I would rate 4 ½ stars, however my husband would give 1 star only, so its terrible for non-seafood lover, but its good for me. Heres the food I liked: shrimp, crab, clam, brocoli, green bean, fried rice. I didn’t have space for fish, but they looked good. The shrimp was not cleaned, they’re black lines in it, and not easy to take them out, that’s the reason for my rate. $ 12.99 per person.

The worst… haven’t been in 10 years and nothing has changed… huge mistake for thinking it could’ve got better

It is ok. Nothing special, Chicken Wings were not Chinese style but more like KFC crispy and they were cool. Other buffet items were typical but not special. Mandarin in Reading is superior buffet.

Last night we stopped in at this Chinese buffet to celebrate the birthdays of some family members. After being here for about 3 minutes we realized that we probably should have gone to another buffet, but at that point we were committed. The first issue we had with this restaurant was that the place was packed and trying to fight to get through people was a hassle because they only have the one try buffet counter. At several points the kids in our group almost got trampled by people excited to see that they had restocked the crawfish. The second issue was with the staff. At one point no one at the table had drinks and no one cared to refill our cups. The other fun moment was when I was eating something of my plate and the waitress came over and took my plate before I could respond. I know you need plates, but come on. The final issue with this place is that if you are going to have a small buffet, that’s OK, just make sure the food is good. Everything was lukewarm, overcooked, and understocked. The price of admission was too much for the quality, the added 15% gratuity for terrible service was outrageous, and the bathrooms were gross.

First, the price is outrageous, 15 for the buffet. Not only that but the food was absolutely horrible. The chicken was rubbery, the food was bland and tasted artificial. I would never come here again.

this place used to be good, but now the food is tasting differently and the have risen their prices fro, $ 8.99 to $ 14.99 are you serious? I stopped going there a while ago. looking for better and more reasonable Chinese restaurant.

So disappointing was this meal that I’ve written the review before I’ve paid the check. The buffet options are few. When you get back to the table the food is already cold. I had the unsweetened tea and it was bitter from a lack of washing the tea urn. There were 5 ice creams available for desert. Sadly four of the five were down to scraps. The server didn’t punch me in the face but I wouldn’t call him friendly.

IF only I had read the reviews… I live in Saugus and drive by here all the time. One night it was getting late and I just wanted to go in somewhere, sit down and eat. What a mistake. I agree with many of the other posts. This is the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten, and the worst buffet. As other say, crab rangoons are rubbery. They use the fake crab meat a LOT. I tried different things but absolutely nothing appealed to me. They didn’t have old stand-bys like lobster sauce or General Gau’s chicken. Everything looked, and tasted, artificial. And it was not cheap. It was $ 13.95. There is a buffet I go to in Stoneham for Chinese food that is much less, and much better! I was really surprised at the number of people there. I can’t imagine what they were eating. I will never go back.

The food is decent for what you pay for. The good thing is that we got right in the door without a reservation! Don’t know how I feel about it only being there once, but I’ve had better. It is a small, intimate place and would probably be bad for any group over 4. Any group over 6 adds 15% tip automatically which makes the price go up enough to where it’s almost not worth it.

The food ranges from F at worst to C– at best. Tried a lot of items but didn’t truly enjoy anything. Bathrooms so disgusting the girls wouldn’t even use it

This was easily the nastiest food I’ve eaten in a long time. Not even remotely good and actually sad that there was a lot of people there. Stay away at all costs. Master Wok in the mall is about 100 times better and that’s not saying anything.

I love this place. They have plenty of vegetarian options, including several varieties of sushi with no seafood in them. I try to eat here whenever I am driving up Route 1.

Food sucks. Tastes like its been sitting out all day drying up under the heat. Get a plate at Umi in the mall instead.

This place should be checked by the board of health!!! God only knows how long the sushi has been sitting out! The buffet is old and not even turned over or refreshed. Its not good at all !

RUN, DON’T WALK This is the worst Chinese buffet I’ve ever been to, ANDTHAT’S SAYINGSOMETHING. It’s gone further and further downhill as of late and I’m horrified they’ve even added more seafood and even a sushi bar, which, by the way, I think their sushi chef received his training via a DVD you can buy at Barnes and Noble. The face of the waitress when we, semi-laughing, asked for our check was this half embarrassed, half mortified look. That’s probably because we had full plates of food. Sorry, I know, it’s rude to just fill up our plates and waste your food, but I’m literally sure none of this was made fresh. We took bites of EVERYTHING and even ended up spitting out a couple of pieces. If this was served to me made-to-order, I would have sent it back and refused to pay. I’ve never done that before. They had those instant french fries(not that I got any), the crab rangoon was Diarrhea Cream Cheese Filling city and… I’m getting sick thinking about the place. Yet it’s always full of people. I think it’s because Buffalo Wild Wings is next door(mediocre chain but seems like four star gourmet cuisine compared to this absolute dump of a ‘business venture’) and people are too hungry to wait for Buffalo so they resign here. Go to Five Guys, go to Stop and Shop in the parking lot and open a rotisserie chicken and just eat it whole. Right there. It’s so gross.

A below average chinese buffet. They are very convenietly located adjacent to the Square One Mall. They also have a convenient pay by the pound take out option. The food itself is middle of the road american style chinese/polynesian. The chicken wings are battered and fried and have a very strange flavor. The texture of the filling in the crab rangoon is pasty and leaves much to be desired. The other options are routine and the sushi is of the california roll variety. One star for the food and one added star for the convenience.

Didn’t want to wait 30 minute for the new wing place next door, so out of hunger I decided to try out this eatery. From the window I saw other Asian patrons so maybe it was a good sign. And I was surprised by the large amount of selections they offer once inside. The buffet area has 3 sections: hot, cold, and sushi, I had some from each section and will rate them individually: Maki rolls and sushi — some generic California rolls, cream cheese rolls, and small sized futo maki, nothing special. The chef there was making rolls constantly so I was able to try the seaweed roll pieces later, those were decent. The sushi pieces on the boat display were big chunks, but the rice was dry and too vinegary, maybe they were left out too long. The wasabi was off-tasting, not enough of the horse radish spice to it, seemed like they diluted the green paste. Bleeh… Hot buffet — they had the generic pupu platter appetizer stuff which I sampled the spring roll and chicken wing, they were ok. However the main entrées such as the pork chops, clam in black bean sauce, spicy crayfish, softshell crab, and stir-fried green beans are very tasty, so they had some redemption here. There are other generic Chinese food as well, General Gau’s chicken, shrimp with veggies, egg foo young, fried rice, lo mein, egg drop soup, etc, but I didn’t try those. Cold/salad bar — they combined this area with the dessert selections, hence the odd placement for a few things: hard boiled eggs and seafood salad right next to pastry, jello and fruit salad. I didn’t really try anything here since I was full, only had a few pieces of canned pineapple, pear in heavy syrup, then some fresh banana chunks in some red sugar sauce, yeah kinda weird… oh there are 6 different ice cream for self scooping but I skipped them. Overall not bad for $ 12 and not wanting to wait at other near-by busy restaurants. Would I go back? Maybe, but it is not on top of my places for repeat visits.

Do yourself a favor and just skip it, I actually rather go to the Mall food court next door than this. but because my friends came. why not. This is not asian food, it was.gross. If you don’t care about quality but rather quantity, come. I rather not waste my 12 $ here on a dinner when I can get something I like way more for even less. The asian crowd did surprise me. Never coming back! Lowell might be better? but still. ew
