Elegant Event Lighting

It was such a pleasure working with Elegant Event Lighting for our wedding in December! Jay was really helpful and easily accessible during the planning phase. I was initially reluctant to pay the extra money for special lighting, but we are so happy that we did; it made all of the difference. We used patterned lighting of flowers in our ceremonial space at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, and it made the room look absolutely breathtaking. Also Jay suggested to me that we use chuppah lighting, and my photographer was greatly relieved about this. When she initially saw the space without the lighting, she was concerned how she was going to capture our faces. She made a point to tell me about how important it was that we had this lighting. We also rented three chandeliers for the dance floor (also suggested by Jay), and it gave the room such an elegant appeal.
I also was really impressed by EEL’s set up team. I didn’t realize how many people were required to set up these lights. They were running around busily and efficiently for hours. Our wedding coordinator said, «We’ve got the A team working here!» We’re so happy to have hired EEL for our wedding!

Jay and the team at Elegant Event Lighting nailed our wedding at Ignite Glass Studios.
First, Jay was easy to set a meeting with and did something NO OTHER wedding vendor did throughout our entire planning process. We were able to sign a contract with him that day. No waiting for emails, no electronic signatures, no back and forth. We told him what we wanted (globe lights and some uplighting), he told us how much it would cost, we signed the contract. A month before the wedding they checked to make sure nothing had changed.
Then they showed up and did what they said they would do flawlessly. I couldn’t ask for more!

Jay and his team were exceptional to work with! They added drapes to my venue and wow! They transformed the room, and the space became effortlessly elegant, which was exactly what I was going for.

Jay and his team did a perfect job for our wedding Ceremony at the Wit Hotel in Chicago. The lighting and draping turned out better than I expected. They took care of everything with set up and breakdown — it was a seamless process!

After seeing so many great reviews on wedding wire and the knot for EEL I went to Unilocal and realized that they didn’t have a Unilocal page that was easy to find. Being an elite Unilocaler I was shocked, this is my go to place for reviews and Elegant event lighting needs to be here! So, on to my review…
I have chosen EEL to do the lighting and design for my wedding and although I still have quite some time before the date they have made the planning/​design/​deposit process, seamless. I worked with Jay on my vision and he was awesome, he did a few revisions for me to make sure that my vision as well as budget were completely satisfied. I will be sure to update this review as after I do my mock up at the design center as well as my actual wedding and be sure to post pics. Just felt the need to give the team at EEL, incl. Ashley and Jay two thumbs up for the service I have received thus far!
