I’m usually skeptical about phở places in malls, but the phở here is delicious.
I tried the Pholicious Special and the Meatball phở, both really happy with.
Very tasteful, and you can have it to go with the noodles already in the broth or seperated.
The spring rolls are good, but the wrapping is not presentable and the rice paper (the clear wrapping) sometimes get stuck to my fingers, which I never ever had a problem with rice paper doing that before. This becomes a bit annoying cause then everything inside falls apart. :(
I’m also not a fan of their chicken here.
I’m really picky with my Boba drinks so… I don’t do powder Boba drinks. which is what they do here.
I don’t mind the coffee and thai tea ones, just the fruit powdered drinks are not my thing. You may like it.

I tried this place last year when it first opened up. My gf and I got two beef phos. Hers was fine but mine had a hair in it so I told them and they gave me another one. Would you believe me if I said the 2^nd one also had a hair in it. Yup! I was just like here I don’t want another one. They gave me my money back. So today I said wth let’s give it another try and it was delicious NO HAIR! The cashier was friendly and we bought 2 regular Phở’s for only 10 bucks !

Decent phở in my opinion. The beef broth is not salty so that’s plus. The bun bo hue broth is amazing, very spicy. The meat was meh but it is a phở shop at the mall so I can’t really expect too much. There is a special promo now, buy one phở the second phở for 3.99. Drink is expensive because a regular thai ice tea with boba is almost $ 6.

This joint is basically a fast food phở shop since it’s located right in the mall food court. Food was meh, it could fulfill a craving but it definitely doesn’t compare to the real thing. Soup base was bland and flat. Also the portions for the prices were abysmal. Large was $ 9…check out the picture to see what that meant. It was nice that they had hoison sauce, sriracha, basil bean sprouts, jalapeños and fresh lime. Spring rolls used really soft wrappers so it looked ugly (restaurants usually use thicker rice paper so that it’s less sticky and rolls well). They were filled with TONS of vermicelli; I got chicken and shrimp together. The chicken wasn’t like slices of boiled white meat, they looked like the type of cooked/​seasoned chicken they use in their bun ga platters. The peanut sauce was really sweet, like diabetes sweet. Spring rolls (goi cuon) were priced at $ 1.75 each, or $ 3.99 for 3. So yeah, honestly wouldn’t come here unless you were absolutely craving some phở. Definitely lighter than all the other Asian options though.
I have to give kudos to the guy who took my order because he basically did everything. Took the order, handled money, refilled condiments, served orders, and cleaned up after. It urked me that so many patrons left their trash at the tables, as if the food court trash can wasn’t 5 steps away. Did y’all leave tip on the table? No? Throw out your own trash then.

I had very low expectations for this Phở place in the mall. It definitly exceeeded what I thought would be a bad phở. The bo bun hue was nice and solidly tastey for myself. I would have liked more meat and noodles in my soup. The coffee drink was alright/​mediocre. A decent mall alternative.

Decent Phở, below average bun bo hue, terrible banh mi. Very pricey but it’s in a mall that’s why. But heed my advice, stay away from the banh mi. If the baguette appears soggy, or the daikon and carrot keel over like a wet French fry kind of way, or the cilantro is wilted, run for your life. Tried a variety of smoothies. Liked the taro, thai tea not how I expected, coffee on the bland side, fruit smoothie okay I guess. Cute seating area, plenty of napkin. Family owned and seem like nice people.

So Pholicious at the Square One mall food court gets the NBucketTV stamp of approval.
When you first look at it your like must be gross phở if it’s in the food court. But surprising not it is pretty good. Now I’m not saying it’s not as good as a stand alone restaurant. But for in a food court it is really good and I will be back again.

I went here the other day since I am on a serious quest to find the best phở North of Boston. I have mixed feelings about this place and I wish there were half stars since I feel like a three and a half was warranted. I order the medium special phở, one egg roll, one spring roll and a banh mi. Yeah, yeah, yeah… sue me because I was being a little piggy that day. I liked the fact that I could buy individual rolls instead of being forced into buying an entire order.
The spring roll was great and I loved how thick the peanut sauce is that came with it. The egg roll was pretty good, but the duck sauce they gave me with it was gross and sickeningly sweet. I definitely prefer to have fish sauce with these. The soup was great and I was shocked that mall phở could be that good. At first I was a bit turned off by the large amount of meat in it, but after I stirred things around it seemed like a good balance. It was missing cilantro, scallions and onion slices, but that did not stop me from wolfing it down. I ate the banh mi when I got home and it was pretty terrible. I would definitely not get that again. The flavors were a bit off and the bread was huge and stale.
I will return for the phở and spring rolls, but I will leave the rest of the menu for other patrons.

I didn’t expect to have the best Phở at this place because it looked like some nationwide chain but WOW it was really good.
I ordered the chicken with vegetables and I was shocked at how good it was. The broth was VERY flavorful and the aroma was amazing. Everything in the soup was really fresh and it all went together extremely well.

Not bad: a phở place in a mall! They have powdered drinks though. Typical honeymelon bubble drink. I really wanted the watery drink instead of the frozen one. I guess I will have to let them know next time. Ice drinks in the winter are a no no, especially for me– increases chances for cough cold and upper respiratory infections. When you see advertising for bubble tea, you imagine fluids right? instead of ice drinks. I’ve been to a lot of bubble tea places but mainly in Manhattan over a decade ago so I don’t know if my normal concept has changed since then because I don’t drink bubble tea much anymore due to high sugar content and caffeine. But occasionally I have the craving for these drinks. Didn’t realize they made the frozen one here by default. Live and learn.
I will also have to try the phở next time. This place is a cute little sitting area within the spot.

I only had the spring rolls, but they were the best ones I’ve ever had! $ 4 for 3 good size spring rolls seems like a good deal to me! Also I asked if they had gluten and the guy at the counter seemed to actually know for sure that they didn’t (although he wasn’t sure about the sauce, so I skipped that) and I definitely didn’t get sick (although I’m not on the extreme end of sensitive).

Purchased a bubble tea and waited 10 minutes for it. The worst part was that the bubble tea was given to me without any boba! They ran out of boba but didn’t bother telling me when I made the order.

Place is actually good for a food court. Obviously this place isn’t good as a restaurant but I would go back if I went shopping at square one. Prices can get a little on the high side and portions are small but you get a bunch of meat at least.

I didn’t get their phở, i got their banh mi with chicken and lychee boba… the banh mi was good, and by banh mi i mean just the bread, not the fillings. There wasn’t any flavor to the chicken or the daikon and carrots. They were all so bland, I could barely taste the mayo/​sauce in there too! I have to say, the best banh mi is in Dorchester. As for the lychee boba, the drink was delicious! But the boba… they didn’t give me enough in the drink and it was already harden. My all time favorite place to get boba would be in chinatown at DK. I’m Vietnamese and I honestly don’t think this place is going to last that long, I’ve had better, and their stuff isn’t even close to it.

Edith K already reviewed the place and I’m not going to attempt to pile on negative reviews, but we went here and it’s a nice looking place inside the food court at the Square One Mall. It’d be cool to see a phở place get popular using the mall food courts as a launch pad, but time will tell.
The food is OK, I wasn’t too thrilled with the beef I received. Very small pieces, and for the price, it was unimpressive. The rice was rice, it was good. Then came the last of our 4 spring rolls. We split them, and I had the last one and I felt something weird, when I looked I noticed a hair.
Now, if they make them there, then that’s bad news. I don’t know if they do (I’m doubtful though). If they get them in frozen, well then it’s tough to blame them for not knowing because they could have never seen.
I doubt I’d ever go there again, whether I had this happen or not. Too many other great phở places with better prices.

Well… the prices are high here… which isn’t too shocking since it is in the mall. However, the phở is really bad. Their broth isn’t well seasoned, it doesn’t have onions or cilantro… very bland and blah. They also only had beef phở… which didn’t have any tendon, tripe, etc. I got a large for 7.99 which is equivalent to a small at every other phở place. My boyfriend got a rice plate and it looked like stir fry beef instead of a piece of well marinated beef you’d cut yourself which you would typically find at a phở restaurant. Even so at this point it’d still warrant 3 stars…
HOWEVER
We also got the fried egg rolls. It didnt come with nuoc cham… weird. Anyways so we were eating away and guess what was found inside an egg roll? A piece of hair… twisted and tangled inside the egg roll. I showed one of the gentlemen working there. He just took it, squished it around and left with it… okay… so we left after sitting there a few minutes. We did not finish our meals because we completely lost our appetite. What a waste of $ 20. Drive up the street to phở paris, even if their name doesnt make sense at least their food is good and hair free!

This place seems fairly undiscovered. It’s honestly my first time eating phở but my husband and I are LOVING it.
We got the seafood phở, plenty of shrimp, nice mellow flavor. Beautiful garnishes served with the meal. We spilt one bowl, it was plenty for the 2 of us.

Wonderful surprise to find in a mall. Beef Phở was excellent. Almost didn’t stop here because they weren’t on Unilocal but decided to try anyhow and liked it so much I had to figure out how to add them so I could leave a review.
