Super super disappointed for this review:
(4 stars): My husband and I had our massages done today by Sarah; she is exceptionally good and amazingly sweet. I almost wish I had found her elsewhere. I recommend her to anyone, especially people with knots and pain. However, I do not recommend Pure Health as a whole.
The actual wellness center was a huge surprise as I saw numerous pictures on Unilocal/​Facebook and did some research be fore even scheduling an appointment. But, their current office is literally just an office with a tiny, not inviting and compact room where the massaging is done. It’s in an old building with various suites. You can always hear doors shutting, people chatting in the hallways, etc.
We were so excited to come to a holistic place/​professionals since we live in a natural way, but this was not inviting to say the least. I wish the owner would consider a location that is more sanctuary and spa-​like. I understand that rent is not cheap, but I’m sorry no one wants to feel isolated in a dark room. It’s just not relaxing and we were not able to enjoy ourselves because of this. Something else to note: getting ahold of them is a tad difficult (there’s two different numbers I believe). I also initially scheduled our appointments via their website portal and I had some trouble with that as well. Overall, the business needs major tweaking because there’s a list of unfortunate inconveniences.

I’ve been going there for massage for years now. I never walk out the same, I walk out million times better. I just finished a 90 minute massage and feeling GREAT!
As for staff and management, they all have great and always smiling.

I actually made an appointment with pure health for late march, but their massage therapist had no available appointments. So It wasn’t a big deal and I asked to schedule another appointment and I got one for my anniversary, on April 5^th and when that date came up I got a call saying they cancelled it and said the massage therapist called out sick. Now I originally had bought a couples massage on Groupon, and when I contacted the manager of Pure Health she told me that I could still redeem the massage but it would have to be separately. I said that is fine and she told me that she would give me a call in about a week to setup an appointment. A week goes by and I hear nothing. So I contact them again to make sure they didn’t forget. I get a call back pretty soon after from the manager who explains to me how she has to relocate Pure Health and she is sorry and will give me a call in about a month when she settles down into a new place with a new staff and I will get the massage I purchased. So now we’re in may, I never received a call. By this time, i am a little irritated with all the problems that seem to be coming up. So I sent her an email saying I want an appointment, she responds telling me that they currently do not have a receptionist so they can not schedule my appointment yet. The closest appointment would be early July. Judging by this review I’m sure it is safe to assume that I have still not been contacted and I honestly dont want their services anymore. This was a huge disappointment and I have NEVER ran into a problem like this. It is extremely unprofessional how the management handled this situation and perhaps I don’t understand the magnitude of her problems but I am sure I do not want their service anymore. I ended up returning my groupon. Lame.
I’m not the type of person who loves to complain. I work in customer service, I get it but this situation was not ideal.
I’m more upset that I never got to experience the good services this company has to offer because judging by their previous reviews, they seem to handle their patents well. Unfortunate that it had to be this way pure health. I wanted to fall in love with you.

Had a 60 minute therapeutic, with a senior masseuse. I used a Groupon I recieved as a gift that took some money off. It was hassle free and they were able to provide me with an appointment within a few days before my groupon expired (i wasnt paying attention to the date). Over the phone and in person they are very professional and make you feel welcome. I can’t remember the name of the girl that gave me my massage but she was very sweet and a wonderful massage therapist she got every single knot out, without horrible pain. From beginning to end I had a great experience. Will be coming back.

It was my first time here as I found this place through a Groupon deal. The entire staff was very friendly especially their receptionist when I first walked in. My masseuse was very sweet and she DEFINITELY took care of the many many knots I had that were being extremely stubborn. I have to admit though, this was the first massage that actually slightly hurt and was painful only because I’m assuming of the infestation of knots and tension I had all over my back and shoulders. She was a little rough but I politely asked her to massage at a medium/​soft speed since I couldn’t handle the deep-​tissue pressure on my body. After the first 30 mins of kneading all those nasty knots, I was able to manage the last 30 mins with some ease and relaxation.
The majority of the massage was relaxing, but I knew I was definitely going to feel it the next day. And I did… a lot. Overall, very nice staff, relaxing environment and nice masseuse. She recommended that I should use a back roller every day or night to reduce the knots I had so I wouldn’t have so much pain for the next massage in the future. This was a nice recommendation since I plan to purchase one soon for the improvement of my back and the rest of my body. :)

I stay very active in my personal life and my job is also physically demanding, so I get massages regularly (at least once a month). I’ve been to a handful of massage therapy places in the South Bay and Pure Health has been my go-​to for the last year. From physical therapy, to chiropractic work, to nutritional programs, they’ve helped me with everything. I’ve received massages from most of the therapists here and they’ve all been great. They always adjust they’re style to your preference.

I purchased a three message deal on Groupon because my old masseuse has moved away, and I really need to find a new place since these knots weren’t going to work themselves out. I mean, if I foam rolled, they would, but seriously, it sucks foam rolling.
It’s located in a slightly sketchy neighborhood, but I didn’t mind that as long as the massage was good. I was assigned a girl named Rose the first time I came, and she was fantastic. She could apply just the right amount of pressure, and she could figure out where I needed more work. The second time with Rose was great too, so I inquired about the monthly package. That’s where the good ended.
When I went in for my last massage, I found out that Rose no longer worked at Pure Health (I didn’t inquire why), and I had been assigned somebody else. I do wish they called to tell me and ask what type of massage I had wanted to find me someone a little bit more compatible. They told me they did, but my voice message says otherwise; it was just a usual confirmation.
The new person I got was really sweet and friendly, but this girl did not know how to give a proper massage. If I wanted someone to just firmly rub a ton of oil on me, I probably wouldn’t be spending money on it. When I asked her for more pressure, it was on. Painfully on. It was like there were just two modes: painful elbow or gentle rubbing. I was a little late, and she even went over in time and gave me a little more than a full hour. It was really sweet so I thanked her and tipped her well, but I was really glad I didn’t purchase the monthly plan.
I probably wouldn’t be coming back again.
P. S. They keep music on to help you relax, but you can hear a lot of the conversation and laughter from the lobby. This didn’t bother me too much, but I can see it bothering some people.

I first met Cheryl three years ago through a fellow massage therapist, I was not healthy and dealing with so much stress! She got me back on track and feeling great! She has a wealth of knowledge and compassion. I refer a lot of my clients and friends to her.

My very 1^st professional massage (I went with the 60 min deep tissue) and my masseuse knew just what I needed. I’m definitely going back :-}

I had my first experience with Pure Health last Friday, 3÷19÷2015. I bought a living social coupon for the 90 minute prenatal massage and thank goodness I did! This place is a new discovery I would be coming back to not just for prenatal but probably for deep tissue massage post pregnancy. I have yet to try that but I“ve read good reviews. I also plan on getting a couple’s massage. The room was very serene and the bed was comfy. The soothing music was just right. I got Sarah as my masseuse. She’s very friendly and applied just the right pressure where I really needed it, although I could use more pressure ;) She asked what’s been bothering me lately so I was able to point out the areas. I fell asleep the last 20min of the session but I guess I was too relaxed. I am going back there again this Thursday with Lai and I am looking forward to it ;)

Had a great deep tissue massage with Sara, and then saw the Chiropractor for some sciatica issues. Very professional office. Will definitely be going back.

Pure health was a clean, friendly and pretty spa! Sara was my masseuse and very thorough during my session. She was sweet and friendly and gave me feedback on my body muscles and recommendations to fix issues after. I will definitely be going back and the prices are great too!

Best massage in years !!
Me and my husband went in for a 1 hour massage. We were looking for relief and relaxation. The place stands out for how clean neat and tastefully decorated it is. The staff are all amazing, they took the time to inquire about our specific needs and made us feel really comfortable. We had a couple swedish massage from both Aurora and Rachael, they were both excellent, certainly knowledgeable about the human body … Putting enough pressure without being painful! We loved our massage and we definitely are going again for a 2 hours massage !!!
Cheryl the herbalist/​nutritionist is awesome, she is very knowledgeable when it comes to healthy living /​healthy eating !!! Im planning a 21 days body detox/​cleanse with her !!
Overall it is an amazing place: every time we go there we leave with a very good impression and looking forward to going back !!

Let me start off by saying this place is well set up staffs are friendly. Overall great energy coming in, Cheryl the herbalist is awesome! She did a live blood analysis and saw how bad my internals were in my blood witch it was crazy watching it. Cheryl got me to do the 21 days cleanse. At first I was hesitant to do it, but at the end I’m glad I did. With the cleanse there is a guide that tells you what to eat and what not to eat. If you have any questions don’t be afraid to ask her. She will go over the guide with you. I lost 25 bls off of the cleanse. I feel like a total different person. It’s life changing and it’s for the better!

I have been going to Aurora for my prenatal massages. I had 3 sessions till now, and I am really happy with the results. I am in my 9^th month and my legs and hips are so painful. She worked on them for 90 mins, and I slept very well that night.
She knows what she is doing and she also guides you to work on your body. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who is looking for a safe and effective prenatal massage.

I absolutely love Aurora’s massages. I have been to her office twice now and Aurora has seemed to impressed me every time with how precise she is. I have to say that I am very picky when it comes to who massages me and how deep the massage therapist goes. Most do not go deep enough for me. However, Aurora was very in tune with the amount of pressure my body could take and knew when to back off and to add more pressure.
After my last massage both of my calves felt like I had just ran 10 miles. She broke up scar tissue and knots that I didn’t even know I had. Another plus is that they give you bottled water when you are done with your massage and ask you how the massage was. They love feed back at this office and are constantly looking for ways to improve their place.
Side note: depending on the type of massage you get this place can be a bit pricey, BUT the way I look at it is you, pay for what you get.

I felt the need to update my review since my last one was almost a year ago.
Aurora is the best. I’ve had many massages before from various places (in different countries too) but Aurora is so far the best masseuse I’ve ever met. She has a professional but approachable attitude, and she does not try to push you to buy products.
I go for the Deep Tissue massage, because it always relaxes me. You can let Aurora know which area is bothering you the most, and she will focus on that area (while not neglecting others).
I’ve had the 2 hour massage, but for me it was a bit too long — so I’m sticking to 1 hour or 1.5 hours.
I thought of trying other masseuses, but I just don’t think anyone else can beat Aurora’s superb skills or the great prices for such a relaxing massage. I mean, why bother looking & risking your time and money, when you’ve already found one that works for you?
For reviewers who say Aurora’s massage is a bit painful, I think it’s worth communicating to the Aurora because she will adjust the pressure she applies. If you don’t say anything, no one will know — and you know your body (and how much pressure you can take) best.
Also, it’s convenient that you can make Appointments online, rather than having to call. You have to enter in your credit card info, but they don’t charge you until after the massage OR if you’re a no-​show (I think). However, I’d recommend bringing cash because you have to pay an extra $ 5 if you pay with your credit card. This isn’t a hidden charge though, because it’s explicitly communicated on their Appointment website.

The reason I gave them a 4-​star review is merely because Aurora would give you a $ 30 off of your next treatment if you wrote a review on Unilocal.
I have to admit that I got my best massage from one of their previous therapist Rachel, but she is not working here anymore. Rachel knows people’s body and know exactly how much pressure is needed to make you feel comfortable but not painful! Most importantly, she charges you reasonably — $ 60/​hour + tips
BUT Aurora is NOT! I always feel abnormal pain during her massage. And her charges are on the pricy side, $ 75/​hour + tips. I don’t think I would continue the pricy service will less value.
