had been broken for months! He made us feel safe in our home with our new little guy and that kind of peace of mind is priceless! We first hired Jeff to babyproof our Irvine condo after baby #1 arrived in 2007. We wanted to latch everything and had a complicated gate install (small rotunda at stairwell) which Jeff was able to design and make the area safe beautifully. He toddler-​proofed our home when we moved to Tustin in 2008. Baby #2 arrived in 2013 and Jeff came back to re-​latch, install new electrical outlet covers, etc. I appreciate that from the moment he walks into our home that Jeff identifies any and all hazards while also offering practical no-​cost solutions instead of preying on parents’ fear and seeking to sell you on every gimmick out there.
