History
Established in 1995.
Since 1995 VMI has designed many residential projects in Marin, including houseboats, hundreds of restaurant projects and dozens of retail centers, as well as banking facilities, public non-profit facilities, fitness centers, and offices, to name a few. VMI has architects licensed in California, Oregon, Washington, and Utah.

Hugh M.
Business Owner
Hugh Murphy has been a licensed, practicing architect for over 20 years, and is currently the managing principal architect. He has worked on a wide range of projects from custom homes to large and small scale commercial construction. What brings him joy is to work through difficult structural and planning challenges, and to create win-win solutions for his clients and all those involved with the work. His related professional experiences are client representation in city and county public hearings during the project approval process, coordination with city and county building officials during the building permit and construction process.
