Serving all of San Diego County, Allegiance Heating & Air Conditioning is based out of Santee and has been family owned and operated for over 25 years. Founded in 1984 by James Rotter, the company quickly grew strictly on a referral basis, with no advertisement needed. Hard work and dedication to his clients, made him one of the top competitor in San Diego County. Survived by his wife and children, James passed away April 18th 2009. The family decided to continue Jim’s journey and maintain the family business. Now Woman Owned, Sarah Rotter is the proud owner. Born and raised in San Diego, Sarah has been a member of the community for 35 years and loves her city and all it has to offers. Sarah succeeded her father’s business in 2009 and more recently obtained her own contractor’s license. Being from San Diego, Sarah understands perfect weather and comfort along with quality products at affordable pricing is what San Diegan’s most desire.

Sarah loves her Country and is proud of her military.

Sarah has an adult softball team at the Sportsplex in Santee and plays every Tuesday night.

AC was blowing warm air. Wanted to go with a local company so I called Allegiance. Glad I did. Scheduled a morning appointment and technician was on time. He made repairs and gave me some tips on how to keep the unit running well. We will definitely call them again, for repairs and annual maintenance.

Allegiance installed a, from scratch, HVAC system in our 1950’s home (see: lath/​plaster interior, crazy old wiring, etc). The installers showed up on time every day and worked late until the job was done. They were great at overcoming some issues as our old floor heaters were plumbed under the house and there was some fire preventative materials blocking the access to get it up to the attic. They pulled the old heaters out for us, moved everything up to the attic and it’s all neat and tidy up there. Haven’t had a need for a tuneup or any maintenance yet but Allegiance will be the business I call.

Let me just start off by saying that not only have I been completely blown away by the customer service of Allegiance, I can honestly say I have yet to come across a Contractor with the ability to maintain an honest and reliable relationship after they complete the work. Usually you get work done and you never see or hear from said person again. Not such the case with Allegiance. I contacted Allegiance as I was referred to them by a dear friend. We needed a whole new system, the Furnace– A/​C unit and all. We received several quotes for this, some of which were nearing the $ 10k mark, which is absolutely ridiculous!!! Sensing my frustrations over the cost, Sarah the owner of Allegiance was able to beat all competitors making our decision very easy. Not only that, we got top of the line equipment so no cutting corners which was nice. Our system was installed on time and without any hiccups. The installers did an excellent job and left without any signs of construction. Since the installation, they have far exceeded my expectations with follow up and annual maintenance. Twice a year I get reminders that it’s time to service and it gets handled asap. I love the follow up and continued relationship we have. To top it off are neighbors all get mad when we compare bills in the winter and summer months. Our bill is always at least $ 75 – 100 cheaper… nothing satisfies me more. LOL This is just a sweet reminder that we chose correctly and I would choose them again and again. Thank you Team Allegiance. You guys RoCK!!!

Allegiance Heating & Air is amazing! From the office staff to the technicians they are very professional, kind, and will do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. They are so clean and left or house as if no one was ever there. We LOVE having AC and am not sure how we lived this long without it! The AC installed, one month ago, has saved us a huge deal on our electric bill too! We were running window units before. Or bill was $ 70 cheaper this month! HUGE THANK YOU to Sarah and her entire staff!

In the midst of last weeks humidity and heat my air died. I noticed the outside unit wasn’t moving at all. Having heard great things about Allegiance and using them once before I gave them a call. The owner Sarah gave me an appointment for the following morning. The tech, Daniel was very nice and professional. Within seconds he located the problem. Bad capacitor. He had the part with him and replaced it in minutes and I was back to nice cold air. And this was all before I had to go to work that morning. Talk about convenience! Daniel even took it upon himself to make sure I knew where my filter was and showed me how to replace it. Which thank goodness because it was dusty as all get out. It’s so nice as a single woman homeowner to have someone you can trust. This is my second time using allegiance and I would recommend them to anyone.

I received the flyer in the mail for the tune up special. Set up an appointment and they showed up on time. Technicians were nice but unprepared. My system evidently had a leak and needed more freon. They didn’t have any freon or stop leak on the truck so they couldn’t service my unit. They asked to come the next day to service the unit and put stop leak and freon in the unit, however they didnt quote me a price, had to check with the boss. The next day they called me when they were on their way and quoted me a price of $ 395.00, way more than the $ 99 special.
I declined and they didn’t show up. I found another company to do it for a lot less.
All is good except, they preceded to send me a bill for services rendered for something they didn’t do. Not a company I would ever recommend.

Awesome Company from start to finish. My husband has MS and needs the house at a cool 65 – 70 degree. Our A/​C stopped working in the middle of the night, we called that morning and Sarah was able to get someone out by the end of the day. What a blessing that was! The techs were informative, politie, fast and clean!

Really an outstanding company ! The owner Sarah was extremely helpful when talking to me about what exactly was wrong with my cooling system. I was terrified it was going to cost me a fortune, but her guys assured me it would be quick and affordable. I’m writing this review because I’m very grateful for companies like this, small mom and pop shops that truly care about you and don’t just want your money ! Thank you allegiance!!!

The guys came out and gave me an estimate and I had about 4 different people come out for estimates and Allegiance was the cheapest. They used a Goodman unit which after doing some research is one of the best. All of the other companies had to charge me to get a crane here to put the AC on the roof, Allegiance had this cool latter crane contraption to put the unit on the roof which saved me money. The guys were done in a day and I have had the unit for two months in the dog days of summer and works awesome. Just waiting for winter to test out the heater. They also let me split the payment in 2. Thanks Allegiance!

We hired Allegiance to install air conditioning in our 1940’s home, and they did a great job. I cannot tell you how grateful we were for their service in this crazy hot summer!
The technician was extremely polite and professional. He was finishing up just as we were having dinner with some family from out of town, and I thought he handled it very well — trying to work around us to minimize the impact on our guests, cleaning up after himself as he went, etc. He even came back later to make a few adjustments to make sure it was operating efficiently, and the owner followed up a week later to make sure we were happy with everything.
Their rates were reasonable (actually quite a bit less than the other quote we got), and the final invoice was exactly according to the quote — no hidden charges or unexpected add-​ons.
I like that it’s a 2nd generation family business — they’re still small enough to care about customer service, but big enough to get the job done quickly!

My review is for the integrity of the owner. Allegiance is female owned company. She operates her business in the most ethical and honest fashion. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects of her business and answers questions on the fly and any well-​trained tech would do. When I inquired about some basic maintenance my A/​C needed, she did not guess at some expensive problem, but rather, merely stated a simple solution that can be tried. I am not a personal friend of hers or this company but just a consumer who can spot a company you can trust when I see it!

I recently hired Allegiance Heating and Air to install a new AC unit, heater and all new ducts. Basically a whole new system. They did an excellent job… Super knowledgable, friendly and trust worthy. Plus their price point was excellent. A deffinate recommend, its hard to find a good comapny that you can trust these days.

Allegiance Heating and Air Conditioning crew know what they are doing. They arrive on time for their scheduled appointments and give you their honest opinion and answer to solve the problem. Allegiance has always given me a better quote for services than any other H & A company. I will never forget them coming to my house, same day to fix my AC in the middle of hot summer when I was having a birthday party. They saved the day. I will never go with any other crew.
