Amazing Nails

Amazing Nails as been doing a great job on my nails for four years. The gel nail application lasts on my nails for a few weeks. I adore the staff and am very grateful to have them in Marin. It is a small family business which really matters for me. I feel that the prices charged are very fair for the level of service received. I am grateful to have this business in Marin. I take my daughters here when they visit from out of town. I highly recommend this business.

Love this salon! Wonderful and professional young women that do a consistent and beautiful job on my acrylics every time (so hard to find in marin. and at a very reasonable price). I have become a loyal customer for over a year now and I couldn’t be happier.
The salon itself is on the smaller side but it is flooded with natural light and there isn’t any odor of chemicals or nail polish. They have an amazing selection of gel nail polish and OPI. I know they also carry Essie and organic polish. I have literally sat down, pulled up a cute nail design on Pinterest, shown them, and they replicate it perfectly every time!
The staff is super friendly and engaging and they have free wifi and lots of magazines. A tip though, no credit cards. I think they prefer cash but debit and check seem to be okay too. Other than that, they are closed on Tuesdays now (no big deal for me!) and they get busy so I would recommend calling ahead, especially in the afternoon.

I went in for an acrylic and eyebrows. My acrylics are fine, but I am very disappointed with my eyebrows. First off, it doesn’t take much for me to be happy with my eyebrows or nails. Which is why I’m very open to trying new places because I’m easy to please. Anyway, usually you get waxed, plucked, and trimmed, or at least that’s what I always get and expect. All she did was wax way too many times, burned me, and even left some wax on my eyelid when I left that still hurts.
Then she told me she was finished and when I looked at it, i barely saw a difference. She didn’t pluck so there were so many stray hairs I specifically wanted plucked. The length of my hairs were not cut down and I could’ve done a better job plucking and trimming them myself, which I am not good at. Then she proceeded to tell me it was $ 12… $ 12 for barely doing anything? Like I said, I am not hard to please, but the eyebrow job was not acceptable.
Also, it totaled to $ 47 for acrylics and eyebrows. I have NEVER spent that much for nails and eyebrows. Never coming back.

Change of ownership here to a much younger generation who aren’t quite as saavy in business. They have added a couple of pedicure chairs but put them on homemade wooden risers that just barely accomodated the chair; the chair wasn’t bolted or in any way secured to the riser. Last pedicure I received — the gal who painted my nails was a friend of the owners and did not have her license. Beware of the very narrow ledges they have put all the nail polishes on; the polishes can very easily come crashing down if you don’t get on the ledge just right. unfortunately it’s time for me to find another salon.

Update: I’m so bummed, they switched to cash only so I’ve started going elsewhere :(I just never have cash on me and it’s nice to not have to make a separate trip to the ATM to pick up cash before I go (which I inevitably forget to do so have to make a quick trip after my nails are done and then come back). I understand that small businesses have a hard time with credit card processing fees, but there are a ton of great mobile payment options out there now, and this is a digital world. People just don’t carry cash on them anymore.

I came across this place on google they are number on there and so I tried it and I love it the ladies are sweet and they took care of me when I was pregnant and after I had my baby. The prices are great and they always have deals going on and the young girls are very talented they can do any design that you want and it’s a great job.

This place is TERRIBLE!
I went in and got a gel manicure LESS than a week ago, and its already peeling off. REALLY bad peeling off! Its absolutely ridiculous, and I would NEVER recommend this place. I’ve actually been multiple times, and each time they mess up something, but I kept going back in hopes they’d clean up their act.
Also, they say they take credit cards, and I’ve paid with a card in the past, but this time they refused my card and made me pay by a check. WTF?
Ridiculous.

I think this place was nice and friendly, I went in to get a gel manicure and there were a ton of choices so it took me a few minutes to pick my color. I hardly ever get my nails done so this was a treat for me. Everything turned out nice and I loved the color. It looked like the lady did a nice job on my nails, but after 2 days they started to peel right off my nail! I was very angry and was going to call but I am from out of town so I could not go in and get them redone. I really like this place, but I think they just need to make sure the nails either cure longer under the light or get a stronger UV light. Just super disappointed because I only get my nails done one or twice a year and I couldn’t go back to get them fixed.

They are friendly and take their time even when busy. Owner/​manager is especially nice. Also, you can’t beat the prices. $ 14 manicure!

The customer service here is amazing. They are very accommodating for walk ups and I even changed my mind half way through and decided to get a pedicure in addition to my gel manicure and they were very nice and got the chair ready and my feet were being pampered and painted just moments later. They have a great selection of gel colors with easy to match regular colors for your toes. Unless my manicure chips within a few days, I will be back here soon, no question about it!

This place deserves a 5-​star rating because my nails (over a week later) still look like perfection. I got a mani-​pedi here for $ 35 and it was worth every penny. On top of that, everyone was incredibly kind and gracious, despite being busy. I’m already looking to book my next visit.
It took me awhile to find a good salon in the area, but I am so happy my search lead me here.

Not impressed with the service here…
Mani/​pedi is $ 35. Small color selection in the salon unless you do gel. One of the ladies (I think her name was Kimmy) hassled me to hurry up and pick a polish color because she had double booked. Very quick service– both hands and feet took 35 mins (the ladies rushed to get to the next customer). After they finished, they walked me over barefoot to the waiting area where I would sit to dry off. I understand you have to attend to waiting customers, but I don’t appreciate walking barefoot on a visibly dirty salon floor just so you can quickly free up one of your chairs.
If Kimmy was more pleasant when I first walked in, I would have probably left satisfied. But instead I felt rushed the entire time I was there. Not at all the relaxing experience I was hoping for.

There is no better place for a manicure pedicure.
I live in San Francisco and actually drive to Marin to have Danielle and her team do my nails and toes; best selection of polishes, very thorough mani/​pedi, and the polish lasts over a week (regular polish).
What’s even funnier is that I live a few blocks from several nails salons in SF, and they’re all much cheaper in price, but I won’t compromise quality for convenience.
I’d also recommend calling ahead: they’ll let you know if they’re busy.

I just moved to Marin County a couple of months ago, and have needed a place to get my nails done. I came to Amazing Nails based off of the Unilocal reviews, and I am extremely satisfied with the results. The women of this establishment are beyond friendly, and do what they can to meet your expectations and keep you as a returning customer. I got acrylic nails put on about a month ago, and there were no questions that I was going back for a fill. They were able to do the designs that I requested, and have a HUGE selection of gel nail polish. I highly recommend Amazing Nails to anyone in the area looking for quality service at reasonable prices.

This is a fantastic, no nonsense nail salon. Weekday mornings are a good time to enjoy no waiting and a quiet peaceful spa. Nothing too fancy, but clean and beautiful nails! The girls are fantastic. Be nice and they will accommodate you. They accept walk ins but for the best service, always wise to make an appointment.

Not so amazing, actually. I came here based on a recommendation from a friend and I wasn’t very happy.

Deep cuticle cut on my toe hurt a lot. There was no apology.
Service was friendly and they took their time. I probably won’t be back.

Very friendly staff and comfy setting. I was very happy with my pedicure, $ 25, and will be going back for my next one!

I’ve lived here in San Rafael for the past 3 years and have bounced around from nail salon to nail salon not really incredibly blown away by any particular salon, that is till I strolled into Amazing Nails yesterday to get a mani and pedi. The ladies were so welcoming and sweet. Almost immediately asking what my name was and introducing themselves.
I didn’t realize they were going to be closing in an hour and they still took me and did an amazing job on my mani and pedi. Typically we all know the standard massage (which is always my favorite part) but these ladies went a little more above and beyond with a hand, arm and neck massage! Amazing and very relaxing.
I would definitly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, friendly salon who’s work is clean and polished

Newly back to town, I confessed to a couple of friends that it was beyond high time to get to the nail salon. But where to go? They both said to try Amazing Nails.
Here I am, a week later, loving that the facelift Danielle gave to my fingers and toes remains intact. For just over $ 40 including tip, with great service, adequate no-​meter parking, and quality polish, I bet I’ll be back.

Connie is a single manicurist so if your going here please try to make a phone call see that she is not booked and go on off times to help with your time management.
She does a fabulous job for a very reasonable price. She is also very honest about color choices and helps me with ideas about what I want as far as color at the time. She is able to make me comfortable here where at other nail places I feel rushed and pushed like an assembly line. I like going here so much I almost want to keep this jewel a secret but her craftsmanship needs to be shared.
The selection of gel colors is wonderful she has the OPI gel and I recommend trying some of the trendier colors because so many people compliment me after I get something like purple or blue! She does not chop or whittle my cuticles down to nubs and fray like so many other manicurists do. She keeps music playing in the background which is current and relaxing.
So call in get an appt and have a quality mani/​pedi in a chill environment.
