Cardinale GMC

We just left them and after agreeing on a price for a used car, shaking hands with the sales manager (Mike Phillips) and beginning the paperwork, he comes back and tells us they «forgot» to put the repair shop invoice in the price and tried to raise the price on us. Bait and switch. This is a dishonest dealership, do not buy from them. They will try to rip you off.
Update ½/​16: They called us back a couple hours later and offered oil changes, but still not meeting our agreed upon price. We told them, «no thanks.» Last night we got a call that they would honor the agreement we made. We went in today and bought the car. The GM, Dino apologized and not only did we get the car at the price agreed upon, but we still got the oil changes too. We appreciate that they did the right thing at the end. I will give them three stars now.

Came in looking for a car and met Alan. He’s very good and took great care of us. He even drove to Salinas to meet us there and look at one of the cars there. Wound up buying the car! Thank you Alan. Great job!

This auto repair service must be a front for some unknown, because these idiots cannot read a dipstick, let alone a OBDII code. They replaced 2 oxygen sensors that were brand new. They did not give me the ones they took out. They charged me $ 650.00 !,… Plus, they drove my car over 700 miles and gave me my vehicle on Empty, no water in the radiator and a car that wouldn’t go over 50 mph on the freeway. it overheated and died.
They said it was not their fault and left me stranded a few miles from their shop, stranded broken down in the dark. This car ran great before I dropped it off with them! This car was tough and strong, a manual 5 spd V6 Chevy Camaro, but the trouble light prevented it from getting smog.
This is no exaggeration, I hope I save you from giving any money to these morons. You will only be a bigger fool than me if you do. It took me 6 hrs to get home to Prunedale from Cardinale GMC, Seaside.

Not happy with their service. I took my car in for oil change. Then somehow engine check show up and I called to make a appointment to have them check and also my oil was leaking. They said I didn’t need a appointment and just show up which I did then he said sorry it’s busy and come back next week it made me mad because I drove all way from salinas. So someone else made appointment for me come on Wednesday morning. I am not happy with their service. Lousy one ever. That fuck sucks not appreciate their service.

Came here after having a bad experience with another car dealership being incredibly rude, my husband and I came here to look for a used suv. Omar was very knowledgeable, took the time to learn about us and our needs and recommended a 2011 jeep liberty that we ended up buying the next night. Very fair prices and honest business. Will be going back

We had a great buying experience at Cardinale GMC. Our sales associates, Brandon and Omar, were responsive, professional and helpful through the whole process. We bought a used 2013 Lexus with low miles. We got a great price and Cardinale agreed to fix a dent on the roof and some scratches on the bumper for no charge. And Sylvia, the finance specialist, was also great to work with. We would recommend Cardinale GMC to our friends.

Service department leaves alot to be desired after taking my tahoe in 4 timed continued to have the same problem so after alot of money and being told it needed cadaletc converter costing approximately another 1200. We took it to j and d auto. Turns our it needed 2 o2 sensors and the muffler had a broken weld. 900 and it runs like new. Cardinale will not see us again. We have bought several vehicles from them not again

Bought a used 2010 Chevrolet HHR SS from Brandon. We put 5 grand down and were approved for financing. We had a long wait, as the vehicle was being shipped from Colorado. Boy, it was soooo worth the wait! The HHR SS is a rare car, as only 1400 were manufactured. Even after having some issues with the car, Dino, the General Manager, called and we brought it to the service department. Carlos, the service manager, was amazing. He went out of his way to get the problems fixed plus some. We are definitely going to be back when my daughter is ready to buy her first car.
Big shout out to Dino, Brandon and Carlos. You have us happier than white on rice!

This review concerns sale/​purchase of a used vehicle, not the service department. On the + side, they actually were able to negotiate with the lien holder to get me the rate the lien holder promised based on the age of the car. So that helps ease the pain of what happened afterward. The car needed some fixes before it could be delivered, and it took 2 weeks to get that done… the bozos they subbed out the work to had some restrictions about working on days, evenings, weekends, or nights. And the follow-​up communication was TERRIBLE. I’m calling regularly, the salesman is off that day, the sales manager has to call him at home to get an answer, etc. The kind of torture you usually get during a sale when «I have to clear this with my manager.» To make amends, the dealer promised to do an oil change service and detail the car. They did neither. The windshield looked as if it had been wiped with an oily rag, and the oil change reminder sticker is 3 months old.

Thumbs down for this place. We contacted Brandon and inquired about coming down to test drive a specific vehicle that we saw online. I asked him if he could confirm that they still had that vehicle in stock prior to us driving 45 min out of way to see it. After placing me on hold and checking with his manager, he assured us that this vehicle was still in stock and that ‚“they had been getting a lot of calls on this great deal”. We agreed on a time to come down and view the vehicle which was set for several hours after we initially talked. We dealt with traffic, a fussy toddler, and fatigue from working a long day’s work to come down and take a look at this vehicle, but once we arrived at the dealership, there was no sign of the vehicle that we had talked about. I assumed being a reputable dealership that they would have pulled the vehicle that we were interested up towards the front for us, but I was wrong, not very professional.
We walked into the office and asked to speak with Brandon, noting to the clerk that we had an appointment with Brandon. He mentioned that Brandon was in a meeting and would not be able to meet. After a few minutes, Allen (great guy) assisted us. He told me that the vehicle was at their other location (Down the street) and we drove together to pick it up… so I thought. Once we arrived at the other affiliate lot, Allen went into get grab the keys for our test ride, but the vehicle was not there either. It turns out they sold they vehicle early in the morning and they indicated that their computer system had not been updated with that information. Once Allen took me back to the original dealership, he mentioned that he would have another vehicle in a few days that was more money and more mileage. Allen apologized and we left the dealership feeling frustrated. Brandon never came out himself to apologize for wasting our time, which was also pretty unprofessional. The kicker was receiving a generic email from Brandon the next day, thanking us for coming down and letting us know that it was a pleasure to speak with us and telling me that «we develop outstanding relationships where everybody wins». What a joke; Very fake and disappointing. Don’t waste your time here. We ended up going to Gilroy for a better deal!

I took my truck in needing a new GPS part. So I went back the following week when the part came in. Dropped off my truck at 10:50 a.m. and took off with my mother to do some shopping while the truck was to get fixed. I never received a call from Carlos how was the person in service handling my case. I decided to head back to Cardinale at 2:45 p.m. thinking my truck should be finished. When I got there Carlos told me that GMC sent them the incorrect part and that they would have to wait to get a new one sent. I was upset and disappointed I never received a phone letting me know to come pick up my truck from Carlos. They really just wasted my time and patience.

Walked into Cardinale GMC looking for either a new or used car at a good price — was greeted by Warren B. who knew a lot about cars in general and was super helpful without being annoyingly pushy — am going to be buying from him — highly recco’ this guy. They can get you any car you want, not just what’s on the lot.

The service department is great. I took my GMC Acadia here for service and was very pleased with both the staff in the service department and the service itself.

Horrible, unacceptable Service! We called first about a car, made an appoint. for 1:30, drove all the way from SJ to Seaside to see it. First they couldn’t even find the car and drove us around looking for it! Then we find the car, it has sand in it, its filthy dirty! They didnt even know if it had been serviced yet! After some negotiations and promises by the general manager, we decided to take it. During the paperwork the general manager, Michael, informs us that the car was sold! What a bunch of idiots! I kept telling them that folks were looking at the car and they should take it aside, I have never seen such a munch of incompetent monkeys. YOU AT LEAST OWE US GAS MONEY CARDINALE GMC!!!

Purchased my little Mazda from Alphonso and couldn’t be happier with how well he pushed for my best interest! The finance guys worked their magic and shopped me for the best option. Please visit them soon because it will be worth your time!

I must say after just over a year, I am glad to say I gave this place another chance. Today my husband and I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Alphonso. He spent the entire day with us and never lacked enthusiasm or made us feel that we were wasting his valuable time.
We were in the market for a new car and sought to trade in our 2011 GMC Terrain for a bit more luxury. Not only did we leave with one car, but I decided to trade in my motorcycle to get a second car. Yes, a second car! Now we aren’t well off, but Al and the financial team made it possible for us. I’m elated at the staff that is there now and am 100% confident that what happened in my previous review will not ever be duplicated. In part because those people are no longer there, but the new staff really aims to please its customers. We have walked away with two brand new 2015 Mazda’s, a 6 Grand Touring and 3 S Grand Touring. I cannot thank them enough for the service that was provided today.

If I can go from a year ago to now, I fully stand by this company. If you want a truly honest person who wants you to be happy with what you are getting, go see Al!

My husband and I were looking for a new SUV to replace our old Chevy Tahoe. I saw a Yukon in the Auto Shopper and called in for details, Alphonso was very helpful from that point on. Dino even called me that night to ensure I had gotten all the info I needed on the Yukon. My husband and I went in the following day to take a look at it, and again Alphonso was very accommodating with our family. We had our 8 year old son and 12 year old daughter with us. He went above and beyond in taking care of us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Alphonso was completely honest with us from the minute we arrived until the minute we left. I would recommend this great team over several other dealerships in the area where we have had horrible experiences. Even Kylie in Finance was awesome with us at 8:30pm on a Saturday night while we were signing our contract!

Well, if you are looking for shady business deals this is your place. I have had nothing but negative. I was given the wrong contract to sign, signed under false pretenses, the incorrect contract was sent to the finance company. When trying to get the company to fix their mistake… I got, «Well you signed the contract.» The correct contract was thrown away and the second one also seems to be lost. Would NEVER EVER do business with them again as I am still trying to get my lawyer to fix this problem.

My husband and I have bought 3 vehicles within the last year from Cardinale GMC. The staff has been nothing but professional and made us feel like valued customers. We got great deals on our vehicles and the service department is also exceptional. They listen to our concerns and answered our questions putting us at ease and letting us know that we would be taken care of. I highly recommend this dealership as they treat you like family and truly care. Thanks for making every experience a great one!

These guys are awesome, they really work hard to take care of you. I worked with Alphonso V, who did everything he possibly could to take care of me and help me get the truck that I needed. He’s a good, honest man, and he always tries to take good care of service members and veterans. I already recommend that all my friends talk to him before they look elsewhere.
