Catering for All Occasions

We worked with Pascual and team for a business meeting. They catered breakfast, lunch and snacks for 2 days. Everyone was raving! This was something special. We host meetings at our technology center frequently. They will be my go-​to place for catering these meetings from here on out!

We had an awesome experience with Gloria and Pascual for our elegant wedding at the Bently Reserve in SF. From the moment we contacted them to the day of our wedding, they were phenomenal. Pascual was prompt in replying to all my emails and concerns. Due to our venue having strict rules and regulations on outside caterers, Pascual and the company had to pay out of pocket just to be able cater our wedding. Something they did not charge us for and took it upon themselves to absorb the cost. Now That is excellent customer service and something we did not expect! Thank you!
As for food, wow! I wish I could give them 6 stars! We received so many compliments about the food from so many of our guests! Even the picky eaters were commenting on how delicious the food was! For the high quality of food and the amount we had, the price was reasonable! Guests who were at our wedding were wanting them to be the caterer for their Christmas parties!

Claudia, Gloria, Maria, and their team are amazing to work with and we simply couldn’t be more pleased. They helped us with a 90^th Birthday celebration at a private home, with 60 guests. From planning to clean up, they were incredibly professional — and also warm and gracious in their understanding of the significance of this event to family and friends in attendance. The set up was lovely and thoughtful, and the food was delicious and plentiful — without being wasteful. We highly recommend Catering for All Occasions and would be delighted to work with them again. Gloria and her staff did an outstanding job providing a delicious gourmet meal within our budget for an important high school event with business professionals in attendance. We planned it all within a week — Claudia was so efficient! The food was expertly prepared, delivered in chafing dishes with warmers, and delicious and plentiful! Our menus consisted of

— almond green beans
— freshly baked breads

Catering for all Occasions was one of the preferred caterers at our reception site. I’m really glad that we were encouraged to work with this vendor because they really helped make our wedding amazing.
I’ll start by giving individual reviews of the people I worked with from Catering for All Occasions…
Pascual was the first person to reach out to me when I contacted this company. He didn’t make promises he couldn’t keep, but was willing to work with our budget. Although the company does not offer individual tasting sessions, I promise you will get a good sense of what they have to offer during their group tasting events. We stuck around after the tasting and Pascual made sure to answer all our questions before we left.
Claudia joined us the day of our walk through at the reception venue. We also had a follow up visit at the Santa Clara office to make sure the linens and set-​up were perfect. I really appreciated her willingness to meet with me on a non-​business day. Her help and reassurance the days before the wedding really meant a lot to me. She was sincere and by the end of the meeting felt like family.
Gloria is the chef and is very talented. I had some specific requests when it came to the menu. She even whipped something up for me a few days after the group tasting to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. Gloria– I got sooooo many compliments on the Poblano stuffed chicken! Thank you for going above and beyond to meet my food expectations! During the wedding Gloria came up to me to make sure everything was okay which I really thought was special!
The FOOD!!! ALL my guests said the food was delicious! During cocktail hour we had an assortment of cheese, crackers, and Mexican style fruit (limes and Tajin included). We elected to go with a sit down dinner versus buffet. I got the impression that this caterer’s forte is buffet style events; however they executed a sit down dinner very well. The Mediterranean salad was a very refreshing start to the meal. We had 3 options for our guests main course 1.) duet platter Poblano stuffed chicken (guest favorite!) and Filet Mignon with Chimichurri sauce 2.) Chipotle Salmon with Pineapple Salsa 3.) Stuffed Bell Pepper. Sides were Peruvian mashed potatoes and grilled veggies. We also had a «late-​night snack” — FRESH made quesadillas (tortillas were homemade) and BBQ pork sliders.
Although Catering for All Occasions is equipped to provide staff for a bar they do not supply alcohol. We opted to purchase our own liquor and it ended up being more problematic than I anticipated. I would recommend to anyone planning on having a full bar for a large event to consider hiring an outside company for your bar needs. If you plan on serving just beer and wine, then stick to Catering for All Occasions staff.
One word of feedback… Unfortunately most of our guest didn’t get any cake. This might be because so many people were enjoying themselves on the dance floor once the cake was served. I was told by some of my guests that the servers weren’t willing to leave a slice of cake to unoccupied seats. Because of this so much cake went to waste. I’d suggest that in the future the servers be willing to distribute cake to every seat regardless if someone is sitting there. Or maybe they can set up a small table near the bar/​common area where people can grab a slice instead.
Overall Catering for All Occasions is a one-​stop-​shop for your large event (wedding) needs! Their customer service is professional. They offer chairs, linens, chargers, tables, and glassware at very reasonable prices. The food is quality and perfectly prepared!
I can’t wait for another big party to plan so that I can work with Catering for All Occasional all over again! Thank you all!

We worked very close with this business and we could not be any more satisfied with their service. We booked them for our graduation, which held 800 people, and both catering (gloria) and venue decorations (Claudia) helped us tremendously. The team definitely puts their best effort into meeting budget and having flexibility. 100% recommended for future customers, you will not be disappointed.

Good service, amazing food, they work with you at every step of the way and will try to accommodate to your budget which was pretty good since ours was pretty small. I word of advice is to clarify everything a few times. We kind of had a misunderstanding with the different people that coordinates the events but overall we had a good experience.

One second…

Claudia and Gloria decorated and catered my wedding in November and I believe they were heaven-​sent! They were so sweet to us since we first met them, they really worked with our budget and went above and beyond what we expected. Claudia decorated the Starlite Banquet for our reception and it was absolutely beautiful. She used champagne linens, gold plates and chiavari chairs, candles, and created beautiful flower arrangements. It was classic and romantic, just as I had asked for. Gloria also outdid herself with the food and the service was impeccable. We served her delicious Italian food and there were so many people who told us it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding! I had a guest list of 350 but I still wanted an organized event and Gloria’s staff helped a lot with that. They were very professional and assisted my guests with arranged seating as well as making sure dinner was served promptly and efficiently. It’s true that Catering for All Occasions has the best food and décor, but what makes them so special is Claudia and Gloria’s attentiveness to their clients. They treated my husband and I like family and we are forever grateful to them. They made our dream wedding come true! =)

Gloria and Claudia are an AMAZING team! They were one of the first vendors my husband and I booked during our wedding planning, not because we didn’t look around, but because we didn’t need to! At our first meeting, my husband and I looked over at each other and knew that we wanted to work with them. Gloria gave us a lot of insightful advice about wedding details and costs. She never bombarded us to order more than we needed; in fact, she found ways to SAVE us money! The amount of thoughtful care and attention to detail really blew us away. During the wedding planning process, I was extremely absent-​minded and preoccupied with work and was unprepared for our first walk-​through. Not only was Claudia not upset with me, but worked extra hard to make my vision a reality! She went out of her way to find the perfect fabric for our tables, and I am so incredibly grateful. On the day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and I owe it all to this fantastic team! There is a reason why they’re rated so highly. They are PROFESSIONALS. But more importantly, they truly do care about you, your family, and your special day. I cannot recommend anyone more highly!

This place has the really phenomenal food. Had a great time with our clients, Pascual and Gloria the chef. The Barbacoa is out of this world, and the Chicken Poblano was also out of this world. Both are top winners in my book. I really had a great time at the tasting and know the experience at the wedding will be one to remember.

Gloria, Claudia and Pascual catered my husband’s 50^th birthday party and I have to say I was completely impressed. They were extremely professional and responsive. Gloria allowed us to taste some of her food prior to event so that I could make a choice from her dishes. The food was outstanding! I am still not sure how she was able to serve perfectly cooked tri-​tip to 70 people without the meat becoming well-​done! She and her team did an outstanding job. The fresh tortillas were a real treat. I can highly recommend this caterer and I will definitely use them again.

Gloria’s business caterered our fundraiser in October 2014. This time we had 340 guests. She did a fabulous job. Her staff are incredibly efficient, calm, polite, all the things you want from catering staff. The set up looks lovely. She also provided all the tables, chairs, and linens, and everything was perfect. Great price too.

Gloria did an excellent job for my company’s dinner event. She met my budget and even went beyond. By the end of dinner, we had so much food left over that my colleagues and I had enough for dinner at home the next night. Some of the items we ordered included rice pilaf, stuffed portobello mushrooms, and lemon butter salmon, all of which were delicious. She and her staff were very attentive and are definitely recommended for company events.

My wife and I were lucky to have Catering for all Occassions cater our wedding this past July. Gloria, Claudia, and Elizabeth were incredibly helpful throughout the entire planning process. The staff that were there on wedding day were all top notch, and we are so glad they were part of our special day.
We highly recommend this company for all of your catering needs or events, they are responsive, communicate well, and you can tell they are passionate about making your event special and go off without a hitch!
Plus, the food they make is AWESOME. WE highly recommend the chicken tingas, shrimp ceviche, the chicken parmesan, the pork, the salmon, and the café de la Olla! Delicious stuff.

Gloria and her team did an amazing job for our wedding this past Saturday. My husband (fiancé at the time) and I sent them so many emails to ask questions and make updates and they were always responsive and made the updates immediately.
Our positive experience started off with the food tasting. We tried different dishes and they were all delicious. We set up a preliminary menu and updated from there.
For the event we had arepas, yucca fries, fresh fruit, and chips and salsa for our cocktail hour.
For our entrees we went with the harvest salad, pork roasted in plantain leaves with mango salsa, poblano chicken (guest favorite), black beans, plantains, and homemade tortillas. The tortillas were a total hit and our guest loved them.
The special touch was that later in the evening we had fresh quesadillas for our guest. They absolutely loved this! After a few drinks and a ton of dancing they all told us that the quesadillas hit the spot.
We received so many compliments on the food. One of out friends is a chef and he told us that this was the best food he had ever had at a wedding. That was a huge compliment because he can be a little picky.
We also worked with Claudia for the flowers and all our rentals. There was an issue that morning with my bouquet, but Claudia was honest and made me a new bouquet which was delivered to me before my pictures. All of the arrangements were beautiful and exceeded my expectations.

Gloria and Claudia were top notch! We could not have asked for anything more. They both provided a stress free experience and were completely professional the entire time.
Our guests are still raving about the food and the table set ups. Thank you for making our day so beautiful and memorable. We will be using your services every chance we get.

My wedding was on May 24^th 2014 I had heard of catering for all occasions from my cousin who had hired them for their SJSU Chicano Commencement ceremony in 2011 and I had also seen an add of theirs in the 15era magazine. I quickly checked them out and decided to make an appointment to have a consultation. On my first visit I went with my sister the MOH and we met with Gloria and she explained everything I needed to know about more or less the dinner part of my wedding day. from appetizers to the main dinner portions. Although they couldn’t exactly give a actual estimate of the total cost she kind of broke down the price per person and the linens to the silverware to the servers. They also have chiavari chairs which was one on my splurges. SO after that appointment Gloria said come in for a tasting and you can make a better decision. I went with my mom and my sister (MOH) the food was BOMB​.COM! the strawberry salad to the spicy mashed potatoes. EVERYTHING was great! Although I didn’t try the appetizers which for me were shrimp ceviche and Mexican style sliced fruit, they were extremely good! everything was fresh and extremely tasteful! Which then led me to book ASAP!
Day of the wedding!
My husband and I arrived to our venue (Starlite banquet review in the works) we made our way to our head table and BAM!!! we had our very OWN server! he came over to us right away with our appetizers and drinks from the bar which was being run by the venue staff. I honestly didn’t expect to have a very own server even my husband liked that! (he gave me props on that lol) When we got our food my husband inhaled it! It might have been cuz we were hungry, but I think cuz it was absolutely Delicious! Even my picky Dad and Husband (Typical Mexican Men) were impressed with the food and the portions/​selections. As for me I wanted to save my plate and eat it later once I wasn’t stuffed lol

Everyone went back for seconds even thirds! After the wedding I kept getting comments and calls about the food and the service of the servers. Guests were interested in the who they were!
By having Gloria cater your event would be the best choice you can make. She took care of everything! One thing I liked, since I went buffet style she made sure everyone got everything NOT either, or of the main entrees guests got EVERYTHING if they wanted. Gloria also explained that there would be a time cut off for the food just because of sanitary reasons, which was fine by me! The wait staff wrapped up the remaining food for my mom to take home.

Catering for all occasions also offers décor/​flower centerpieces BUT her sister Didn’t seem interested in trying to get together for and estimate. I ended up going with someone else for that section of the wedding planning. (allure flower décor) that why I gave 4 stars.

I’ve hired Cartering for All Occations multiple times for different type of events and have more events scheduled with them because they do such a stupendous job every time.

* 75^th Birthday party event in March for 250 people,
* Graduation celebration May 2012 Severed an excellent Mexican buffet for 150 people
* They’ve also catered sit-​down dinners for smaller groups.

They have totally exceeded our expectations every time and I love them for these reasons:
#1 The food is superb. Super fresh, flavorful and delicious. Whether it was passed elegant appetizers, delicious Mexican food, or more refined dishes for the dinners. It’s not fussy or overly-​complicated. It’s just unique and tasty and so many of our guests commented on how delicious it was.
#2 The people are nice and easy to work with Claudia and Gloria are also great party-​planners. For the wedding, we did not have any worries about the details we discussed in advance with regards to food, drink, tables, setup, etc. Gloria handles everything so smoothly that it’s really nice not to have to worry about those things.
#3 Their rates are really reasonable for what they deliver. I would take advantage of it before they get smart and raise their rates.
#4 The cleanup afterwards was quick and painless for us.
#5 I find myself trying to come up with excuses to throw parties so that I can hire them again.
I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone for just about any occasion!

I hired this catering company for my wedding– with a wedding location all the way up in Tiburon in Marin County.
The food was amazing– they even made a vegan, gluten free Chile Relleno. They brought up a woman to make fresh tortillas throughout the dinner, and the aguas frescas they made were some of the best I have ever had.
Everyone was raving about the food, and even my little 96 yo grandmother wanted 3rds.
We went all mexican, with a chipotle salad, cups of veggie and fruit slices, spanish rice, black beans, salsas… they brought everything, plates, silverware, and even champagne glasses.
Can’t say enough– they are the best.
