History

Established in 1989.

Our Boston wholesale branch started in 1989 as a specialty hardwood floor distributor in the North East. It was followed with the opening of 6 other locations in order to increase the purchasing power and to deliver the best value of quality hardwood floor to commercial customers.

Our San Leandro outlet exclusively collects thousands of selected quality hardwood floors from different distribution branches. The floors come in 2500 sqft or less each item and sell at wholesale costs to avoid different lots of same item mixed with different gloss tolerance and color variation while distributing to commercial customers of ours.

We are also an authorized dealer carrying over 65 national brands of hardwood flooring and laminate flooring.

I have had nothing but great experience with these guys. Start date was promised and kept, same as the finished date. The installer work sat and Sunday to make sure the job will be done on Monday as they promised. The price is very competitive and customer service is also superb! Will do business with them again!

Prices are great, though that really only applies if you choose their in-​house brand. That said, it’s great quality. We got solid hardwood for the price on engineered at other spots, and they were very flexible working with our schedule to get installation done.
When it came to installation, they were quick and efficient. The «showroom» won’t blow you away but it gets the job done and the service is good.
Very pleased with the outcome on 2,600 SF of hardwood!

I just had my floors done by these guys over the winter holiday. The whole process went smoothly. The choices in laminate seemed nicer than other places as well. The installers worked very hard to get the floors done as fast as possible. So far there have been no problems with the floors or complaints from the downstairs neighbors about the noise. We had carpet before, and they hauled it away as well.
It was stressful to have the furniture in my condo in disarray, and it took a few days to get everything back to normal, so I am so glad we did not try to do the job ourselves, it was totally worth having the floors installed.
AND, My floors look amazing.

We spent several weeks looking at various stores and in the end chose Factory Direct Floor due to price. They are noticeably cheaper and have a really broad inventory. We purchased about 1600 sq ft of birch engineered hardwood flooring from them on close-​out.
We had some problems with the 3rd party installer they used, but they made it right. We were satisfied with the flooring once the job was done — and it was a good 50% cheaper than everything else we looked at.

Based on the prices, we thought we were walking into some sort of scam, the prices seemed too good and the warehouse too remote. We looked at close to 14 different hardwood floor suppliers, to provide and install around 1,500 sqft of flooring in our 1907 San Francisco home. The floors were by no means an easy install job, over the last 100+ years, the flooring had settled in many different directions with plenty of squeaks coming from the sub-​floor.
In the end, we couldn’t be happier with the quality, price and scheduling that Factory Direct provided. The price was easily 20% lower than anywhere else we looked, they met every installation deadline and provided us with a stunningly beautiful squeak free hardwood floor.

The gentleman that owns Factory direct Floor is a great guy to work with — no hassle, very informative, and really takes his time to explain things. The warehouse/​showroom itself is truly a hole in the wall but they have a great selection of engineered and solid wood floors. We ended up purchasing ~1700 square feet of solid wood flooring and got an über great price. I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to remodel/​upgrade to hardwood flooring as the selection but moreso the service is excellent!

Classic Bait & Switch.
I spoke with them, confirmed and reconfirmed pricing, then when I wanted to buy (hours after they confirmed the pricing) they all of a sudden had «just sold out» of ALL SIX of the choices!!! but they where quick to offer other options at 40−60% higher.

I am suprised that this business had not been reviewed. I had looked all over the bay area for solid Santos Mahogany. I found this place have the best price and most genuine product (their santos Mahogany is name brand and is from brazil, vs. a lot of other place have santos mahogany but are from other regions of south america, thus are less prefered). I have found wee lee, the salesman, to be very knowledgeble and willing to help. Overall, I enjoyed my buying experience. Will definitely be back!
