One of our main goals is to take the stress out of relocating. We provide full service Residential and Commercial moving solutions across the entire state of Washington. At B&Z Moving we are known for putting our «customer’s first», being competitively priced, reliable, environmentally sensitive, and easy to communicate with.

History

Established in 2012.

Founded by Zac Gripp in 2012, B&Z Moving remains a family owned and run company dedicated to serving other families in the greater Seattle and Tacoma areas.

Basically just what is in my email signature (the UTC also let us know that for legal purposes they considered ANY email we write to be advertising correspondence… Which is ridiculous, but a whole different argument) is what we would like to put at the bottom of either our specialties or history section.

Manager

Born in Tasmania, Australia, Timothy immigrated to the United States in 2002 to marry his wife, Leilani. They have an extensive family, including B&Z Moving’s founder, Zac Gripp. Timothy and Leilani have worked in numerous industries, including in managerial roles and extensively in customer service related industries.

Together, they serve B&Z Moving in attempting to provide the personalized and family oriented touch so often missing in the moving industry.

I have no idea how this place got such good reviews. I based my hiring of them on the positive Unilocal reviews and the good customer service on the front end. However, the actual move was the worst moving experience I have ever had.
Everything up to the actual move was great, but once the two guys got there is was all downhill. Very nice men, but absolutely the worst movers I have ever used — and I have moved a lot.
It’s as if they were trying to drag the move out as long as possible. I have never, ever seen movers move SO SLOWLY and seem confused by every object. I had just broken my toe and was moving items up and down the stairs faster than they were because it was more painful to watch than to walk on a broken foot. There was a great deal of just standing around and I had to insist they back the truck into our giant driveway rather than taking each item an extra 100yds out to the street. They damaged a chest of drawers beyond repair, it had to be scrapped, and also smacked items against stairs and doorways regularly — there was damage to walls and doorjambs as well.
I expect movers to be expeditious and know how to handle large objects — AT A MINIMUM. I have never, ever had a single item broken before — and this item wasn’t even heavy or difficult to move. I don’t expect to need to give them direction and walk around on a busted foot faster than they do. When I did complain to the company, not the slightest hint of an apology.
In my many, many, many moves this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. If you want great movers use Can’t Stop Moving. I used them for a smaller move and wished I had stuck with them. They seem more expensive but move fast and don’t break your stuff so you save in the end.

Lani was efficient with the scheduling and estimate. We ended up moving quite a bit ourselves and they reduced the cost to a reasonable amount. The movers were efficient, courteous and professional. Can’t say enough about how they helped take the stress out of our move. Would highly recommend them.

Responsive to e-​mail, fairly priced, communicative on the day of the move (short move, btw: all of 6 blks north of where I was living), incredibly fast and efficient, always asked when uncertain about a given item. Could not ask for better service. Highly recommend!

I hired this company based on reviews I saw on Unilocal,and I, too, could not have been happier with their services. We were helping our daughter move out to her first condo, so they moved her bedroom furnishings, our entire bonus room (family room-​type furniture), misc. boxes, lamps, etc. The team (2 young men) were awesome! The were courteous, respectful and extremely careful. They were careful moving all the furnishings so as not to damage or scratch them, but equally as careful not to damage, dent or scrape walls at our home as well as her new condo. I was thinking we were going to need to touch up paint — but I was wrong; they did a great job and I sincerely appreciated it. After finding such great reviews on Unilocal which lead me to hire them, I felt compelled to write a review myself, so others may use and appreciate their exceptional moving services. I would use them again and would recommend to anyone wanting a problem-​free move at an affordable price.

Moving is ALWAYS a nightmare, but B & Z made it so easy! Having been someone who has moved myself plenty of times and knows well the experience of 57 trips to the car, or maybe 3 or 4 car trips and then being sore for weeks after from all that heavy lifting, B & Z is essentially a group of miracleworkers.
From beginning to end, they helped make our move as smooth as possible. On the day of the move they were friendly and professional and helped ensure that the actual loading and unloading of the truck would be painless. Parking in Seattle — especially to where we were moving, in the International District, isn’t exactly easy but due to their foresight we were able to have them in and out pretty quickly.
Our movers were casual and made smalltalk but were always moving. There wasn’t any feeling of obligation or weirdness in speaking with them. During our move I found myself feeling pretty fond of them both, to be honest! It was almost like hiring much stronger versions of my friends to carry heavy furniture for us.
There was a slight hiccup on the administration side of our apartment complex and B & Z discounted the time from the end total, since it wasn’t our fault, which was really kind of them.
Hopefully, we won’t have to move in the near future, but if we do, we’ll be calling B&Z again!

These guys were awesome. One of their workers called in sick, so Zac offered to comp the whole move! In the end I paid half price, even though he got two more workers to show up on short notice for the second half of the move. Really excellent customer service and very efficient workers.

I was always worried to hire movers because of all of the horror stories you hear. When I moved into my apartment, I swore I was going to get movers when I moved out. Via Unilocal,I found B&Z movers, cross-​checked with the state website to verify they were licensed (you’d be surprised how many are not), and sent an email to get more information. Less than 24 hrs later, I received an email back and though a couple of short exchanges was given a quote for my move. Due to the friendliness and timeliness of the response, I didn’t even bother to get another quote. The quote I got seemed very reasonable and fair so I did not feel the need to shop around.
The day of the move, I got a call to let me know their ETA, they showed up, moved everything and did it all under the time I was quoted. Nothing was damaged and everyone was so nice and easy to work with. After this experience, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move!

This was as best of an experience as we could have asked for. Very professional and took care with moving our things. After seeing what had to be moved, they informed me the estimated cost would be likely much lower than first quoted. In the end, it was $ 300 cheaper. Both guys extremely friendly as was Lani over the phone. They were very hard workers and even took the time to play with my son and show him the truck while we finalized the paperwork. I will be recommending them to everyone I know.

The B&Z crew was great! They got the job done within their original estimate and that included moving part of our items to a storage room. They made our move so easy and quick. They had to move us out of a 2 story condo so double sets of stairs included.

Another Unilocal win! Based on reviews, I booked this company for a house-​to-​house move yesterday.
I scheduled 3 movers and a van, but about a ½ hour before they were due to arrive, I was notified that one person called out, so only 2 movers could make it that day. «It might take longer than we thought», they apologized. Eh. Moving never goes as planned – it takes as long as it takes.
Timothy and Alan showed up within a ½ hour of the scheduled time, and were the consummate professionals. About an hour later, I heard a woman’s voice in the moving van. Lani, aka: the boss, showed up to assist! And managed to find another mover who arrived about an hour later.
This was a BIG MOVE, with a decent amount of furniture and boxes, AND a very tricky stairway to navigate for ½ the new house. All but 1 piece made it to that floor, thanks to their persistence.
A crappy table I had fell apart when they picked it up. A piece of fake wood furniture broke off while being moved. Timothy promptly told me about both occurrences – which was considerate, and completely not their fault. They were the most careful movers I’ve ever had, even warning me about moving a mattress down that tricky stairway – «the paint on the walls might get scratched” – before attempting to move it. Fine with me; I can touch it up as indicated. They carefully moved that mattress, and the walls were fine.
Sort of a long review, but I’m just so pleased with their service. VERY careful movers and VERY efficient, and they clearly strive to do their jobs well. What also really impressed me was that even after the 3rd mover arrived, Lani stuck around until the move was complete! The amount I was charged was what they originally quoted me!
That is dedication, and is greatly appreciated. Whatever business you’re in, things don’t go as planned sometimes. I don’t judge a company by that; I judge them by what they AFTER that, aka: customer service. B&Z Moving shines.

B&Z Moving was great from start to finish from my first experience of contacting Lani to schedule the move and to working with the movers on the day of the move. This is a family owned business who prides themselves in quality work and putting the client first. The movers were great to work with, and they were quick, efficient and worked their butts off (sweat literally dripping off of them!) to get the job done well. In fact, they got the job done well under their estimate, which I appreciated. All of our belongings were moved without a scratch! Don’t waste your time researching other moving companies. I did the research and found B&Z Moving to offer the best rates and service available.

I moved from a studio in Capitol Hill to a 2-​bedroom a mile away. Both apartments were 3rd floor walk-​ups. They quoted me 4 hours to do the move, but they managed to get everything downstairs, onto the truck, over to the new place, off the truck, and into our new apartment in 2 hours flat.
Seriously. It was amazing to watch.
All my belongings made it over in one piece with no damage and no complaints from the two guys who were both super nice and ridiculously quick. My boyfriend and I both used B&Z to move into our new place and we both couldn’t be happier. Doing this move by ourselves would have taken forever and it was worth every penny to have B&Z help us out.
Don’t bribe your friends and family to help you move. Just call these guys. Definitely would use again and recommend to friends.

I couldn’t possibly be happier with my experience with B&Z. From beginning to end, they made my moving process easy. I had to reschedule my move because my new place wasn’t ready when I thought it would be, which worried me, but Lani was so reassuring and helpful. The quote came in lower than the other companies I checked with.
The guys were great! They moved a wardrobe I thought it might be impossible to move, and they obviously worked hard to get everything moved quickly. They were careful with my stuff, no damage whatsoever, and they were super friendly and professional.

B&Z Moving was a lifesaver for me. I had never used a moving company before and I was worried about my stuff being damaged during the move, or about how long it would take, since moving companies charge hourly. I chose B&Z because of their reviews and they were absolutely incredible. They arrived exactly on time, began as soon as they showed up, worked quickly and had everything moved safetly from my townhouse into my new apartment in two hours flat. As if that wasn’t enough, both of the gentlemen who arrived were completely professional through the entire process. I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Used B & Z for a recent move from a 1 bedroom apartment to our first house. Zach & his crew showed up on time & ready to roll; enthusiastic, courteous & hard working bunch, to be sure. Quick in moving our large pieces & boxed items into the truck, patient & helpful with the last-minute-how-the-heck-do-we-box-this?-items…they helped us get OUT of the place, good stuff.
Move in, to the new place went great. No bumps, dings, scrapes on anything… was the hottest day of the year (100!), and they crew worked like horses the whole move… they were terrific.
Zach is super personable & a great person to work with in a stressful time (moving!); his crew were great, polite & very accommodating the whole time. We plan to use B & Z again for moving our storage locker of horrors into our new house in the next month or two, as well.
Net/​net: Great value for what you get, reasonable prices & great customer service. Can’t go wrong with B & Z… give them a call.

Excellent movers! My husband and I sadly weren’t as prepared/​packed as we would have liked to be but it didn’t phase the team and they jumped into the job with great attitudes! Was able to move a 3 BR home 2 hours under estimated timeline without any damage or issues.
One suggestion — we didn’t have checks or cash on us and they forgot to tell us that their credit card processing was down. We had to run to the bank to get funds at the last minute, but they didn’t seem to mind the short wait.
Will definitely use them again!

I’ve moved a lot! I average a move every other year. So since I’ve been in Seattle that has meant I moved about 10 times.
B& Z was the best mover I had ever. I called and had a time set. Than moved it up two days. They were great about helping me. The owner called after the move to make sure I was happy. I can tell you no one does that anymore.
The movers were fast and careful with my stuff. The best part is the rate was more than reasonable. I highly recommend them and will use them next year when I make my last move!

These guys are friendly, competent, and cheap. Had them move a sofa from Rainier Valley to Renton, and they quickly moved my [heavy, large] sofa up to my apartment.
The rate they charged was very cheap, but still did a completely professional job. Really happy with these guys!
