I love that this shop is in my neighborhood, Alec takes care of his customers, and they are hands down the best shop in town. I’ve first went into American Mary when I first moved to the city and they are now the only shop I frequent. As they have grown their selection has expanded and they have catered to their customers desires. As someone who mostly buys concentrates I initially found few choices, but when I began requesting new waxes they began stocking them. Now they consistently have the best prices on the concentrates that I kniw I want and new items to try for great prices.
And the deals… Sometimes you roll in there and leave with 3 times what you expected because of the awesome deals.
I recommend that anyone who wants a customer friendly shop that will remember you if you become a regular to go to American Mary and introduce yourself I am sure you will find something you want!

Been to this shop 4 times now, and each time has been a great experience. Everyone has been super friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I usually have to shop on a pretty tight budget, but I always leave feeling like my money was well spent. I’m new to the area and have only been to two other shops in the city, but this place will be my go to. Quality bud, friendly staff, and about 5 min walk from my house. What more could I want?

I keep checking around different recreational cannabis spots (just out of curiosity) and got to say this is the spot. Alec is a homie who looks out for his customers. The recommendations are on point! Arigato!!!

Great place! Dude had great customer service and the prices were great! Bought some prerolls and gave the option for a deal or a chance to spin the wheel ended up winning nothing but he still gave me the deal!

American Mary is a great neighborhood spot. Knowledgeable and friendly staff are always ready to answer my questions and offer recommendations. Every time I visit they have an expanded menu. Top notch!

Alec was a great help and hooked us up. Amazing selection of edibles and pre rolled. We got a soda and candies and are going to lay in a hot tub under the stars and imbibe!

Good customer service, we barely had to wait for help. They have pretty good prices (.5gram prerolls starting at $ 7) and a decent selection. Definitely coming back. Only downside is lack of parking but that’s not uncommon in this neighborhood.

Awesome immediate excellent customer service by Charlie. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable about all of his products. Good selection but really what made the difference was the friendly customer service. I spent more than I had intended but he gave me a discount and I left with a smile on my face. Would definitely recommend to others and I will certainly return again.

Walking into this store 6 months ago and walking into it today proved that the quality of this business has gone to SH*T. The store was empty and carried the EXACT SAME pieces I saw months back. The employees act as though they could give two shits about you and your needs unless its a guarantee they’ll sell a piece, and most of the pieces aren’t really worth buying. Even if it’s a local artist the glass isn’t made the best and is just constant shitty work, (the glass ISN’T EVEN FULLY FUNCTIONAL, or some random knock off glass brand). Their shelves are dusty and empty, and even their name brand glass wasn’t really worth the trip in (they had nothing, Where are your name brands?). Anything worth buying is sold out and you get told it’s been reordered and it’s going to come in, but it seems to take them years to get it in. I guess i’m curious as to how you can have so much of the SAME glass (not same artist making more glass but the same exact spoons, sherlock, slides, etc) and not move a single piece. Doesn’t seem like they get ANY business nor does it seem like they turn glass around very fast. I think my money is better spent on a glass shop that is willing to support its community, give back, and actually gave a shit about how their shop looks as well as their customers needs (which this shop obviously doesn’t). Puffin Glass is a thing of the past, if you want something out of date and ugly its the place to go, if you want something quality, try ANY other glass shop in Washington even a smoke shop, I guarantee you’d be treated better, and find what you wanted any day of the week.

Puffin Glass is my favorite shop in the area, no question. I frequent quite a few shops and previously stayed close to home on Capitol hill. After moving I branched out a little bit and ended up at Puffin Glass. The first thing I have to say is WOW, their selection was awesome. Jared was a super chill dude who obviously knew what he was talking about. Because I have a hard time not buying everything I want when I first go into a shop, I didn’t even pick anything up. Jared pulled at least 20 items from the case for me and answered all my questions openly and honestly. Puffin glass is officially my new go to shop!
They also carry a lot of the big names in the game like toro, sheldon black, illadelph, roor and many others. One thing that really caught my eye was some of the amazing hand made artist pieces. They had some awesome stuff from Salt Glass and Snic Barnes which is a treat just to have in your hands!
***Also they are a store who carrys grunge off, for those of you who know about and swear by it!

Although I don’t smoke, I went here to meet a family friend who was buying a birthday gift for a friend.
This was my first experience in a glass shop, and I gotta say I was impressed. The craftsmanship in some of the more decorative pieces were AMAZING. One one more extravagant piece was priced at $ 10,800! Pretty awesome to see, regardless.
Also, the man at the register was nice and helpful with my cousins purchase of a pipe. He was also calm and welcoming as a few of my friends were with me as we browsed.
Great experience. Awesome glass work.
