American Academy of Rhythmic Gymnastics

My daughter has done rhythmic gymnastics with Marina for the past 8 months. Marina has been extremely supportive and has routinely gone out of her way to spend extra time and energy to help my daughter achieve her goals. I highly recommend Marina as she pursue sher coaching endeavor with the same care and empathy that a parent would with their children.

I have watched Marina teach both in the community center, as well as private classes in her home studio. I think she’s a great teacher to start on gymnastics, she emphasizes basics and her approach is clearly based on a classical teaching. This is a sharp contrast to a lot of tumbling schools/​gyms where hundreds of kids are packed in huge warehouse like spaces, and followed around by Junior instructors; who are barely 18. A lot like fast food joints, then move large volumes of kids through without much attention to basic techniques, and the kids love it because they’re bouncing around and having fun, but there’s a lot more to learning gymnastics. Anyway I don’t want this to sound like a commercial for AAR, and I will update my review periodically, but for now I definitely recommend Marina especially for younger children.
