Speedy Smog Test & Repair

Speedy smog misguided me when I asked about why Shiv repairer is closed on 05-​17-​2016, he said that Shiv went out of business, but when I spoke to Shiv he said he went on medical emergency & he was surprised with what speedy smog foul played during his medical emergency situation.
Stay away from ill business attitude like speedy smog.

Tony and his crew are efficient and polite and get the job done in a timely manner. Most efficient smog checks I’ve had done, and have been back several times with multiple cars over the years.

Truly fast! It’s rare that a descriptive name for a business actually matches their service but in this case it’s absolutely true. I pulled up and an employee waved me in to the test area, I handed him my smog paperwork and he offers me a seat in the waiting area (that has a working TV), I filled out the form (name, address and phone number) then watched a few minutes of tv and my test was done. I paid and was out of there amazingly fast. Barely a few minutes from pulling in to pulling out.

I’ve been going to Precision Tune Auto Care for awhile and I was really unhappy with their diagnosis on my car over the past few years. I was referred to this location and the guys were amazing! They really know how to properly diagnose a car and fix the core issue so that each vehicle will run smoother with a longer lifespan. Their knowledge is vast and they explained everything that was wrong with my car– even the secondary issues that were caused by primary core issues. At my other location, it just seems to be patch up work, but I really appreciate good mechanics and the knowledge that they have. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. They are my new GO TO guys for everything car related.

Review is for the price. They quoted me $ 60 to do a smog check for a 2002 acura tl. I thought that was a bit high so I checked around the neighborhood and found that the median price was 30 bucks. I can understand a $ 5 – 10 markup but double is outrageous.

Came here because I had to do a smog for dmv. My car was seen right away. Extremely great customer service as well. Highly recommend coming here. Also, my smog only took 15 minutes which was great since I was on a time crunch. And the guys are extremely friendly as well !

The check engine light in my SUV was on and it failed the smog test. Referred by a friend, I took my car in to fix the problem. Tony and Hung were very friendly and professional. They fixed the catalytic converters and, voila, the test did pass.
I definitely recommend this place to anyone because they do such a great job.

These guys have done a great job working on my car since I moved to the bay area. My go-​to shop for sure.
The last two times I thought my transmission was in real trouble they found it was only a problem with the computer. The ground wire just needed to be reattached and it was running smooth again. The second time My car would start and wouldn’t move. Turns out I needed a good transmission flush.
They’re very reasonable with price and let me know what’s going on before they make any fixes. I’ll be taking my cars here until they won’t go anymore. I recommend them to all of my friends.

Absolutely unhelpful and sketchy service. When I first came in I asked the pricing from the man at the desk and he quoted 15 more than was posted on their wall. I went ahead and got my smog tested anyway. It failed so they unclearly told me to go drive it 100 miles with a free retest. Btw they didn’t tell me that I shouldn’t have gotten my car smogged with the check engine light on.
I went to my own trusted mechanic got a tune up and few other things fixed. As I left to get my smog my mechanic gave me more clear directions like go immediately after you drive 100 miles and make sure you don’t go when you have a check engine light on and to ask if they could see if the monitor completes before getting it tested. I was told not to trust them if they don’t.
When I returned for me free retest I was told that it is illegal for them to check to see if the monitor completes before the smog. My trust had already been broken by incorrectly pricing me and now they pull this.
After they resmogged my car the man was no help at all. He shoved my papers back to me and said go see your mechanic.
This place is grade A sketchy.

Went in today to get my car smogged. Great Service! Speedy, professional and with the online coupon a deal compared to other places in the area. Highly recommend!

Wish I could give them ZERO stars! They tested and it didn’t pass — said the computer needed to reset and needed a drive cycle. Charged me the full price for the test. Went back after the drive cycle and they wanted another $ 40 just to hook up the computer and see if the drive cycle worked. What a racket! DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR CAR

Speedy lives up to it’s name! I called ahead to see if I needed an appointment for a smog. They said they were not busy and to come on over. I was out of there in 15 minutes or less. The guys were friendly and polite — offered me drinks (nonalcoholic!), a seat and tv :) They took the Unilocal coupon, and best of all my car passed!

Been getting my smog here the last 5 years. Plus oil changes as well. No problems. Quick and easy. I also ran over a wheel on the freeway. Thought i punctured something in one of the pipes below. He jacked up my car and inspected it. No charge. The drinks in the fridge are free as well. Great service overall

I needed an «emergency» smog when I was at the DMV trying to register my new car. Luckily, Unilocaled a nearby smog place and saw the great reviews. Plus, it was around the corner, so win-​win!
This was around noon on Wednesday, and there was maybe one other person waiting. They were able to take me immediately, and the whole process took maybe 15 min. Everyone was super polite. The waiting area was stocked as well. Only thing I could say is when I got my car back, the console was left open and one other things was left open/​moved. Not a big deal either way. I will definitely be back when I need a smog in SC.

It’s ALL in the name… Speedy Smog! I just returned home from having my 2005 Dodge Durango smogged here for the first time and literally was in and out in less than 15 minutes! I Googled smog places in Santa Clara and came across Speedy Smog here on Unilocal,read the reviews, printed the $ 10 off coupon from their website and had my car done all in the same day. Service was easy, Hung was pleasant and I walked out a satisfied customer.

I needed to get a smog check and called ahead (no appointment needed). I pulled up my car and the workers assisted me quickly.
My smog test was completed but I forgot to put the cap back on the oil (so it failed –it’s not the first time I have forgotten). I made the mistake, but they were going to take care of it and retest.
They told me that they would have to charge me the normal rate and the retest rate (79.00). They were following state procedures and I respect the workers and the business because of their integrity to do the right thing.

Was able to get me right in on a Saturday!
I brought a company card from a company that told me about this place and they gave me $ 10 off!

Called ahead to make sure they weren’t too busy– no need to make an appointment or anything so walked right in. Staff is super friendly and professional. I had lost my DMV paper but they don’t need it since they send the records to DMV electronically. (Just remember to pay your registration fee online!)
Total time was about 15 minutes. They have a sitting area with cold water and drinks. If you mention the coupon on their website they give you $ 10 off smog check.
I don’t know if its possible to improve anything on this place or to ask for more therefore a big 5 stars for me! Highly recommend!
