Hi I’m Betsy Godin owner of Moving Matters where we specialize in moving SENIORS. I have been moving seniors since 2006. My sister Jennifer started Moving Matters 15 years ago back in Ohio. We have a real personal touch on our business where we will pack, transport, unpack and set up the new home for your loved one. We also handle house liquidations where we will take care of all of your donations, consignment pieces and dump runs. (We do not handle toxic materials) We handle a variety of move-​ins, move-​outs, internal moves, when your loved one passes away, clear out storage units and can assist with intrastate moves. We are here to help in any way when it comes to finding a solution to your loved ones moving needs.

Moving a senior can be very stressful so I highly recommend using Moving Matters. Betsy’s experience with senior moves allows her to offer good advice and she completely understands the challenges. Betsy was great to work with, responded to all inquiries promptly, coordinated everything and the entire move came off without a hitch. Wonderful… The one word my husband said after working with Moving Matters! We needed to move his mothers things for her and they were able to set up a convenient time & were happy to help with suggestions & measurements.
Betsy & her crew were helpful, fast, efficient and just amazing!
The best was when his mother came in and saw her personal posessions all set up and ready for her she was thrilled. She was so happy to see her own bed and her photos all set up on her dresser it was a wonderful feeling.

Betsy helped us move my husband’s aunt and uncle. She and her crew swept in and got everything moved in just a couple of hours. While we were finishing up at the house, she moved everything in to their new place. And I mean everything! Sheets on the bed, clothes in the closets, towels hanging, and photos hung on the walls. Fantastic!
What I realized only after the move was that her services were really a gift to us, the family. It was a wonderful for us to see how much our aunt and uncle loved their new house, furnished perfectly with their own things, and then a double bonus because we didn’t have to lift a finger!
Everyone was just so wonderful and personable, while still moving at lightning fast speed.

Moving Matters is a great resource if you are a senior (or the loved one of a senior) who needs help moving. Betsy is really fantastic at taking the insurmountable and making it doable. She can help you sort through things, and she and her great crew pack things up, move them, unpack stuff on the other end, get rid of packing materials, everything. She is also familiar with many of the independent and assisted living facilities, and will scope them out for the move. The new apartment looked great when she got it all set up! Betsy has an amazing positive attitude that’s infectious, and this helped keep me from setting my father’s apartment on fire out of desperation. Her crew is friendly and efficient. They all do a wonderful job.
