Commune Salon is the best! I love how conveniently located they are and parking is never an issue. Making appointments is super easy and they are great at reminding you of your scheduled time. Elizabeth is such a talented stylist and so fun to chat with… it’s like sitting with your best friend as you get pampered. She took my color from overall purple to a beautiful honey blonde with balyage and my hair has never felt healthier. I highly recommend Commune Salon and especially the lovely Elizabeth.

Just in town for a quick two weeks and needed a good blow-​out to freshen up my hair. I’ve had hundreds of blow outs, all over the world, and only a handful that I actually liked. Many stylists are simply not experienced in ethnic hair and you’re left with frizzzzzy hair a couple hours later.
Margo is now in that club of go-​to stylists that I will definitely visit again! She was recommended by a nearby spa. She was prompt, and was able to easily wrangle my ethnic hair into a straight sleek blow out. Great wash, right amount of tension and heat with the blow dryer, and followed it up with her flat iron. My hair was clean, shiny and sleek. Booked her for an immediate follow-​up appointment next week without any hesitation. She also does hair extension, and if I had more time in town, I would probably try that out!

Not that he necessarily needs more 5-​star reviews, because I’m pretty sure he can hardly handle any more clients, but I just have to give him props here because Nory is a genius! I’ve been going to him since he was at Molly Moon Salon and he is just simply the best. He’s so skilled and thorough — even the way he shampoos is perfect. The salon smells clean and pleasant and everyone there is so sweet and friendly. Nory takes pride in what he does and keeps up with the latest trends, so he’s in the know on the best products and techniques. His hair cuts are amazing and he has a great eye for color too. His highlights are so natural looking! Commune is top-​notch!

My sister introduced me to Nory many years ago when I came to visit for a weekend in Santa Monica. Ever since I have been making the drive to see Nory no matter where I live. He makes me and my hair beautiful every time. And, catching up with Nory is always a blast. Can’t wait for my next hair appointment!

Nory is the best. The salon is impeccably clean, curated beautifully. They have the best treats and libations to help me unwind whist getting my mane fixed.

This will probably turn into a review for Nory since I have known of him and his amazing talent with hair since I was in high school. I am 30 years old now and when I need my hair did I make sure to go to him. The first time I went to Nory I didn’t know what I wanted, but I was not disappointed as he gave me the most amazing highlights and hair cut. I have what you call a HEAD FULL OF HAIR!!! I mean FULL of hair. Nory often has to re-​fill and re-​fill again on bleach and toner for me. But even though it’ll take him a whopping 4 hours to give me highlights, a cut and style, he truly makes me feel like he’d be glad to do it even if it took him 10 hours. LOL. Nory wants you to look good and he wants u to love what you see in the mirrror. I know I’m in great hands when I sit in his chair.
Commune Salon is a very pretty, clean and welcoming place. The décor and set up is modern and comfortable. You’ll be greeted at the front and offered water, tea, wine or a beer and off you go to change into your robe.
The music playing was a nice touch and had relatable genres rather than what I call «runway music.» You know, that fast beat music they play at fashion shows that you often hear at salons? Anyway, so I wasn’t competing with the noise to talk to Nory about life and catching up is always fun :)
There is lots of parking, plenty magazines to dive into and you’ll definitely feel like a Queen or King for the day.

I have lived in Northern California for over 10 years and still have not found someone as great as Nory. I always schedule an appointment with him when I come home for any holidays because I cant go too long without my ‘Nory fix’. I have long blonde hair and it is hard to find someone who does blonde so well and makes it look so natural. People are always asking me where I get my hair done and its all because of Nory.

Nory is by far the best hairstylist I have been to. I have been going to him for over 5 years and haven’t found someone who does such meticulous and talented work. You are missing out if you haven’t been to Commune Salon. Their friendly staff and glass of wine during your session is the cherry on top!

I have been going to Nory for well over 10 years. When he left a couple of times to cut hair up in LA I was totally bummed. He is an awesome stylist and a super nice person too! I wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else.

I’ve been seeing Nory since he was stationed over at Molly Moon Salon, so at least a few years. I would follow Nory indefinitely because his dedication to the industry really can’t be beat. I was so glad that he opened this salon, but was worried the prices would skyrocket to cover overhead. Nope! Nory keeps his pricing fair and still offers amazing products, service and style. And the location is fantastic. Easy parking, cozy and safe.
Nory always takes his time and I have never felt rushed or misguided when I ask for his advice. The front desk is always friendly and returns messages for appointments promptly — and it’s so pretty! You won’t be disappointed.

So excited about this place! Commune Salon is welcoming from the first moment you walk in. It has a nice cool vibe and I am always greeted by a friendly face at the front desk. You will be pampered from the beginning to end with a robe to wear to keep your clothes clean, a great scalp massage during the shampoo and a cute private alcove to sit under the hair dryer. Nory is an excellent stylist who has spared no detail in making this salon stand out.
There is also a great variety of specialized and unique hair products for sale.

I have been to several salons in Long Beach and this one is by far the best. Nory has been cutting my hair for over 2 years and he is amazing. He really takes time to know his customer and make sure that she or he is looking their best. His experience in this business is obvious from the minute you sit in the chair.
The salon is easily accessible from Long Beach or OC.

While the salon is new, the talent inside is definitely not. Nory has been doing my hair for just about a decade or more (oh my!) and has and always will be a gem in the industry. Super professional and an artist in his craft, it’s rare that you find someone where you can work with for such a long time and just gets you/​your style. I even hired him to do my hair and my bridesmaids hair for my wedding, which was awesome by the way.
New location is easy to get to, tucked away in a small shopping plaza, and parking is plentiful.
